A surprise find in Central Jersey! Tucked between Asian Market supermarket and a Chinese takeout spot, with two more Chinese restaurants within half a mile. It's the perfect stop after a satisfying meal. The ambience is bright, spacious, and clean. Prices are very reasonable, with most drinks coming in under $6.50. I needed a quick boost to stay awake after a big lunch and ahead of a three-hour drive home, so I ordered the Coffee Bombón (espresso + condensed milk). It delivered exactly what I needed: pure caffeine and sugar! I will definitely stop by and try another drink next time I am in town. read more

I used to love this place but hadn't visited in a while. With so many boba places and so little time, it took me a bit to return. Recently, we came back and ordered Pineapple Tea with Fresh Pulp and Red Bean Pudding Milk Tea. The Pineapple Tea with Fresh Pulp was ordered at 0% sugar because the staff said it was sweet enough on its own. Trust me, it's not. You should order it with at least 30% sugar. The ice level was quite high, so ask for less ice; otherwise, you'll finish the drink too quickly. These are my personal preferences, which is why I didn't love it. Now, for my main concern: the pudding in the Red Bean Pudding Milk Tea wasn't the right color. It wasn't consistently vibrant yellow; some parts had a brown or grayish hue. However, the red beans were perfectly cooked--soft but not squishy, and not hard like I've had at other places. After we ordered and sat down, the manager left, and one of the employees hopped onto the counter where they serve the tea and sat there. For health and sanitary reasons, this is a code violation and quite disgusting. Rating: 2.5/5 stars, rounded up to 3. read more

Mr. Wish is probably the best boba spot around and is a must try! It has decent amount of options if you are not craving boba. The tapioca is served hot and is made daily as I suppose. Everything I have tried is very unique and tropical. The workers are very nice and the atmosphere is calm and quiet which is great for studying! Overall this place is a 10/10 for me. read more

Mr Wish - Bubble Tea Near Me - Marlboro, New Jersey

I've been coming to Mr Wish in Marlboro at least once a week, spending around $20 each visit. I always order the same three drinks, and up until now, it's been a reliable spot. However, after my most recent experience, I won't be returning. On this visit, two of the drinks had extra sugar even though I clearly ordered them with no additional sugar. Mistakes happen--no big deal. I was planning to swing back and get them remade. But when I called to explain the issue, the person on the phone immediately got defensive and rude, insisting I asked for extra sugar. He said he'd check the cameras, then slammed the phone on me. Now frustrated, I drove back right away. He claimed the footage showed me asking for extra sugar, but conveniently refused to show me the clip. I highly doubt he even reviewed anything, considering I was back within 5 minutes. Rather than resolving the issue or even listening, he continued to argue and give me attitude--even though I've been a loyal customer who orders the same thing every time. Had I made a mistake, I would've owned up to it and apologized. But the way this situation was handled--with arrogance and zero accountability--was unacceptable. Unfortunately, they've lost a regular customer. It's a shame how poor customer service can ruin an otherwise decent place. read more

Drinks are good but the staff is stand offish as most the time they are teenagers chatting with each other or their friends visiting. A lot of their fruit teas are super sour which I do love a good sour punch. Drinks are well made and they aren't skimpy on toppings or ingredients. Seating is available and well managed (it's clean). read more

I loveeee Mr Wish. My favs are the Taro Milk Tea & the Passionfruit Fiber Jelly Tea! It's such a cute little tea shop with lots of options and it's always super clean! The service is consistent - quick and pleasant! Knocking off one star bc it's so expensive but a lovely treat read more

This is my first time trying this place, and I highly DO NOT recommend it. I've ordered 4 different bubble teas and all of it DID NOT meet expectation. My orders were bland, and he didn't even put enough Sagos/ bubbles. I'm not quite sure if it's deliberate because the staff was extremely rude, he acted like he was rudely interrupted from his napping. Obviously, he didn't care about his job. He could have easily charge me for Large ones but since he didn't ask what size I wanted; therefore, he just assumed to charge me for Medium which he actually did me a favor because I couldn't even finish the medium because it was that BAD. The sagos were chewy old, and mango drink tasted like mango canned juice filled with water and lychee at the bottom. Which I could have easily make myself at home and save myself from getting aggravated with that staff's attitude. So when I called him out for his LYING because my drink actually comes in Large size too but he told me all my order only comes in medium sizes. Perhaps, he was still half asleep. I hope the owner of this franchise reconsider giving this staff guy a lesson 101 on improving his customer service skill, or provide him a rundown AGAIN of the menu because black tiger milk also comes in Large. He doesn't seem that he can tolerate his job so why keep someone like that who will cost losing customer. So whoever is reading my review, I suggest not to support this establishment because the drinks are not special. It doesn't taste fresh as the website claims. Who knows that staff guy could have been the owner that's why he acted like the way he did just because he CAN so hopefully who ever is reading this let's not support bad behavior. Save your money and go somewhere else where your business is appreciated. read more

FINALLY open. I've been waiting for a closer boba place to open. Super sanitary, I even saw the employee sanitizing his hands before doing anything and service was quick. We got a pearl milk tea and a black milk tea with sago. My first time trying sago in place of boba and I don't hate it! The spheres are a little small so not much chewing involved and more inhaling. Definitely coming again. read more

Mr Wish - Pearl Milk Tea and Black Milk Tea with sago - Bubble Tea Near Me - Marlboro, New Jersey

(PROS) Finally a boba tea shop that's within the area. Don't have to drive 30 mins to Edison for boba. -Fruit teas are refreshing -some toppings other stores don't have (sago) -nice aesthetics inside, with plenty of seating (CONS) -some drinks can't have toppings substituted or modified. I was told I couldn't add sago to black tiger milk, but it was okay with pearl milk tea, which is essentially the same drink minus the black sugar. Don't know how they decide which drinks on what criteria. Annoying if you want a certain drink but don't want a specific topping in it -they don't give a lot of toppings like boba depending on who makes your drink -no rewards card/program -some of my drinks didn't have enough sugar and this was at regular sugar level (CONCLUSION) -a decent spot for your boba fix with It's biggest pro being location since not many if any boba shops around the Marlboro area. read more

I had very little faith in this bubble tea stores as I have never heard of the franchise Mr Wish before. I genuinely was so surprised and so glad to have a delicious bubble tea store right around my are. clean location with nice decor! I got the oolong milk tea with 60% sugar and boba. i was impressed by how soft the boba was! be aware there are some drinks with "tea" at the end, but I overheard the worker telling a customer that the drink did not actually have any tea in is. If you are getting a fruity drink as opposed to a milk tea it would be good to clarify this! this is not my favorite bubble tea place but it definitely satisfied my craving. it's also close to a dim sum (crown palace) and an asian supermarket! read more

Definitely a great addition to the Marlboro area now I don't have to go all the way to Edison for boba! The store was really clean and super aesthetically pleasing I got the lychee sunrise with 30% sweetness and was such a refreshing drink for the summer! It's on the lighter side so if you are not in the mood for boba and want fruity drink I would recommend! read more

This review is about the menu choices. The website talks about being a healthier choice and I was hopeful they had vegan milk alternatives. I called them and no one answered the phone. It was only 8 minutes away from where I was so I decided to make the trip and see. They were open but busy so I guess that is why no one answered the phone. They had no vegan milks. I was hoping a place with healthier choices would at least have soy milk available. The place looked clean and nice but for vegan people who wanted milk tea and not fruit tea, it is not an option. The fruit tea is vegan but the milk tea is my favorite and I have had this many times in NYC with a vegan milk alternative. Please consider adding this as an alternative. Thank you! read more

My go to spot for bubble tea. Variety of flavors - my favorites are the Oolong milk tea (60% sugar) and the Red Bean Sago Coconut Milk (has whole red beans inside). Everyone who works here is really helpful if you have any questions about the menu. Always super quick service. read more

Finally a proper boba place in the neighborhood! Welcome welcome welcome you magnificent bastards!!! It takes a little while for them to get your order out, but it's worth the wait, I promise! My favorite bubble tea place around. Every time I go to the Asian food store next door I stop and get a bubble tea for me and the kids to share. We'll get a fruit tea and a milk tea and usually try to get it less sweet than they would make it. Everything is good there. Warning, their taro, which they do tell you up front, is not the typical artificial tasting one but it's more original to how rare tastes, they include the starchy pieces of taro and it almost feels gritty and lumpy. That wasn't what I expected and I got it for my husband and he was not a fan. The fruit teas taste so fresh and have fresh fruit. Overall good and a nice place to get a treat after shopping read more

Super excited to have another boba tea shop in the area! Went for their grand opening promo (first 50 get a boba keychain). It's my first time trying Mr. Wish's boba and is as comparable to other boba chains. It also seems to be a tad cheaper than other chains too which is an added plus. read more

Like all the other reviews before me said.. finally a spot closer than traveling out to Edison! I ordered an oolong milk tea, no ice, 30% sugar with boba. The tea flavor is ESPECIALLY strong in this drink!! I highly recommend this one. My only regret is ordering a medium instead of a large size. I also tried the mango smoothie.. the fresh mango flavor is very apparent in the drink. They unfortunately only have one size for this drink, which is a medium. Wish it was a large size! The entire counter was lined with boxes of fresh mango so you can see how fresh their ingredients are! Will definitely be back soon. Purple rice drinks are one of my faves. I'm glad to see they also offer this here too! read more

Had a terrible experience today at Mr. Wish, their customer service is terrible. Very rude both kid at counter and manager. I was the only customer in the shop, seated at a table with my 9 year old son. My son ordered the his drink and came to the table. Only people in the shop. Talking with him for about 30 seconds, the rude worker yells out that we need to pay as if we were running out. When I questioned him, he smirked and said it's "policy ". I won't be returning and will tell anyone who will listen to not come to this place read more

When I found out there was a bubble tea place near me I was ecstatic! There aren't that many close to where I live and I have to travel to get some. But I recently tried this place and I cannot recommend it enough!!!! The drink I had was delicious and the custard cakes were perfect. The staff was also very friendly. The cashier was very patient with my mom when she was asking questions and deciding what she was wanted to get and helped her decide. Also, the cakes take about 6 minutes to make, which I did not mind at all, but just keep that in mind if you are in a rush. It can get busy so be patient with the staff. They are awesome! I will be visiting this location quite often from now on. read more

We weren't expecting our my 10yo's order to look exactly like the picture, but this was a cup of milk and boba. Barely any syrup. But even that's not a reason to leave the negative review. The reason I'm leaving a negative review is because they had absolutely no interest in resolving it for my daughter. We were polite and smiling, not rude at all. The response we got was simple "No. If you don't like it, you can order another, no exceptions." read more

Mr Wish - We ordered the black tiger milk, does this even resemble the picture in the slightest? - Bubble Tea Near Me - Marlboro, New Jersey

Disappointed. My kids loooove boba tea. This time they ordered Black Tiger Milk and it was very bland. Very little syrup and boba. Mostly milk. We asked if we could get a little more syrup to add to it and they said no because "that's the recipe". We said we understood but the drink was mostly milk and didn't look anything like the photo. They said we could just buy a different tea. I expressed disappointment and the staff was not willing to accommodate in any way. They said they keep their prices low for a reason. I said I rather pay a little more and get good tea with more syrup. They said they would rather lose one customer. So be it. We will not be returning. read more

The drinks were fine, unlike the service. The person who assisted us was a bit rude, and acted passive-aggressive. We had to remind him to make a drink sugar free, although we said it twice while ordering. One of the people with us is diabetic, so the drink being sugar free was very important. He ignored when we requested 60% sugar in one of the drinks, and could never hear us. All the other baristas we encountered during other times we came here were very nice and friendly. This place was ok overall, and this is the first time I've had to write a bad review. read more

Finally a boba and fruit tea place close by that I don't have to drive down to Edison to get my fix. I am a little picky when it comes to boba tea and they satisfied my taste buds for it. I was a bit weary because I have tried the Mr. Tea in Edison and it was just ok. But I always give places a try, so figured why not give this location a try too. The place is clean and the staff is nice and friendly. My son enjoys their mango smoothie (def saves me the trip to mango mango), my husband enjoyed their colorful fruit tea and I go for my usual pearl milk tea. Only thing I might say I wish was a little better are their pearls. They are a bit too soft for my liking - if it was maybe cooked a few mins less? It would not be as soft? Not sure how to really describe it. But either way, I'll still take it. read more
