We all know the Houston weather, it doesn't get any cooler. Although, at the patio, you can see curious chickens roaming around your tables, which is cute and entertaining. We sat in a hot day of July, in the patio. I drank enough melted iced water for the whole week. Service was super caring. Many check-ins, many reassurances that she didn't forget our orders. My friend and I were having the best time in catching up. Food was lean. Smoothies tasted so good. My friend loves their coffee there. I wish I had the energy to visit the surroundings of the restaurant. But given how hot it was, I had to leave this for another day. Parking isn't the easiest but keep in mind this is a popular spot! Something about the cafe is just so safe/calming with a homey feeling, helping me stay focused. I do recommend bringing headphones though as the crowd varies from quiet readers/ studiers to loud people on the phone or on work meetings from their computer (which can be distracting) but it's a public space so to be expected. Just be prepared if you get distracted easy! :). FOOD: The blueberry muffin is delicious, having it warmed makes it even better- it's sweet but IMO not the type to make your teeth hurt sweet. The matcha lavender honey latte is delicious, it is very very sweet as the matcha and lavender flavor come pre sweetened. I've had the regular hot matcha latte and that is still very sweet but not as strong with the lavender sweetener as I ordered. Overall it's a 10/10 for me.
