Conveniently located just across from the beautiful Keyport waterfront, it's easy to grab your favorite frozen treat and take a stroll or relax on one of the nearby benches while enjoying the scenic views of the bay. The menu has something for everyone. They offer a huge selection of homemade ice cream, Italian ice, soft serve, sundaes, milkshakes, banana splits, and plenty of toppings to customize your dessert. Whether you're craving a classic favorite or something a little more over the top, you'll have no trouble finding it here. I ordered the Old Fashioned Sundae with two scoops of soft serve, chocolate syrup, crushed nuts, and a cherry on top. It was simple, nostalgic, and absolutely delicious. I also liked that you can choose between hard ice cream and soft serve, depending on what you're in the mood for. The shop has two large serving windows, which helps keep the line moving, even when it's busy. The staff was wonderful--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. If you're visiting Keyport or spending the day by the waterfront, Uncle Louie G is definitely worth a stop. Great desserts, excellent service, and one of the best spots in town to enjoy a sweet treat with a beautiful view.

My go to flavors are Banana Boat and the Gut Health Pineapple Mango- I'm not much one for ginger in my smoothies, so I omit those right off, I am sure they are good, most of the smoothies on the menu are, just not my thing. The activator recovery pineapple is really good, I pretty much love smoothies with any of my three favorite fruits, pineapple, mango and banana, so I have not had one I didn't like.

I've been thinking about trying this restaurant for a while. I finally got an opportunity to stop…read moreby and try one of their wraps and a smoothie. The smoothie was very good, they also give you chips with your meal. The place is very small so if you have a large group this isn't your place unless you're taking it to go. Which is their only serving option, they do not offer an eat in option, even if you are eating there, they serve it in a to go container. The food was average with the wrap being on the smaller side and lacking in taste. Maybe it was me, but the buffalo wrap had no kick to it. They also only offer ranch, but no blue cheese. Overall I give this place an average rating. If you try this place you'll be ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

There we had Tropical and got to know the staff really well. This place has become a second home for lunch when we rented in Manalapan and having moved to Monroe TWP, it's a little further but we still try to visit it often, The Manager Vijay and Maria the Asst Manager are awesome. Maria has been taking care of us for so long that she knows the ingredients, offers us the best value from my points vs coupons offered and takes care of us (even distributing goodies on our special holidays). Vijay prepares really tasty food, spoils us by bringing it to our table, and now our grandson loves to eat there. Ove the many months, we have seen so many part time employees who come and go and the patience that Maria has training is amazing. The food is tasty and smoothies customized to exactly how we like them. My apologies to Vijay and Maria for taking so long to acknowledge what a special place this has become for us and we are already think of our next trip.

The Sesame Crunch Salad was abundant and had that perfect combination of fresh, crunchy, and satisfying. Very tangy dressing. The Mediterranean Bowl was one of my favorites. It was fresh, filling, and had all those classic Mediterranean flavors coming together in one bowl. Yup, even vegan tzatziki and feta. The Meatball Parm Sub had this hearty, saucy, cheesy combination you want from a meatball parm, and really mimicked the texture and flavor of a real meatball well. The Cheezsteak was another one that really surprised me. It had that classic cheesesteak feel without the meat, although this wasn't a personal favorite of mine. And if you're a pesto lover, the Chick'n Parm Pesto is one you have to try. It was crispy, cheesy, saucy, and packed with pesto flavor. My favorite of the sandwiches! And great ciabatta bread. The Acai Bowl was the perfect refreshing way to finish everything. Very fresh fruit. The place is clean, well maintained, and has regular tables and bar seating. The staff member was helpful in helping us pick some popular options which was nice coming from another fellow omnivore. So if you're vegan, vegetarian, or just someone who loves good food, I'd say this is worth checking out!

We stopped by the Playa Bowls location thanks to a Yelp New Jersey Elite Squad New Jersey event and got to try a complimentary bowl. Outside, leashed and friendly dogs are welcome at the picnic tables, making it a great stop for you and your pup.
