This place is a definite must go! The wings here are by far the best Korean wings I've ever had, the crunchiness and how juicy they are is mind blowing. The service can be a little slow, but the wait will be worth it. It's a small location so on a busy day you might have to wait a little. Will definitely be going back soon.

The food was just great. It was pipping hot and delicious with some beer. Great crispy chicken! I will definitely come back. The place is clean, with kpop music playing in the background. The servers are nice and attentive. The food took a little while but it was worth the wait.

While I scheme about returning here, I'll write about it and make myself hungry all over again. This location may have some tough competition from the outside considering it's in a plaza with Pho Bar and Taco Love and looks much more casual than its neighbors, but it's so worth a stop. There is a counter to order takeout as soon as you walk in, but you can get table service as well, which I recommend you do. The crispiness of the chicken just won't hold up if you take it to go! Unless you get it without sauce or sauce on the side. But seriously, you should just sit your bottom down in the place and eat there. They have beer. Like Sapporo and Asahi, not your sad carbonated hop water. We walked in on an evening when the tables weren't very filled, so we were seated right away and given great service. (They were nice about us moving tables because the setting sun was right in our faces.) Water came out right away, our orders were taken soon after we were ready, and we got boxes to take some of the food home (because it was a lot of food). We got the half and half boneless wings with Spicy Galbi and Hot Spicy sauces. Both were awesome: the Spicy Galbi has that sweet-savory flavor we love from Korean barbecue but with a kick, and the hot spicy was that addictive spicy that you should go easy on but can't stop eating. We also got the onion rings, and I tell you, do not sleep on the onion rings. They are some of the best that I've found in a restaurant, and I'm that kid who will order onion rings wherever I can find them. They were huge, flavorful, crispy without the breading falling apart or off of the onions when you bite in. Dang I want some now haha. I saw some signs for daily weekday promotions on the storefront, so it's worth stopping by any random day of the week! Better yet if you can go during the day, they seem to have lunch specials. You can find me back there soon!

Wow!!!! Better than Choongman ever was and as good if not better than The Namu. We started with fried chicken gyoza. Also order fries. Then the wife had 8 wings Hot Spicy. This had 4 flames on the menu. She loved it. But you must understand she eats ghost, scorpion & reaper peppers. I had 8 wings Galbi but not the spicy Galbi. I loved them. We also had an extra side of pickled Daikon. The service was awesome. The food was just great. They have lots of sauce choices. I'll be trying more. So I suggest if you love KFC, then you get here ASAP!!!

This new Korean fried chicken eatery is located in a multi-use facility on Griffin Road in Davie. There are other popular restaurants in the same complex (Pho Bar Vietnamese Kitchen is one of them.) So, parking is available but it can be difficult. When we went at lunchtime on a weekday, we had to park a building away and walk over. The restaurant is clean and attractive with a modest dining room. We went to order takeout and faced many rules as to whether or not we could combine flavors in the chicken order. We wanted a half chicken with two flavors. We could only chose from the first three on the list for that order. You can only get two styles of your choice when you order either a whole chicken or wings. So, we decided to go for the 16-piece wings with the golden original recipe and the galby. The golden original had a one star spicy level rating, and we thought that should have a bit of a kick. We've learned the hard way that to get four stars in a Korean fried Chicken place could actually set your mouth on fire (and this is coming from people who love spicy food that brings tears to their eyes). We combined that with the galbi, because we love that sauce on Korean ribs. After ordering and paying, we were told it would take 20 minutes because the chicken is always made fresh. (It would have been nice to know that before we paid.) The server offered us seats at a table for our wait and asked if we needed anything. We requested some water. When our food was ready, I noticed that we had three small containers of pickled radish. We were told that two came with the order, and I ordered two extra. Turns out only one came with the order. The young lady had made a mistake. I expressed my disappointment at the misinformation, and said I didn't want to pull out my credit card again (didn't have any cash on me) to pay for $0.99. As we headed for the door, we were handed a complimentary fourth container of pickled radish. That gesture added to the already good service we received while waiting for our food to be cooked. Now, time to rate the chicken. The golden original recipe was nicely coated but the chicken lacked flavor and there was no spiciness, as we had expected with a one-star level. The chicken wings made with the galby sauce were delicious. The wings had no breading but were fried leaving the skin nice and crispy with the sauce soaked in. We really liked that combination. It was definitely not spicy but a very flavorful, sweet choice. The radishes, my favorites, were a nice refreshing side dish with the wings. One of the annoying things was that when they ring up your order, the screen asks for a tip. And I am from the school that if I'm not dining in and getting service, I should not have to pay a tip. Anyway, it was $31.95 for 16 chicken wings, two side orders of radishes, and tax. Korean fried chicken is not cheap. But we love it! And despite a few misses, we thought that overall the chicken was a hit and we definitely plan to return (and next time try some 2- or 3- star, spicy-level flavors). P.S. Although Yelp does not give 1/2-star ratings, I think a 3.5 star rating is more adequate for this visit and review.

    Gangjeong Wings

I had heard all the hype about this South Korean chain and I was super excited that it made its way to south Florida. Came with my friend and we decided to share the gangjeong wings and the rose ddeok-bokki (with cheese add-on) I had high expectations for the wings, so maybe that's why I thought it was good but not the best. The exterior was way more crunchy than what I expected or was used to. But if super crunchy is your thing, I think you'll like it more. Never had gangjeong flavor before but the cinnamon made it interesting. I'd be interested in trying the other flavors. What really stood out to me and my friend was the rose ddeok-bokki (to the point we were craving it and got it a second time). It was the perfect savory creamy, with the right amount of sweetness. If you're a fan of cheese, I personally think the cheese add on was worth it. I even took it back for leftovers and it still tasted great after reheating it. Definitely recommend getting this dish! Seating was comfortable, service was friendly. Parking can be a little tight in that it's on a one way street, but free and available. Overall great new addition to the Broward area! Definitely will come back again!

Choongman's closure drove me here and albeit the Korean fried chicken experience is generally pricey , I admit it was a worthy treat. Super fresh, cooked to order wings, large portions (small is 8 pieces). I indulged in the spicy Galbi and cheese fries with 2 orders of radishes. Ran me about $27. They are well packaged for travel to keep things warm. The wings were crispy when I got home, generously doused in the sticky sweet and slightly spicy sauce. I loved the cheese fries, the powdered cheese is fun and flavorful. They put a sweet sauce on my fries which kinda threw me off but ended up being ok. The radishes had a mildly funny aftertaste like tap water. Service was swift and sufficient, considering I took it to go. Interior is open and clean. They have a few intriguing specials during the week. I will certainly return for my next chicken treat!

This was some good fried chicken. Walking in we were greeted right away. We took some time to look at the menu and then we ordered half-and-half wings. The flavors we chose were honey garlic wings, and spicy galbi wings. We also ordered chicken fried rice and told them to scramble the egg. The rice was OK. I'm not sure if I would necessarily order it again. It's very different from your Chinese rice. I felt like it was more of a sticky type of rice, but the wings were definitely the show stopper. I personally prefer the honey garlic wings, but I think it just comes down to your taste of bud preference. It took maybe 20 minutes for our food to be ready and we were taking it to go. It wasn't an issue but just know if you are in a rush. You definitely wanna call ahead of time. While we were waiting on the food we sat down inside and observed all of the graphics on the wall and the specials that they have on drinks on during the week. You won't find hard liquor here, but your beer and seltzer is pretty much what's on the menu. Overall great wings. I would definitely try it again. It is a bit pricier than your usual wings spot so I probably wouldn't go here often but if I wanted to treat myself, I would stop here.

Ok but their lunch specials are worth it! The soy garlic chicken rice bowl for lunch is sooo good! I'm drooling just thinking about it. It's $13, get the Mayo on top too! They load this up! You'll def have leftovers. My favorite has to be the rice bowl!! Jon & Lydia are so sweet! They run the place and everything runs smoothly. Staff is great as well.

Honey garlic chicken is good however it is a little too breaded. The breading is a little heavy. The fried rice was great

They have indoor and outdoor dining. The service was great. The chicken was AMAZING. We tried the cheesling, soy garlic, honey garlic, mala, spicy original. We also had rose tteokbokki with cheese, kimchi fried rice with cheese and cheeseling fries. Everything was incredily delicious and flavorful. Only complaint was that they were out of a bunch of flavors including original. The sizes come in small, medium large in an increment of 8 wings. So small has 8, medium has 16 and large has 24. You can get 2 flavors if you order 16 but if you order 24 you can only get 1 flavor.

Great Korean wing place, nice variety of wing styles to choose from, and yes boneless is available if you prefer that The people were friendly, food was relatively fast (maybe 15-20 minutes for wings themselves, everything else a little faster), atmosphere relaxed like a casual dining place . Will definitely go again

I've been waiting forever for a bb.q Korean Fried Chicken to open near me. It was the very first fried chicken I ever tried during my trip to Korea, and I've missed that unforgettable flavor ever since. When they opened a franchise in Georgia, I was thrilled because my family lives there -- but I kept wishing they'd open one closer to home in Miami. So when I googled Korean fried chicken and saw they finally opened a location in Miami, I could not contain my excitement -- and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The Rose Tteokbokki, the Gangnam wings, the soy garlic chicken... everything was absolutely delicious. The crunch on the chicken is unreal -- exactly how I remember it in Korea. Eating it brought back all the nostalgia of my trip and the first time I ever tasted real Korean fried chicken. I can't wait to come back. Highly, highly recommend this franchise!

The Spread: We ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, spare ribs, and baby back ribs -- yes, all four -- on one tray lined with butcher paper. It looked like a BBQ fever dream and tasted even better than it looked. The Meats: The brisket was the standout for me. Smoked over real wood for 12+ hours, hand-carved, pink smoke ring, tender all the way through. The baby back ribs were glazed and meaty with deep smoky flavor, and the spare ribs were thick, juicy, and packed with bold bark. The smoked chicken rounded it all out -- moist, flavorful, never dry. The Sides: Rice and peas with coconut milk -- fragrant and perfectly cooked. The 4-cheese mac was outrageously creamy (I kept going back for more). The sweet and tangy coleslaw was the perfect palate cleanser between bites of rich, smoky meat. The Extras: The 4-pack of sliders was a great add -- soft buns, well-seasoned patties, could easily make a meal on their own. The fries were golden and crispy. And the watermelon lemonade Kool-Aid with berries at the bottom? Refreshing, unique, and the perfect closer to an incredible meal. The Space: Big news for fans of Bare Bones -- they've just opened a brand new storefront next door with about a dozen additional tables and plenty of seating for the whole family. No more eating in your car or rushing home with takeout. You can now sit back, relax, and enjoy that tray of smoked goodness the way it was meant to be experienced. She said it's "Shorty's sauce" so I asked if it's GF and she said she didn't know, so I asked if she can please find out. She came back and said there's no marinade so I went ahead and ordered the chicken. I asked her if she could tell me if any of the table sauces were GF and again "I don't know". I asked if she can please ask someone who would know and no rush. She said she would get someone to come talk to me. Several minutes passed, she brings my food and I ask again about the sauce and she seems bothered and said they are way too busy and probably no one will be able to come talk to me. I wait some more time, and when the next round of meals comes out, we ask again and she reiterated that it's too busy and no manager or chef was able to give her a simple answer about if the BBQ sauce is gluten free. All she said was she knows the bbq is "sugar free or something". So after waiting, I just decided to eat and the chicken was BONE DRY. It felt like sacrilege the way they cooked that chicken until it was nearly powdered. Fast forward and meal ends and the server noticed I didn't eat much and asked why, I said the chicken is dry and she said "oh yeah it's always dry and you couldn't have sauce". ... Anyway, we will not be back. I'm also not convinced that she even brought up the question to manager. Located off Stirling Road (accessible from both directions), Hong's BBQ sits amongst the various shops that make up the Stirling Place Plaza. If you're here based off your search for food around the Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Hollywood, you've got the same idea as us and this review is for you; Hong's is essentially "around the corner" from the casino and a great option if you want to venture off the resort for some great food. Recommended by a source for reliable eats, we decided to give Hong's BBQ a go before our trip back to Tampa. We found that Hong's BBQ has some great authentic Canto-style Chinese cuisine. Not big by any means (you can't necessarily host a large banquet style gathering here), there is definitely ample seating - mainly suited for parties of 4. We came around 1pm on a Sunday and had no issues being seated - although the restaurant maintained a steady flow of customers in and out of the restaurant. There are a few larger round tables scatter throughout with the typical lazy-susan setup in the center that may accommodate larger parties of 6-8. If you're not interested in dining-in, there is definitely a "butcher's" station/display that is set up toward the back of the dining section. The setup within the restaurant definitely brought back nostalgic memories of Chinatown restaurants and their racks of char-siu, roast duck, pig, and soy chicken hanging under the heating lamps. From here, you can order cuts of the aforementioned meats by weight without the "extras." The menu offered a great variety of Canto-style cuisine; I would argue that it's hard to go wrong with a choice based on their selections they have available. We ordered two noodle soups (roast duck and char siu), along with an order of the beef chow fun, which were all outstanding. Beginning with the noodle soups, you have 3 different noodle options; I opted for the flat rice noodles which I instantly craved upon identifying it as a choice. The noodles were cooked to al-dente perfection that had a good amount of "bounce" while easy to chew. The broth was also on a whole other level that warrants praise in itself. The beef chow fun is also a must - yes, I recognize that this may be considered a "basic" choice, but Hong's BBQ makes this the right way. The service wasn't poor - let's just say that it falls in line with the coveted 3-star Asian restaurant rating (If you know, you know). The servers knew how and when to deliver. All in all, Hong's BBQ is a great place to dine with your family. I would recommend this to anyone in or travelling to this area.

Heard about this place and wanted to try it's BBQ and roasted meats…read more We stopped by on a Thursday evening around 5. The eatery seats about 40 and is clean and simply decorated. It was empty. But it slowly got more diners, with about 5 tables filled before we left. Service was fine but the waitress who took our order barely spoke English and it was difficult getting answers about items on the menu. Nevertheless, we ordered pan-fried dumplings, the three meat combo plate with roast duck, BBQ roast pork, and crispy pork. We also got a seafood platter with salt and pepper shrimp, squid, and scallops. The latter didn't have much taste. We couldn't even taste any salt and pepper. The dish came on a bed of shredded raw cabbage. There was no rice. When I asked, the server (a different one from the woman who took our order) brought us a small bowl. They had forgotten to put the rice on the plate. (The dish is advertised as being served on a bed of rice.) The meat platter was decent. Although the duck skin needed to be crispier, the pork skin was very crispy. The BBQ roast pork was tasty, boasting a nice char siu flavor. The few strands of Chinese broccoli that was served with the dish was cold, as if it was added from the refrigerator. We enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. They seemed to be homemade. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was $66.
