I needed a Britt bike mechanic to set my timing on my 72 Norton. I had been trying for 2 days, with no luck. My usual guy was out and not due back for 4 months. I Googled BBC and spoke with Tom. We dropped off the bike to him, and a week later called me to tell me it was done.
When I dropped it off, he mentioned it might need a new clutch pack, as the cable lever was very stiff. He also mentioned swapping to different coils, and a few other mods that would enhance the bikes performance and reliability. But when I picked the bike up, he told me that everything felt fine. The clutch, once he rode it, felt good, and the engine was strong, with good idling and easy start up.
Tom could have tried to sell me a bill of goods that I didnt need, but he did'nt, and was honest with me throughout the transaction. My Norton started with the first kick that night at the shop, and has ever since then.
My buddy also owns a Norton, and we were both satisfied with Tom's workmanship and honesty. read more
