Had 2 Kawasaki jet skis serviced here and when I got to lake havasu they both would crank, but wouldnt start. It seems like they were fuel starved and I suspected the mechanic had somehow shut off fuel supply during services and didn't restart. I called Chris at Simi service,, he took the time to help. looked up error codes, then spoke to mechanic. Turns out I was using wrong key fob on ea ski, had no idea they the wrong fob would crank the ski, but not start. I appreciate the time this shop gave me, they could have easily just said "bring them in." but Chris was patient and made a real effort to help in a situation where I was clearly frustrated. read more

Don't buy a used bike there. You will end up putting thousands of dollars in repair. I was dumb. I road it home with no brakes and back to get it fixed. They didn't fix them right. Turns out the bike needed two new tires and bearings. I thought it was due to the fact it was a big bike with wide bars. Nope. Once it was fixed at a shop I trust it turned out to handle really. And than it wouldn't start. Turned out it needed a new battery and a new solenoid and now the speedo stopped working and now the reserve gas light stays on. I bought what should have been 1,600 dollar motorcycle for almost 4,000 dollars. Ripped off. This was a gift to celebrate three years of being cancer free. I hope bad karma gets them. Worst motorcycle shop in the area. I have bought many a used bike and none have needed as much work as this. They just put band-aids on so they can sell it. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I've been interested in a motorcycle that has been on the sales floor for a while. I called and spoke with Thomas about the Motorcycle and agreed to set up a test ride for the following day, I showed up the following day on time with proof of Motorcycle insurance for my other two bikes my Gear signed all the paperwork and release forms and then was told no test ride until we agree on a price. I was fully prepared to purchase the bike and take it home. If it was what I was looking for but without a test ride there is no way of knowing. I don't know what's going on with this dealership but it isn't what it used to be. I've been riding motorcycles for 45 years and lived in the same area and I'm sad to say I won't be going back to this store ever again. What a huge disappointment the store has become. read more

Last month, I celebrated 40 years riding street motorcycles. I've bought a lot of bikes, sold a lot of bikes, and became familiar with a lot of shops and the motorcycle community. Great service department, my motorcycle is always finished quick and prices are wonderful for the quality they provide. Great parts department, prices are competitive. For example bought oil, filter, and drain plug crush washer for $15~ cheaper than what Partzilla would've charged. Lastly, sales department is very friendly. Bought a high mileage fz09 from here and it's had no issues at all for me as I close in on 5k miles since the purchase. Visited twice on two separate occassions. 1st visit. It was a comfortable visit. Not your typical sales floor where sales people will immediately go to you the moment you step inside the showroom. Not your typical sales floor where you'll get bombarded with multiple sales people. It's quite a great experience. I just don't understand why some reviews complaints; make up your mind shoppers! I have done sales as a job in the past. You complain that sales people "eats you alive" (sales pressure) the moment you step into a showroom. But will also complain when sales gives you the freedom to window shop and look around without the pressure of buying something. Shoppers should stop being entitled on places like vehicle sales floor. Be realistic. I don't have a Yelper badge anymore since I did not "renew" it for 2022. I made an inquiry for a quote online for an MT07 and Simi Cycles never contacted me. I called and spoke with Nick to come take a look at it. When I arrived, nobody greeted or talked to me. Nick was sitting in the corner making phone calls to customers whose bikes have arrive. He was busy working in that regard, so I can give him some slack. However, a simple "Hey, welcome in! I just need to finish a few phone calls and I'll be right with you" would have been courteous. Two Caucasian gentlemen before me were talked to and helped immediately. Maybe if I was Caucasian, I would have been helped faster? Since nobody responded to my inquiry, I came and left with cash in hand. It probably would have been the easiest sale all year for them. Bought a 2023 Yamaha MT09 in September 2023. Paid the bike off in full 3 days after purchase. It's now mid January 2024 and I have not received a title. I went to the DMV website to request a duplicate title and was told that there is a lienholder on the motorcycle and I can't get a duplicate. After contacting Yamaha directly, they informed me that Simi Valley Cycles never filed the paperwork. I now have no title, and no proof of ownership despite paying for the bike in full 4 months ago. Rick (who, unfortunately, has left the business for work much closer to his home) was great, letting me test ride the RS and getting the trade-in set up. Yesterday, I was on a mission to buy a motorcycle. I routed nine different dealers to go to before making my decision. I had my heart set on a Triumph, therefore I had to stop by Simi Valley Cycles. Upon entering, I saw some beautiful bikes. There were three men working: two sitting at their desks in the middle of the room and one at the side. For more than ten minutes, none of them even acknowledged me. It wasn't until I popped my head in the accessories section and a nice lady asked me if I needed help and I responded, "well, I have to get the bike first," that the youngest of the three men asked if I needed help. This lack of customer care caused me to leave. I ended up dropping $17,000 at a different dealer three hours later. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have one of my bikes serviced. I dropped it off in the morning expecting to hear from the service department in the afternoon. Heard nothing, no big deal. After not hearing from them for 3 days, I called and they told me they should have it done by that afternoon. Another 3 days went by and I had heard anything. Called again and they said they should have word on the bike in the afternoon. I drove down that day and they had still not even gotten to the bike. I picked it up and took it else where for service. Very disappointed they did not keep me in the "loop" by a phone call. I just expected if they gave me a specific day to bring it in then that was when they would have time to service it or at least start the service. If other unexpected things come up, which I understand, they could have at least given me a call. Disappointed. In their defense, I had another bike serviced there and there was no problem.
