two baskets of fried chicken and french fries
Daisy W.

During covid, I found out about this franchise and purchased takeout from their other location and they quickly became my favourite Korean fried chicken spot. I was so excited when I found out they're opening a location in the area! Now that we can dine in, I stopped by on a Friday evening for the dine in experience. Their location was very spacious and the tables were spaced apart making it comfortable and can enjoy our meal with peace of mind. Vaccination status was also checked prior to seating. We ordered the pepper chicken and cheesling chicken with a side of fries with their secret sauce. The fries came first and they're fresh cut and the pieces were massive. The chicken came shortly afterwards. They looked and smelled amazing! The chicken was so fresh, the skin so crispy, yet the meat inside is so juicy! When I ordered takeout from their other location and had to drive 20 minutes home before I can eat it, I was already quite happy with how good it was. But dine in experience is at least ten times better than that! Of the two flavours ordered, I loved the cheesling chicken best! Pepper chicken was delicious also, but I have a personal preference for cheese. I was so happy with the meal and the service. The staff was very attentive and came to check in on each table to make sure everything was good. Because it was during grand opening period, they had a 20% off promo also! I will definitely be back to try their other flavours!

The quality of the meat stood out right away--tender, well-marinated, and easy to cook at the table without overthinking it. The short rib and beef slices were probably my favorites, with a really nice balance of flavor and texture. I also appreciated the variety of side dishes. Nothing felt like filler--everything complemented the main dishes nicely, especially the rice and small appetizers that kept things interesting between rounds. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, and the service was attentive considering how busy it gets. It's definitely the kind of place you go with friends, take your time, and enjoy the whole experience. Would come back when I'm craving something fun and reliable.

The beef was my favorite -- thin, tender, and cooked just right. Pork belly wrapped in lettuce with sauce was tasty, and lamb was a little tricky to grill but still flavorful. Seafood isn't the best for grilling -- shrimp and squid didn't have much flavor, and salmon and clams were okay. Veggies were solid though -- zucchini and mushrooms were cooked just right, and the grilled pineapple was sweet and delicious. Edamame was fine, takoyaki mostly batter but cute and tasty. Desserts were adorable -- caramel pudding, coconut, and banana popsicles were fun to try. The vibe is cozy but lively, perfect for couples. Grilling together was actually really fun -- taking turns, sharing, and coordinating made it feel like a little team activity. Totally enjoyed the experience, and it's a really playful, interactive way to enjoy Japanese BBQ!

My favourite is the burnt ends, which has a sweet smoky taste to them. But other offerings are great too, from the really tender brisket, to the glistening pork belly, the creamy potato salad, and a peach cobbler that grandma would approve. If you're in the mood for a no-frills-all-thrills texas bbq, Beach Hill is then place to go.

Really disappointing experience…read more I placed a $200+ Uber Eats order for myself and guests on a Friday night, expecting a reliable dinner from a BBQ restaurant. Instead, I waited over an hour with no update. When I finally called the restaurant to check on the order, I was casually told that it had been cancelled because they ran out of food. The problem is that no one bothered to notify me. No message in the app, no call -- nothing. I was simply left waiting for over an hour for an order they apparently already knew they couldn't fulfill. What made it worse was the attitude on the phone. The person I spoke with was rude and dismissive, with no apology or attempt to make the situation right. Now I'm told the refund could take up to 10 business days to return to my credit card. Running out of food happens. Ignoring a $200+ order for over an hour on a Friday night and then being rude to the customer is unacceptable. Plenty of better BBQ options in the city -- I won't be ordering from here again.
