So I called Jesse...and asked if the could inspect a 50cc 4-stroke off of a Kid Kart. He said that he could ...and to bring it by. I asked what the inspection would be ..and he said"It's $120...but pro-rated. So if we only need 20 minutes on it ...you'd only pay $40 bucks". I agreed ..and brought the motor in around 5pm on a tuesday. When I got there ...he asked a few questions, pulled the pull-start (it turned over ....no sticking), then proceeded to write me up. First infraction- he wrote me up at $150.00 !!! I said ..." I called ...and you said $120.00 but pro-rated". he then said "NAh ....it's $150.00...but it is pro-rated.." ... ... ... silence. I spoke first and said ..."okay..let me know when it's ready". I went home ...feelin' like I'd been suckered ...so I called the next morning. Me: have you looked at it? Jesse: in about.. Me: Don't touch it ...I'll pick it up after lunch Jesse: But I'm just about to get to it ... Me: Don't worry about it ... Jesse: alright ....whatever... I get to the shop around 1:20 ...and the owner is there. He says ...it's all ready :) ... ....$36 bucks! for not working on it? He says "we changed the oil, serviced the filter ...and ran a compression test on it. ????? I recount the earlier conversation ...tell him at least call it an overnight storage fee, because the customer told the mechanic "NOT" to touch it...and after 15 seconds of silence ..THIS DUDE GETS S#!++Y WITH ME AND SAYS .."DON"T WORRY ABOUT THE BILL!! I needed to do the 10,000 mile service and put new tires on my 2015 Harley CVO Road Glide. I stopped by and talked to Ryan and asked him for a quote and a description of the work he would do. I was satisfied with what Ryan had to say and brought my bike to CycleWorks the next week. Everything turned out great. Ryan was very communicative and the work was done quickly and for less $$ than the Harley dealer. Ryan also performs Extended warranty repairs so I think I will be taking my bike to Ryan in the future for any work that needs to be done. read more

About the only thing good I can say about this shop is it used to have a very likable manager and an incredible salesman who really was trying which is why I was supporting it before. However this shop has had my bike in and out for repairs more months than not it seemed over the course of a year and a half. I now have it at another shop where they have found multiple things wrong with the bike that should have been taken care of if the mechanics would have been paying attention in my opinion. I know of at least a dozen people that have had complaints and some that may be stuck for thousands of dollars in repairs to fix their mistakes including mine. I advise all to think twice before using them. read more

Best motorcycle repair store around LA, period. Got my bike there for a tire change, everybody was super friendly, patient & savvy! Got an appointment & ordered my new tire easily through the phone. Went there at 10am, left my bike, everybody was super cool again! Got a call at noon, saying that brake fluids needed to be changed and that minor adjustments could be done for a decent price. Well I'll go for it. 3rd call at 2pm: my bike is ready. I go there, still as friendly as this morning, what a pleasure to deal with these people. They show me the bike, email me the pictures they took during the servicing (yes you read well, they actually did that), show me how to tweak my bike on the go,... No rush, knowledge-sharing,... And these minor adjustments transfigured my bike! They did such a great job, my 1988 VTR250 feels brand new!!! I could argue about prices, a bit higher than in your common repair shop, but this is NOT your average one! Way better than other ones! From now on, I'll only have my bike services there! read more

Neat small garage -- not a big place where they sell and service bikes and hustle the service jobs through. These guys are enthusiasts and take the time and know their craft. This is a great shop for bike repair. I take all my dirt bikes there from my sons 50 to my 250. Last time I was there they did a throttle cable repair and carb clean and new grips. They even straightened my handle bars without me asking (no charge). The owner rides and you know that he is being straight with you from experience about what you need. Their prices are super reasonable - especially when compared to the dealer service shop down the road. I recommend these guys to everyone I know - you can't go wrong. read more

I wasn't going to post, but after the work I had to do to fix and the money i have spent to recover from the mess that this shop did. I find it necessary. Before I go into my story. I have huge respect for the Manager Mike always tried to help in my situation, but was unable to deliver. The caliber of work performed at this shop from it''s single mechanic could be described as sad. My bike sat for 7 months. With them telling me it was this and that. It went in originally for mechanical problem that I can agree was legit. They supposedly fixed it, 3 months later it went out again. The Manager admitted that they had not replaced a part so it cause major damage. So they replaced the part and while starting the bike claimed that there was further unrelated damage done to the valves and piston head. After agreeing for the repair I was hee hawed around for 6 months with excuse after excuse. I paid $ 500.00 up front for parts I didn't think were damaged by my negligence. (Proven fact by other mechanics) but I wanted my bike back so I went with it.. After the 7th month I became frustrated by the time after time promise my bike would be done. The final straw was when the mechanic told me my starter was bad and need to be replaced. Mind you I just bought the starter a few months prior and it wasn't a problem until now. I decided enough was enough and pulled my bike. Without a word of apology the mechanic pushed my bike out of the garage with parts in boxes and walked away. The topper was I was contacted and was told I didn't owe them anything and they would call it even. My bike is a damn Yamaha really!! After $ 1400.00 dollars of supposed repairs I find myself unable to ride my bike. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Came here with my motorcycle meetup group as several of us needed work done on our bikes. Mike and his son, Cory, are great. I didn't get to meet the other technician because he was so busy. This place bends over backwards to accommodte and they are genuinely nice people. I only had a couple of minor things done. However, members of my group seemed really happy with the work done. The shop is very clean, and I heard they just moved here. Prices are very reasonable. They are worth checking out, plus the ride out to Thousand Oaks is pretty nice on a gorgeous day. read more

CycleWorks is great, I took my 86 Honda Shadow 500 in for an oil change, and got some new turn signals put on while I was at it, then came back at a later date to get a fuel leak fixed and to get a valve adjustment as well. Fair price, excellent quality. They clearly adjusted things on the bike I didn't ask for as it idles and runs better than when I took it in. Plus it was cleaner. These guys obviously care about doing good work. Also should note that I asked them to convert spoked wheels to tubeless, which requires time and attention to detail. They nailed it. read more

There they found problems that the other shop had missed that would have compromised my safety on the road. Mike was really flexible and helped me with scheduling and even gave me a ride back home. The work was done efficiently and quick. And the cost was very reasonable. They are all really nice people who care about the rider as well as the bike. As a female rider I am suspect of most people when they recommend any changes to my HD. Often times those making the recommendation don't really have my best interest in mind, just their own bottom line. My previous and current experience at Cycleworks has inspired me to continue to share my positive feed back about this shop and their staff. Answers to my questions with explanations I understand and reasonable fees for services performed. Courtesy and respect go a long way. I recently had to re fill my wallet with their business cards as I had given out my last one on Christmas day. Keep up the good work everyone. While reading the previous reviews below it came to mind that some people just don't take responsibility for their own actions. Seriously, how could anyone leave their bike in a shop for 7 months. There must be more to the big picture as to why. Not clarifying why is just another way of not taking responsibility for your own actions or lack thereof. Before pointing a finger at someone else, take responsibility for your participation or lack of participation in the situation. You bring your bike to a shop for maintenance and repair just as you go to a doctor for your health and repair. Why would you ever let your bike sit at a shop without doing whatever you can to get it back timely. You wouldn't leave your body in a hospital without doing whatever you can to get it fixed and out of there. So to those of you who are bitching about how long your bike sat in the shop, it's time for you to own your own shit. If you can't afford to have work done timely, don't blame the shop for the amount of time your bike sat. read more
