Good food and friendly staff! They have a good variety and the pricing is good too. Hard to find quality food at these prices!

TLDR: Better than Shahs/H&M. Beware of the red sauce (it's hot hot)…read more Probably one of the better halal spots you can find on the Suffolk LI area (without having to travel deep into Queens). Go here if you are looking for quick, delicious, and cheap halal food. Ambiance is mid, only because there were these ginormous bugs chilling/flying inside the store. Otherwise, it was pretty clean. Workers/owners are super friendly and very accommodating. Let's get to the food....: Falafelina over rice: YES. A place that finally does the falafels right!!! They are actually crispy, unlike local competitors such as Shahs and Hamza and Medina which are soggy. The owners said that they are cooked and made fresh, and not frozen. OP. They offer side salad such as chickpeas, black beans, and lettuce. The white sauce was normal + red sauce was very spicy. Great job. 8/10. Combo over rice: Friend said it was pretty good. No complaints. 7/10. Lamb gyro: Also no complaints. 7/10. Come try it out!

When we entered, the gentleman taking our order seems lackadaisical and had to clarify a few times about the contents of my order. Please keep this in mind, only one other customer waiting with me and it took over 30 minutes to receive my order for just two platters. Finally received my order and that was just the start of my poor dining experience. Me and father couldn't eat in peace because there's an abundance of flies that's absolutely ridiculous and keep flying around our food and the entire restaurant! I spent half my time shooing away flies from our food. Now let's get to the quality of food. I ordered a mixed Platter and I can't express how highly disappointed I am. The lamb and chicken was very tough and chewy, it's the first time in awhile I didn't finish my meal. Also when compared to other similar halal platters, it's noticeably less than what you get. I will give credit their whiting fish is surprisingly good. Last but not least, it's not worth the price at all. I ordered 2 platters, 2 bottles soft drinks and side of pita and everything came up $31 and that's pricey for what you're getting (less food) and disappointing quality.

This ain't Little Neck Parkway and Hillside Ave! (But hey, the wall to the left when you walk in…read moreshouts out to the OG spot). Nah, we're all the way out east in Lake Ronkonkoma for this Halal action with Hamza & Madina rockin' their combo plate. My fiancée and I recently ventured over to this spot to grab some dinner and we were hit with just what the food cart customer ordered. Well, that's the thing about this Hamza. It's an actual brick and mortar place! I mean it's not massive, but you could totally sit and dive right into your Halal after ordering it. For us, we took it to go as per the usual experience (it's super close to our new abode, but it's nice to know we could sit if needed). What's also pleasantly nice was the employee who helped us. He was relatively friendly and liked that I knew of the original Hamza cart. I'll say he was a tad pushy at the end trying to get us to buy some drinks and/or dessert, but otherwise the guy was a fine chap. What was also fine (or beyond fine!) was the food. This chicken and lamb combo platter was exactly like the ones we were used to having. Tender meat, creamy white sauce, a little kick from the red/hot sauce, and great flavor from first to last bite. I do have to say that Halal Guys' red sauce just packs a better punch (and their pita on the side is a nice touch too), but Hamza is still superb. The only mild downer compared to the food cart is the price. Things still came in it at a cheap total (under $20), but that's a bit more than the cart itself. Plus no free drink along with your combo which was a bit of a bummer (even if not needed). Overall, this Hamza & Madina location in Ronkonkoma is deliciously delightful. It's got the exact same tastes as the original food cart which gives this New Hyde Park-raised fella a touch of home that's not too far from my new home in Ronk. I'm looking forward to many more white-sauce-doused meals from this green and blue Halal building.
