We had a perfect one night stay here! After a quick search on a hotel app, we discovered that anything available was all around the same price point. Be it that it was the week of Christmas so we expected competing prices and jabs. Although this is obviously an older property, it is well maintained and our room was cozy and updated. The towels are rough and scratchy but that's honestly my only complaint. The check in was easy and a gift shop area is within the lobby. There is a private gym located next to the lobby. There's also a patio picnic area outside the lobby. Our room was on the third floor but luckily an elevator made carrying our luggage more convenient. A super cute bar and restaurant is located next door with live music and a beautiful island ambiance. The hotel property itself has lush green, tropical plants and encompasses everything island like! We'd definitely stay here again!

My wife surprised us for a nice little getaway to Key Largo this past weekend. Upon arriving to the property which is called Bayside Inn I was shocked because I stayed in the same place 30 years ago with parents. The place gave me a hit of nostalgia from that trip. The hotel has showed some age from the simple rooms to the tiny bathroom. It has a little man made beach on the back, which was awesome to see the sunsets.

We booked our room at Bayside Inn Key Largo thru Booking.com. We had to pay up front. We were supposed to have 2 beds, all the amenities plus a private pool and a view of the Premier Island water view. After we were checked in by a lady who's name we didnt catch, another lady by the name of Sharon or Shari took us to a first floor room by the parking lot with NO private pool and NO view of Premier Island. Our view was of a oil tank or gas tank in some weeds in the back parking lot about 10 feet from our window!! Really?? Shari said this was the room we would have and the room we paid for was already taken and that they only have 3 of those type of rooms and they are always booked up by "regulars". So we were out of luck! We were crushed! Why did they even advertise them? They don't allow cancellations and we didn't want to lose our money for a 2 night stay. I couldn't believe we had a Bait and Switch scam played on us. We didn't know what to do. This was not right. However, Shari remembered there was a 2-bed room on the 3rd floor that had basically the same view but showed more of the tops of the trees instead of the gas tank. She urged us to at least look at it. We looked and it wasn't as bad as the other one and we didn't want to drive all the way home or lose our entire payment so we accepted. I wasn't pleased that we paid for a private pool and water view and had to settle for this average room. I could see that Shari was uncomfortable about what happened. She helped us bring up all our suitcases and was a very nice lady. I dont think she was at fault in this situation. I would like to know who was though. Our room in 316 was clean and seemed a bit larger than the 1st floor one. The view was of tree branches with pretty green leaves and we saw the gas tank below us and the parked cars. As long as we didn't look down, it was ok. We had a desk, dresser drawers, a fridge, a safe, a microwave, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, a roomy closet and a private shower/toilet with door. The sink was next to the entry. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Everything worked fine. The swimming pool in the back could use updating and was only 3 ft deep even though in the middle it said 4 ft. I knew it wasn't 4 ft because I am 5'6" and it came to my waist. It's not cold when you get in. There were chaise lounges available with small tables. The private beach area is small but very nice. There were paddle boards and kayaks available. People were swimming and sunbathing. Next door was Snook's restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there was a shortcut to it near the pool. Great food and ambiance at Snook's. If we didn't have the fiasco that we experienced, then I might have given 3.5- 4 stars. Bayside does take good care of the rooms and Shari was outstanding with her customer service.

Beach area to take out paddle boards and kayaks. Also docks with chairs and water access for swimming and sunbathing.

Loved this motel. It was so convenient and clean. The rooms are upgraded and felt very clean (minus all the sand we tracked in). The bathroom is upgraded with a nice walk in shower. The water access was my favorite part. They have a great waterfront area with seating, hammocks and a pool. The best part is the complimentary SUPs and Kayaks! I loved taking those out in the evening. The bar next door was also amazing. Good food, great drinks, and walking distance to our room. Overall I didn't have any negatives to my stay and would 100% book here again.

Stayed here over the weekend and was pleasantly impressed. The staff was accommodating as we had an issue upon arrival. Our room was rennovated, spacious, modern, and very clean. Love that they provide Tommy Bahama products in the room (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & lotion). Our room was steps away from their pool, cabanas and beach. They have kayaks and paddleboards for use on the beach. They also have beach cruisers for guests to enjoy. The property is a few steps away from Snooks restaurant and tiki bar. Parking was also a breeze. This super cute hotel is also pet friendly. Loved our stay and will likely be back. Thank

Great location. Right next to a restaurant called snooks which has good food and live music/ drinks. They even have happy hour. The rooms were clean, nothing spectacular but decent for the price. We chose this hotel because it's dog friendly but we were a little disappointed that we were told dogs aren't allowed in the water at the beach. In my opinion that is not completely dog friendly so just keep that in mind if you plan to bring your fur baby. Other than that the sunset and beach setup was spectacular and the staff is friendly.

Bayside Inn Key Largo has a private beach with access to the water. Enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding from the beach into the Florida Bay.

The first impression when…read moredriving into the place was, "What could possibly be back here that is going to work for a wedding?" However, the answer to that was surprisingly great. The villas have separate rooms with common areas and the one I was in had three bedrooms. The bedroom situation was similar to a hotel room. A nice comfortable bed, a private bathroom, generous closet space, and - most importantly - a good stable temperature even with the thermostat being out in the hall. A ceiling fan helps with circulation, which is great too. The only real downside I can think of is that two of the bedrooms are on the second floor, and you need to take this into account with your luggage as there are no elevators. Well, that and the fact that the finish of the stairs blend into the floor at the bottom so if you are older this might make for a physical perception problem as well. Anyway... Parking is a little tight when the place is full, but the location worked out really well for the wedding ceremony. Out on the point you can see the sunset across the water in the evening. Manatees frequent the dock which are a sight to behold. Across the dock there was a nice flat area on hard sand that was perfect for the reception. Yes, there are water activities including dolphin interactions across the boarder from what are the villas, but I can't make any comment on that part since I didn't manage to even visit over there.

My husband actually has…read moreeven more history here--he used to come when he was younger and later returned with a buddy to sell a boat. Back then, before COVID, the property had large tiki huts on the dock, and they even served breakfast in the mornings. After COVID, things seemed to go downhill. During our last trip to the Keys, we actually chose not to stay here because it just wasn't the same. This year, though, we decided to give it another chance, and I'm glad we did. You can definitely tell they've invested a lot of money into improving the property. In previous years, the air conditioners were so weak that we actually packed multiple fans every trip just to stay comfortable. This time, the air conditioning worked great and kept the room nice and cool. That alone made a huge difference in our stay. Another big improvement is the dock. For years, there was a large hole where the old tiki hut used to be, making that area feel unfinished. After more than six years, they've finally repaired the dock. While I do miss the tiki hut, it's nice to see the space usable again. There were also several smaller updates around the property that didn't go unnoticed. Overall, I'm really happy with the improvements. This visit completely changed my opinion, and we'll definitely be staying here again. The only thing I still wish they had is a pool, but that's a minor inconvenience--we usually just head elsewhere for a day pass when we want to swim. It's great to see this place heading in the right direction, and I'm looking forward to returning next lobster season.

We used one of the speakers on property to connect our music to and just had a relaxing time. On Saturday we had our reception and Bryan and Meegan setup the tables and lights just how we wanted them. The reception was perfect - everyone could be spaced out and sit and relax wherever they wanted to on the property; using the hammock, sitting under one of the many tiki huts, at the beautiful bar, or just relaxing near the beach. On Sunday we had people come back by to use the facilities. There are kayaks, paddleboards, and sand toys that we used. We also bought a couple fishing poles and were able to catch fish right off the dock (you caught a fish everytime you threw your line in!). Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a nice relaxing time. We chose to rent and drive from the airport because we had a trip to Key West planned. It's about a 90 minute drive from the airport so, an Uber would have been pretty costly. The valet takes care of your luggage and places it on a golf cart while you check in. The check in process took about 10 min. The front desk staff wasn't super friendly but they weren't rude either. They are supposed to offer you a drink, but we were not offered one by our receptionist while the couple next to us were offered one. No biggie. One thing to note: when you book, 50% is due. Then the other 50% is due thirty days prior to your arrival if you switch your source of payment, they charge you 10%. That same card has do be used for gratuity or add ons. Keep this in mind when you plan. Also, they put a $100/day hold on your card when you check in. After check in, the valet takes you on a tour of the property and then brings you to your room. You'll want to have cash for gratuity for the valet. The Bungalows themselves are gorgeous and offer an outdoor area and outdoor shower. I don't think the beach view bungalows are worth the upgrade. After that, you're on your own for the most part. They schedule your dinner, but other than Bogie and Bacall, they are pretty flexible. Fish Tales is the main restaurant. They offer a four course meal. The food was great. I wouldn't say "amazing" but really well done. The service is impeccable. This is an all inclusive bur gratuity isn't included. This was annoying and probably my biggest complaint. At the end of your meal you are handed a check of all you consumed with a recommend range of gratuity. You put in what you want to leave and sign it and leave. The issue is, it's hard to keep track of how much you're spending. So if you're on a budget, that can be a problem. At night everyone gathers around the tiki bar to enjoy the entertainment. There is only one bad and it fills quickly. The bartenders are also filling drink orders for the pool, and in some situations, Sea Seniors next door. You can also order food at the tiki bar if you choose. It's basic bar food and pizza but quite delicious. There is live entertainment daily from 11-11. There was trivia one night, and karaoke another. But there were no real events offered. In the mornings everyone heads to Fishtales for breakfast. There is a good variety of choices, including a buffet. They do not change it up at all though. So it can get a little boring day after day. They also have a mimosa and bloody Mary self serve bar. Pro tip, bring your own yeti and take two plastic cups of minosa and some ice and put them in your yeti for the pool. There are no drinks served until 11 am at the pool which was pretty odd in my opinion. The tiki bar also doesn't open until 11. It was off season but I will say that the pool didn't really get busy. There are two pools. Ok is a zen pool with little cabana beds. It's more quiet there but the main pool was described as the party pool and he was really chill too. There are about 12 pairs of lounge chairs and umbrellas and two big cabanas with couches. It didn't seem like there would be enough but it ended up to be plenty. We w They have servers come around the pool but it takes quite a bit to get your drinks so pack your patience. They also give you a bill at the end with what you ordered and suggested gratuity. It was easy to forget and just leave so I hated this process. I would have rather been charged a daily gratuity to be split between the staff but that's not what they want to do. Bogie and Bacalls: you get a free night there if you stay for more than 4 days. If you don't it's $300 plus gratuity. This was their high end restaurant and it wand spectacular! You get a ton of food and premium drinks. Expect to tip about $100 here. There is an indoor bar/speakeasy called Hemingways. This is not included in your stay. It's premium cocktails and liquor. There is also the "Family Room" which is a giant indoor/outdoor game room. There are no servers there. If you have a yeti, you could grab a few drinks from the tiki bar and keep it cold. There is a huge TV so we were able to watch the USA game on it with a few other guests. I chose to get a massage. It's a beautiful area of the park but there's no way that 50 min massage was worth $300 + 22% gratuity. They offer water activities. No one was using them. There are some other ads ons but very few guests chose to do them. Overall this is a wonderful, very chill spot and I can see why many guest come back year after year. I wish there were more dining and bar options, and more events offered. The cost was pretty high for what they offer. But we had an amazing time and I'm so glad we did it!
