I wish I ordered 5 instead of 1. I can eat those all day long. Never have I ever had cornbread that bomb in my life. Come get you some! The lovely lady upfront with the red curly hair was nice and helpful. The other cashier which was a young boy also seemed pretty nice! If you're craving BBQ, ya'll gotta come try this spot out. I've eaten my way through every smokehouse in Cincinnati, so when I say Midwest Best BBQ is the real deal, believe me. My arteries are practically Yelp-certified. The team of servers and cooks seems like they recruited an entire football team of young men from the University of Cincinnati; service so fast you'd think they were running a two-minute drill, attentive enough to make your mom jealous, and coordinated like they're protecting the quarterback only this time, the quarterback is your pulled-pork sandwich. Their wings, rubs, and sauces? Every single flavor profile was so good I nearly proposed to the coleslaw. And don't get me started on the G-Funk wings. They're delightful, though naming wings after a rap genre means you half expect Dr. Dre to hand you wet wipes. And let's talk about the smoking schedule. They've got a night smoker and a day smoker, which sounds less like a BBQ setup and more like a buddy-cop movie: "Day Smoker plays by the rules, Night Smoker breaks 'em, but together they deliver justice... in the form of brisket." Mark, one of the owners, literally smokes meat during a half-day shift with the love and passion of a Michelin-star chef who moonlights as Cupid. This guy makes ribs like he's serenading them. If Hallmark made a "Brisket Romance" channel, Mark would star in every single movie. I bought several pounds of meat to take home. Not "a pound." Several. Because nothing says "self-control" like hiding a bag of smoked chicken behind your kale in the fridge. Exclamation point. Period. Now, location... ...here's the kicker. They're hidden off the road over a hundred yards. That's right, it's the Area 51 of BBQ. You basically need Google Maps, a Sherpa, and divine intervention to find them. Yet, somehow, when you do, it feels like stumbling upon the Ark of the Covenant... ...only tastier, and fewer Nazis melting. Inside? Casual. TVs locked on Bengals or Reds games, so you can watch disappointment while you eat happiness. Patio? Shaded. Perfect for when you want to sweat from the hot sauce, not the sun. The sides? Top echelon. Beans, slaw, cornbread, each one a little sidekick to the main meat superhero. And for the low-carb crowd, this place is a protein paradise. Keto bros rejoice: you can bench-press your brisket guilt-free. Bottom line: Midwest Best BBQ doesn't just feed you, it baptizes you in smoke, sauce, and joy. And if you're not leaving with meat sweats, did you even go?

I'll just speak of the folks. and brisket because , if you know me, this should not surprise you…read more.. I've been following Historic BBQ on Yelp for a couple years and there's not been a 2nd review in six years? I followed Historic on Instagram in hopes they'd announce a day/time/place for me to come chat and brisket. I was a bit hesitant as his web page states that they are official bbq competitors and honestly, I'm not here for the show, I'm here for the flavor and texture. Finally got to talk to Tony(and his dad!) and as I'd expected, they are super friendly and we could talk about bbq for hours. Service was immediate and pickup took maybe two minutes even with me and all my questions. Tony and his dad were incredibly informative in the process and you can see how much they love to make people happy with their bbq. The trailer was parked right off Main St at a local beer house called the Common Beer Company. They mentioned they will be here on the 4th Sunday of every month so I know when and where I can find them. The brisket was absolutely delicious. That day we are brisket for dinner. Last night we used leftovers to make brisket/cheese quesadillas and again. Delicious. The meat is perfectly cooked; faultless bark, juicy and very flavorful. They mentioned as I walked up at around 2p and they had just sold their last few bones of the ribs so plan accordingly. I'll be back, I love supporting a local family.

The ambiance is a turn of the century brick firehouse. Hubby & I ordered the Firehouse Sampler ($34.95) with 2 sides (mac n cheese, scalloped cabbage). My son got the Pulled Pork ($14.95) with 2 sides (mac n cheese, green beans). Both of these meals needed garlic bread served with them. There were 3 made in-house bbq sauces & they were all bland. Sadly, there was no Carolina gold bbq sauce. The meat was good but a little dry. Of the 3 sides we tried, the green beans were the best. I would like to return & try something on the Handhelds menu. I need bread with my bbq meat!

You have an experience that will please any pallet. I love it that they have three different barbecue sauces for you to choose from, Hot, sweet and mild. To me it lets you choose the flavors you like because one has a little more of a brown sugar taste and the other has a little more of a vinegar taste. I like to dip my sandwich. I got the visit in the evening and introduce a friend from Michigan to one of my favorite restaurants. He was so happy with a brisket. There is so much history and so many cool things to read on the walls. The decor is charming and it's an awesome place to sit and have a beer and catch up with a friend afterwards. It's my favorite for lunch and dinner in the depot district.

It was like a small city that I had never heard about. There were so many stores and restaurants all around. The atmosphere was amazing, there was a celebration in the square for Juneteenth and the live band and singers were wonderful. The food at Cowboy Sallys was delicious. I got the Coca-Cola Short Ribs and they were so good. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the short rib fell apart like butter. My friends each got a sandwich and they loved them. We ended the meal with dessert, their bread pudding and chocolate lava cake. They were both delicious, and the cake was nice and warm. Our server told us that the lava cake is supposed to come with ice cream and they ran out, so she took it off our bill which was very nice. While the service was very kind and welcoming, it was a little slow. Our server took a while to come to the table in the beginning and was somewhat absent during the dining experience. The host came over to take our order because she was busy. But they were both very nice when they did come to the table and chatted with us. Overall it was very fun and the food was really good, and it was the perfect night with nice weather and live music not far away.

Lots of black, blue, darker colors, but nowhere near as macabre. Pleasant, though. We were given menus, cool, leather bound mini binders. (These are way different than other pics from earlier reviews) Really neat selection of house drinks (adult beverages) wide selection of Bourbons, whiskey and tequila. My wife got the Berry Naughty, (see menu pic for description) Evan waited on us. I ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, Hickory-smoked pulled pork + Tangy Carolina gold BBQ sauce + Southern slaw + House pickles + Cowboy Crack Sauce + Buttered brioche with fries. It has coleslaw and their special Cowboy Crack sauce on it. The pulled pork was cooked well, huge amount of meat. Definitely not shredded, but pulled apart. A few chunks were at least 2" in length and about 1 1/4" wide. Also, it comes with a boq sauce already on it, besides their special sauce. My preference is the pork has no boq sauce on it but it's at the table to add if it's needed. But, gotta say this, HUGE amount of meat, and a tasty bun. Fries were good, but not spectacular or special. Their ketchup has some kick to it, so that was pretty neat. But, my taste buds were almost confused with the special sauce, the bbq sauce and then the ketchup. My wife ordered the Coca-Cola Braised Short Rib Slow-braised short rib + Coca-Cola reduction + Buttery whipped potatoes + Smothered green beans + Crispy tobacco onions. Next time I may order that. I tasted the meat and mashed potatoes, yeh, really yummy! All in all, a good night, really good service, not too noisy, nice decor (several lights looked burnt out in a corner chandelier and a a dark evening, it would be difficult to see a menu. Just sayin') Not a big drinker but definitely a large selection of adult beverages. Would definitely make it a fun evening. Yeh, warrants a return visit with friends!!
