Perfect little diner! Well priced. Staff is nice. Food doesn't disappoint. Definitely will be back.

My preliminary inspection of this close laundry mat at Chic's Beach Shopping Center proved it to be the best location to wash 2 of my comforters. Even though my LG Washer & Dryer are large, I didn't want to risk damaging them with a large comforter. I absolutely didn't want to have them dry cleaned because of the dry cleaning fluids they use. I knew the chemicals would bother my lungs. My Daddy's first occupation was in dry cleaning & he owned a dry cleaners until he felt polyester fabric would put it out of business. My years of playing in the dryer cleaners as a child taught me very early of the processes that were involved. So a laundry mat was my choice. The machines are plentiful and well marked with the number of loads each can handle. The choice are quite varied. The greatest improvement is adding the function of using an App to pay digitally, eliminating the need for a plethora of coins. Seating looked uncomfortable with plastic chair backs in a style that would prohibit me from sitting for a long period while I waited for the comforters to finish. But directly adjacent, with a door between the two, is a diner where one could eat or have coffee during the wait. The diner was closed during my visit so I can't speak to the menu or the comfort of the seating. Immediately after coming home I downloaded the App so I could wash my favorite comforter in the next few days, Then my plans were foiled by testing positive for the latest Covid variant. I want to be able to go out of the house, I want to wash my comforter. Bayside Laundry will be my choice when I can. read more

Came here today for my usual laundry and lunch, and as usual the machines and the food here are great. I did notice 2 new things: 1. The grill has gone back to closing at 2:30 every day (I'm not upset, I'm just putting the hours here in case anyone needs a quick look) 2. They replaced the vending machines with their new wash, dry, and fold station. I don't know how long it's been here for, but it wasn't here the last time I was here. If this is your thing, go for it, but I personally like to do my own stuff read more

The washers for large items were okay but the standard size ones were not clean like they are on the website. Also, I had a small problem with the app and the dryer and the person who works there was not very helpful. He kept telling me he didn't know anything about how the app works when I was really asking him for help with the dryer. It is nice to have a laundromat close by for comforters, etc. read more

What went well? EVERYTHING! The food is exactly what you'd hope to get from an "Alice's" diner but delivered fast, in the most friendly "...Where everybody knows your name" kinda place. The laundry machines are clean, affordable, and you dont need to bring a wheelbarrow full of quarters. Start your laundry, get "The Mess" burrito breakfast, a yummy Mimosa. When breakfast is done, so is your laundry. Best business idea EVER! read more

Frozen food heated up for customer. Ver bland food. Was makes a better burger and that's sad because I won't eat their burger either. Go to Roosters next door for real food or if you like Asian food there is a great place near the Kroger down the street. read more

Absolutely amazing. Great food, service and pricing. HINT! I'd really love to see a hot roast beef, hot turkey and a hot meatloaf sandwich with gravy added to the menu. read more

Great customer service, old school diner grill that has a wonderful southern comfort menu. Also serves adult beverages. Side of the grill is the laundry services, you can eat while you wait for your laundry! Please don't change, I love this place! read more

Speed Queen washer/dryer (quarters machine and pay by app). Clean location, ample parking, with plenty of shopping interest by foot while you wait for your laundry. Cameras and surveillance signs warn of theft but the owner made his presence known, which made safety no concern to me. Food was decent. Ordered turkey bacon club wrap, fish and chips and a small pitcher of beer with frozen mugs. Only regret was not getting onion rings. The fries were good, fresh cut, but a table over order the onion rings and I'm still thinking of them. read more

Good food within a limited menu. Waitress's were fun and a little sassy (in a good way).

The food is good. CASH ONLY. The laundry is nice as well. Fairly clean but mold on the rubber top of the washer. My kid liked the play area. They have a change machine, TV. Very clean! The little restaurant is really tasty! Enjoyed my breakfast. Nicely cooked eggs and pancakes. Coffee was pretty good too! They do have beer there! Nice amount of washers and dryers. read more

I've been here a few times for breakfast. The people are friendly and the service is fast. The new management has done a great job upgrading the diner, creating a cozy atmosphere. And now the downside. The last two times I ordered pancakes they were undercooked. I even mentioned it this morning when I ordered and got slightly browner pancakes that were still undercooked. They should not be doughy in the middle. I took two bites and gave up. They were not edible. Also, the credit card machine did not work. Fortunately, I had enough cash on me to pay the check. I like this place, but I don't want to get undercooked food again. read more

This business is under new ownership with an expanded menu! The grill area has a fresh, and clean update while still keeping it's charm. I have only been here for breakfasts. I love the fact that they are open at 5 every morning except Sunday (opens later on Sun). I get out of work in the area at 5 AM and this is the only place around that is open that early except for chains that I'm not fond of. Mrs Margaret makes a great breakfast. I love the ham and egg or bacon and egg or sausage and egg sandwiches. I also always get hash browns and coffee. The service is always great. I always get my food fast. This place is not fancy and it is like an old school diner. It is inside a laundry mat. There are some great old photos haning up here and some sports memorabelia that is interesting. I see they have draft beer also. This place is all I could ask for for an early morning breakfast place. I don't need or want fancy at 5 AM when I get out of a 12 hr watch on the waterfront. I want good food and no frills at a reasonable price - and in this place I've found it. I've added pics of the food I've had here. read more

On Shore Drive in the Chic's Beach Shopping Center, aka Margaret's, is a great place to take your laundry when your own washer has conked out. Inside you'll also find a great little "hole in the wall" diner. A local version of a "Waffle House". Great service, friendly staff, straight forward no nonsense American breakfast served hot right off the flat top grill. An obvious "Locals" nook - most of the customers and staff knew each other. Two fried eggs over easy - perfect. Grits with the butter already melted in - just needed "Texas Pete's". A side of milk gravy with sausage bits and a fluffy biscuit - wonderful. A generous 4-slice order of bacon. Choice of toast - make mine wheat - and all the coffee you could drink. If you'll looking for a basic great breakfast, please give this little dive a try. read more

The Bayside Laundry & Grill is located in Bayside Shopping Center on Shore Drive inside of the old Twin Bee Auto Parts building. I stopped in here yesterday for lunch after seeing Jim B's fried egg sandwich photos. The diner itself takes up about a quarter of the building. I have to say unlike another review I found the place to be spotless. No dust bunnies running around at all. I sat at the counter and there was one regular to my left and someone else washing clothes was getting a beer. I ordered my lunch and waited hardly at all before my meal arrived. For the meal I ordered a fried egg sandwich with bacon and cheese and a side of home fries plus a coke. The food was good, in fact it was excellent. The sandwich was on toasted wheat bread, and the home fries had actually been deep fried and I asked to have a little cheese melted on top. It all sounds good so far, however I do have 2 big complaints. The meal came out to just shy of $10.00... That's right 10 bucks for a fried egg sandwich, home fries and a drink? Really? I thought that was excessive. The other hit is the establishment is cash only. In this day an age being cash only can be a real pain for those prefer to use a credit or debit card. I did notice that they had one of those little one armed bandit ATM's in the laundromat side, however no one likes to use those things if they can avoid it. So all in all a mixed bag. Good food, to expensive for what you get, and cash only. I'll let you decide whether you want to check it out or not from there. read more

We meet as a small group in the hot dog shop every couple of weeks. The food is good for what we used to pay. At our recent meeting a tuna sandwich fries and ice tea was almost $16.00..2 hot dogs fries ice tea was almost $13.00....they advertise hot dogs on the internet for $2.20 each ,they have upped their prices and lost our business. We will find a new venue for our meetings. read more

Writing from a purely laundromat review perspective: They have massive washers and dryers that make doing 4-6 loads of laundry in one fell swoop in an hour possible. I brought all my bedding, clothing from two weeks and kitchen towels and the such and used the industrial washer. $7 for the wash, and it took a little over 30 minutes-and it was very thorough and the clothes smelled great. After the wash was complete I threw them in a massive dryer and fed it some coin. For $3 I dried everything quickly (a little over 20 minutes), folded it and packed up. The snack bar was closed, but the owner was there cleaning the place constantly and the bathrooms were pristine. Unlike a lot of other laundromats I have been too-this one is remarkably clean and the machines are great. I will be back. read more

This is a really nice little find. Breakfast and laundry at same time. Washed all my bedding and had really good breakfast at same time. What else do you want? The ladies behind the counter deserve a lot of credit for making this place special because I don't think it's just the food that brings patrons back. Honestly, this is the ideal place to do laundry on a Sunday morning. The laundry facilities are really clean and they have plenty of washing machines and dryers. The machines use quarters so you can empty your piggy bank instead of depleting your cash in effort to add money to a laundry card. The prices vary based on the size of the machine which is cool because you can do really big loads for leas than $5. There's a small tv but they show football so time will fly while you wait on your clothes to wash. We ordered breakfast, it seemed like it would be cheap looking at the menu but we ended up spending $25 for 2 meals. Everything was good though. I would compare it to IHOP. We had pancakes, eggs and home fries. My husband ordered a steak, he enjoyed it. It was about 4 oz. Sorry no pictures. The waitresses were both nice and happily refilled our fountain drinks. The diner section was twice as busy as the laundry may so it's obvious its a place that locals gather. Hopefully we will have power back soon so we don't have to keep going to the coin op but if we don't I will definitely be back! read more
