Menu unfolded

First we called to move our reservation back, and that was handled by Nick with no issues. The menu is uniquely presented. Kristin, bartender and our server is amazing. She made wonderful menu suggestions and made us feel like we were friends not customers. The pimento cheese dip is delicious. The deviled eggs are great too, adding sweet corn and pimento is fun. Richelle had the chille molasses brisket and I had coca-cola braised short ribs, this is high quality gourmet bbq is a fun casual atmosphere. Thanks to Kristin and Nick and everyone else in the back of the house for making or dinner out special.

The Belle & The Brine

My family went here for some brunch on a Sunday around noon. Not too crowded. Our server was Kristin, she took very good care of us and explained some of the menu items. We sat inside and still had lots of views outside very open with lots of windows. We started off with two orders of Beignets one with chocolate sauce the other with raspberry sauce, both were delicious and complimented each other. For our mains I had the southern slap, very unique southern twist on the egg sandwich it was delicious and the roasted potatoes that came with it could be a main by themselves. My wife had the Sunday sinner, she said it was fluffy and delicious. Others in our group had The Belle & The Brine, Shortcake Honey and Pour Some Creme Brulee on Me. Everyone loved their food. We'll be back for sure!

Nashville Showdown (BISCUIT SANDWICH)
Soriah B.

We have been to dinner a couple of times and they were either decent or really good. I decided to try their breakfast and I was let down. I ordered the Nashville chicken biscuit. When looking at my plate, I was pretty impressing by the size of the chicken and the visual texture of the fried breading and the cowboy potatoes. That's about it for positives. It was supposed to be on a honey butter biscuit, when I tasted it there was no honey butter and it tasted just like a KFC biscuit, I'm not joking. There was nothing Nashville about that chicken. It was breaded, fried, just a dash of dry rub and that's it. I had to add a lot of hot sauce. The potatoes had so much potential, I enjoyed the crispiness of it but there was no seasoning. Not even salt and pepper and there weren't any on the table. I asked the waitress for some and she forgot and I would rather eat warm unseasoned food than cold salt+pepper food trying to wait to ask again. Their eggs were good at least. My husband had their French toast with the apples on the side and his critique was that they were soggy and was going to crisp them up when he got home. Not sure if it was an off day or not but I've had good flavorful meals by them, I know this breakfast meal could have been better and hopefully they can improve in the future.

Spicy chicken pasta

Came to this restaurant for restaurant week and I literally have no complaints. 10s across the board for the decor, the food, the service and the staff. We ordered Pepper Jack & Hot Honey Cornbread, Crispy Brussels & Bacon, Blackened Salmon, Spicy Chicken Penne, Texas Bourbon Bread Pudding and Key Lime Pie. Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The drinks we ordered were fantastic my favorite was the Texas Spiked Tea. There was a manger or owner walking around making sure everyone enjoyed their food and providing things you might night think you need (like extra sauce for the pasta for when you take it home). I can wait to come back to this restaurant and order off the main menu!

Congealed Mac n cheese with jelly like pieces in it. Came out of the container all one piece.

We love a good bbq- it's pure comfort. Sadly- this was not it. We ordered via DoorDash: pulled pork, hot honey butter pepper jack cornbread, Mac n cheese & nana (banana) pudding. The pulled pork was good- so were the house pickles and pickled onions. The sauces were rough. I'm a Carolina gold kind of gal- I love a nice tangy mustard bbq sauce & my hubby likes a sweet or Smokey bbq. The gold bbq smelled like honey mustard salad dressing with some vinegar added to it. The bbq was tomatoey with a heap of garlic. Not great. The Mac n cheese- congealed is the best way to describe it. There were globs of clear jelly looking chunks in it- (see picture) I took a cavatapi noodle from the top and oddly it tasted like kielbasa?? It tasted meaty- no cheese flavor-no creaminess- but it's vegetarian? I had the highest hopes for the cornbread. It sounded so good. While cornbread can be dense- these were heavy dry bricks. With a title of hot honey butter pepper jack cornbread- I tasted none of that. There were some scallions on the bottom. Know how corn tastes right from the can? Slightly metallic? That's what this tasted like. Nana pudding. The pudding portion tasted so much of preservatives. It had some banana pieces in it, wafers, whipped cream and some caramel. I hate to say that It just wasn't good - other than the plain pulled pork/house pickles/pickled onions. It's why we gave 2 stars. Like I said- we were excited to have some comfort food for lunch and it just wasn't.

Went to Cowboy Sally's for the first time. The southern selection of food sounded great. The menu is so cute. It looks like a journal. I decided to try a drink. I'm a sucker for anything watermelon so I tried the watermelon crawl. I had a hard time tasting the watermelon. The drink tasted more like cranberry juice. It was ok but not what I hoped for. I decided to try the crispy Brussels and bacon. The first bite had such a strong acidic punch. The menu didn't list vinegar but I could taste it. They were ok just not the best I've had. For my dinner I had the Coke a cola braised short ribs and they definitely were amazing. They had the best flavor and cooked to perfection. Served with mashed potato's and green beans with fried onion. The meal was so worth ordering. My boyfriend really wanted to try the cornbread pot pie. Unfortunately they were out of it. He got the catfish instead which was ok. The cornbread it came with was excellent. The side mac and cheese was ok. Not as good as I was hoping. I ordered a class of water with my drink and the water there is horrible. I'm sure it's the filtering but I hate that after taste from it. Our server did a great job. The staff was welcoming. I wish we had room to try dessert but didn't. I'd like to go back for brunch sometime. That menu looked great. Main course was 5 stars, service 5 stars, the drink, appetizer, water and not having an entree available was where it fell short for me.

Loaded potato skins

This location was surprisingly empty on a Friday night at 7:30 PM, but I was extremely happy to find it that way, as we grabbed a quick bite to eat. Plenty of TVs to check out March madness if that's your thing. The bar looks great and there were plenty of drink specials, though I didn't have a beverage outside of water. The service was a little slow, but the meal was reasonably well paced. I really enjoyed my food. Specifically, the load of potato skins are a must try with the perfect amount of toppings and really delicious. I also enjoyed the chop salad and was happy. They could replace the chicken with smoked turkey, which was very flavorful. Cornbread was a hit. I would actually buy a pan of that for an event. I would definitely return because there were a couple of appetizers that I wanted to give a shot. Decor was cool too, so a nice place for a casual bite.

Brisket sandwhich

Cowboy Sally's is relatively new to Liberty Center, you know I had to try it out. Me and my gf walked in on karaoke night accidentally. As funny and entertaining as it was, the restaurant is small, so we never really got a break from hearing it. Our server was nice, she was a little too attentive, give us some space! Haha. She also recommended the brisket sandwhich, which came out like dry woodchips. Not any flavor. The fries and the orange sauce were good. The craft list is very short, and they had third eye on tap, $14 bucks a beer lol Overall the atmosphere is kinda cool, but the inside layout is just not good, it's like they knew they would not get busy.

We had a fantastic time here. Our server, Paul, was phenomenal. He was very attentive and so much fun. All the food was delicious, except for the "tofu burnt ends". If I hadn't had them before, it would've been fine, but they were not the same as they were before and definitely not at all similar to burnt ends. The corn bread was the highlight for me. It was amazing. I also thoroughly enjoyed the nachos and potato skins. We got some fantastic drinks, my favorite being the espresso martini. We, of course, had a blast doing karaoke. I highly recommend!!!

Quiche

My quiche was very good, but my daughter was disappointed in the Holler Benedict. She thought it lacked flavor and the pulled pork was too fatty. It's a cute restaurant, but it was hot and muggy on the day we visited. I'm not sure if they have air conditioning, but they definitely weren't using it on this 90 degree day!

Bacon and Brussels
Connie H.

Stopped to get lunch at Cowboys Sally's on a whim. We ordered the pimento cheese dip which was very delicious and the chips were very light and crispy. It's reminded me of something but I couldn't put my finger on it. My mom loved the bacon and Brussels. It was very sweet. The decor of the place had a really fun vibe . The only thing I could say, I wish was better was the size of the drinks, very small glass which kept needing to be refilled. We definitely will return when we are in the area.

Brisket eggroll
Kathleen C.

My husband and I were really excited to try this restaurant after seeing the reviews and the menu. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Server was great. It is very loud in the restaurant and she did a great job of making sure my husband could hear her. She also gave us recommendations, when asked. We started with the brisket egg rolls, which were very good. Two large rolls with a lot of meat inside. For dinner, we ordered the burnt ends plate with brussel sprouts and the hatch chile casserole and the brisket with the mac and cheese and baked beans. Unfortunately, everything came out lukewarm. Burnt ends were slathered in bbq sauce. Some pieces were good but most were small, dry bits. Mac and cheese may have been good if it was warmer. Baked beans were very soupy and required a spoon to eat, which is not provided on the table. My husband then ordered the wings with the dry rub. Out came 6 very small wings (for $12) that were dry. Hopefully more time will help them get things figured out. The menu looks very good, just wasn't able to execute.

Food is good. Little bit on the pricey side for BBQ. But, don't have many other options in the area.

He supports other local businesses and gives them shoutouts whenever he goes to them and is just a genuinely nice guy. I'm not a rib expert and haven't had them in years so try them for yourself. I think on Friday's he runs a rib special. I haven't been able to try the brisket yet tho because they never have any left when I come so it must be good lol.

Prices are $10-15 for pub type food so not bad So this is your late night grub spot in my opinion. Its midnight. We got a couple versions of the soul rolls which are egg rolls with different items inside. We got the Philly cheesesteak roll, buffalo chicken, jerk chicken. Also tried burgers and chilli cheese fries. They really need to upgrade their to go containers. The prices are inflated when using Doordash so use it to upgrade your to go. They are using the cheap styrofoam containers and you have egg roll type items so guess what happens when you get them? You get soggy egg rolls. Especially the jerk and buffalo chicken. They put the jerk and buffalo sauce on the outside of the Roll so it's just a soggy mess that honestly I got tired of fooling with it. Should be able to pick up n eat an eggroll. The flavor and everything was okay but the point of getting an egg roll is to have that crunchy type taste right?. The burger was well done with no options to remove onions or other items you don't like. It had zero flavor to me. The best thing that I had was the chili cheese fries and I don't particularly like chili but it was after midnight so post bar food. I think if they upgrade their to-go containers the rolls could be a highlight but for right now I'm cool on ordering from them.
