I wish I had read these reviews before I booked through Delta Stays, although TBT it may have been the best price for the location during a busy spring break. The check in lady was great. But here is where things didn't quite come together. We were given room 202. When we checked in, we were told that there would be someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. At 1130 pm, we realize that our toilet didn't flush very well, and just needed a plunger. I had to ring the desk several times and finally did get someone around 12:15 AM. I requested service on the toilet the next day, but that never came to fruition during our two day stay. We did get a plunger. In the meantime, there were several other issues with our room - general aging with a lot of rusty metal parts, furniture falling apart, a non-functional toilet paper holder, no extra toilet paper, no hand soap, a shower handle that was extremely loose with a large nail hanging out of it, missing lightbulbs, and peeling paint. The beds were decently comfortable. The housekeeper was nice. The property has a very small pool. And some good shore access. Can go fishing on the dock. Strange local family hanging out there like it's their backyard. No breakfast. Nice coffee/drink maker. Would not choose to stay here again. read more

We had a perfect one night stay here! After a quick search on a hotel app, we discovered that anything available was all around the same price point. Be it that it was the week of Christmas so we expected competing prices and jabs. Although this is obviously an older property, it is well maintained and our room was cozy and updated. The towels are rough and scratchy but that's honestly my only complaint. The check in was easy and a gift shop area is within the lobby. There is a private gym located next to the lobby. There's also a patio picnic area outside the lobby. Our room was on the third floor but luckily an elevator made carrying our luggage more convenient. A super cute bar and restaurant is located next door with live music and a beautiful island ambiance. The hotel property itself has lush green, tropical plants and encompasses everything island like! Upon arriving to the property which is called Bayside Inn I was shocked because I stayed in the same place 30 years ago with parents. The place gave me a hit of nostalgia from that trip. We booked our room at Bayside Inn Key Largo thru Booking.com. We had to pay up front. We were supposed to have 2 beds, all the amenities plus a private pool and a view of the Premier Island water view. After we were checked in by a lady who's name we didnt catch, another lady by the name of Sharon or Shari took us to a first floor room by the parking lot with NO private pool and NO view of Premier Island. Our view was of a oil tank or gas tank in some weeds in the back parking lot about 10 feet from our window!! Really?? Shari said this was the room we would have and the room we paid for was already taken and that they only have 3 of those type of rooms and they are always booked up by "regulars". So we were out of luck! We were crushed! Why did they even advertise them? They don't allow cancellations and we didn't want to lose our money for a 2 night stay. I couldn't believe we had a Bait and Switch scam played on us. We didn't know what to do. This was not right. However, Shari remembered there was a 2-bed room on the 3rd floor that had basically the same view but showed more of the tops of the trees instead of the gas tank. She urged us to at least look at it. We looked and it wasn't as bad as the other one and we didn't want to drive all the way home or lose our entire payment so we accepted. I wasn't pleased that we paid for a private pool and water view and had to settle for this average room. I could see that Shari was uncomfortable about what happened. She helped us bring up all our suitcases and was a very nice lady. I dont think she was at fault in this situation. I would like to know who was though. Our room in 316 was clean and seemed a bit larger than the 1st floor one. The view was of tree branches with pretty green leaves and we saw the gas tank below us and the parked cars. As long as we didn't look down, it was ok. We had a desk, dresser drawers, a fridge, a safe, a microwave, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, a roomy closet and a private shower/toilet with door. The sink was next to the entry. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Everything worked fine. The swimming pool in the back could use updating and was only 3 ft deep even though in the middle it said 4 ft. I knew it wasn't 4 ft because I am 5'6" and it came to my waist. It's not cold when you get in. There were chaise lounges available with small tables. The private beach area is small but very nice. There were paddle boards and kayaks available. People were swimming and sunbathing. Next door was Snook's restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there was a shortcut to it near the pool. Great food and ambiance at Snook's. If we didn't have the fiasco that we experienced, then I might have given 3.5- 4 stars. Bayside does take good care of the rooms and Shari was outstanding with her customer service. read more

The pictures are better than expected. As others noted, the place shows aging. There are no door signs so be ready for the housekeeping knock. The mattress is stiff and you got 4 soft pillows to go with your three sheets. No blanket or extra pillows. Basic tv is available. Wifi is horrible. You have to log in constantly to get connected as it keeps dropping the connection. Forget working remotely. The private beach is just for soaking and a launch. Not much of a swimming hole. I wouldn't considering the presence of jellyfish nearby. They offer two paddle boards for free and several bikes. If they are taken then you are out of luck. Snooks was conveniently nearby but also very pricey for so-so quality. It is convenient to other establishments. It has a gym and separate pet area. AC works as we were welcomed by a very chilled room. For the cost and what we expected, we are unlikely coming back. read more

1st time at this hotel, we usually stay at a different place close to here but their prices were double. We planned on staying one night but quickly decided to make it two after spending time at the pool and beach. It's beautiful. The office to check in is a small separate building, TJ was great, very informative with the area as well as the hotel. There's complimentary coffee in the office, and snacks and a few cute gift items, beach apparel etc. Our 1st room had very little water pressure, very annoying made for a horrible shower. The bed was very comfortable and had 4 great pillows. (I read a review that the pillows were flat). The 2nd nite (we changed rooms) the shower was perfect, but the shade in the big picture window was broken, my husband was able to rig it to stay up, a temporary fix. There is an amazing restaurant nxt door, Snooks bayside, they give 10% off when you show them your hotel key.We always go there for dinner when in Key Largo. We didn't use the bikes or kayaks but hope to return and will make sure we do. read more

This Inn was okay, but I think you'd need to stay longer than a night to fully take advantage of and appreciate the amenities and location. We stayed here as a launching off point to see the Keys on our way to Key West. Unfortunately due to traffic from Miami, we arrived in the dark so couldn't see much of the property. The lady at the front desk was 10/10 for friendliness, ease of check in and a great recommendation for dinner. Our room was fine - I would say it 75% looked and felt like the pictures online. Bathroom fan was super loud but everything was functional and clean. There's a couple of drug stores within walking distance for snacks and other sundries. I stayed 2 yrs ago and really was happy with the hotel and provided amenities. Stayed again this June 27-29 was a different experience . The fridge if the first assigned room was broken so they gave me a different room. Next morning discovered my food was ruined as this fridge had problems too. The paddle boards were locked 2 hrs before they were supposed to because they didn't have staff to lock them later . My sister room all the toiletries bottles were emptied and half of her mattress was flat providing no support and making it difficult to find comfort . Not sure I'll book here again . read more

The place isn't bad but it gives more cheap motel vibes than anything. The stand in shower in our room had a broken corner of caulking which keeps the water in the shower but ours in room 111 was broken in the corner so the water was going all over the bathroom. We asked the front desk lady to have our room changed, she stated they had no extra rooms and were all booked out. So we were basically just gonna have to use towels to dry the water which was ALOT. I wouldn't come here again or recommend anyone I know to come here. read more

Loved this motel. It was so convenient and clean. The rooms are upgraded and felt very clean (minus all the sand we tracked in). The bathroom is upgraded with a nice walk in shower. The water access was my favorite part. They have a great waterfront area with seating, hammocks and a pool. The best part is the complimentary SUPs and Kayaks! I loved taking those out in the evening. The bar next door was also amazing. Good food, great drinks, and walking distance to our room. Stayed here over the weekend and was pleasantly impressed. The staff was accommodating as we had an issue upon arrival. Our room was rennovated, spacious, modern, and very clean. Love that they provide Tommy Bahama products in the room (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & lotion). Our room was steps away from their pool, cabanas and beach. They have kayaks and paddleboards for use on the beach. They also have beach cruisers for guests to enjoy. The property is a few steps away from Snooks restaurant and tiki bar. Great location. Right next to a restaurant called snooks which has good food and live music/ drinks. They even have happy hour. The rooms were clean, nothing spectacular but decent for the price. We chose this hotel because it's dog friendly but we were a little disappointed that we were told dogs aren't allowed in the water at the beach. In my opinion that is not completely dog friendly so just keep that in mind if you plan to bring your fur baby. My husband and I were looking forward to our visit to Bayside. However when we checked in we were very disappointed, The room was filthy and the water pressure in the shower was horrible. The bathroom and shower area did not appear if as it had been sufficiently cleaned. There was streaks of something all over the walls. I heard complaints from other visitors as well while in the office. The manager promised a refund but to date, no such refund has been received. I really liked this hotel for many reasons. I loved the room and the balcony overlooking the pool and the water. thank you so very much for the upgrade. The room was very clean and spacious. We spent most of our time on the balcony listening to the music from the restaurant next door. They offer kayaks, and paddleboards on a FCFS basis. The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel grounds were very welcoming as well. Small property, plenty of parking, easy in/out with a great location. Rebecca and Kat are extremely unprofessional. I checked in on 8/31 and paid my bill of $657.66. Today I looked at my checking account and they had charged me again, nearly another $600. When I called to get things straightened out, Kat told me she only saw the initial charge and then said "Yeah, I don't know what to tell you". I had to call my bank and deal with that for an hour while on my last day of vacation because they are both incompetent. When my husband came into their office he told them we would never stay there again, one of them replied "Well good". Do not stay here unless you want your money stolen and to be treated as a second class citizen. The view from the peasant rooms in the motel sucks too and the bed is uncomfortable and cheap. I hope in the future the owners/managers don't hire idiots to run the place. read more

The Bayside Inn was a pleasant weekend stay for us, although things weren't perfect... The pros: Starbucks machine in the offfice, use of kayaks and paddleboards (although the wind was so bad we were unable to use them), walking distance to so many restaurants and stores (Mrs Mac's, Snooks, Bayside Grill, Skipper's, Denny's Latin Cafe, Walgreen's, etc). The sunsets here are amazing, the pool was heated and had a nice pool deck and comfortable loungers. The Bayside Inn was one of the more affordable spots in Key Largo, and I love the convenince to everything. The cons: the beds are small (double beds instead of queens) and rock hard (I guess it's better than too soft or saggy), no chair in the room, but the worst part was the shower in room 211. It literally trickled out if you wanted hot water (and who doesn't?). If you were ok with a freezing cold shower it worked somewhat better. The front desk person, Kat - was amazing in trying to deal with this issue for us. Unfortunately the inn was fully booked so there was no alternative room. Kat was empathetic and helped us with a refund for one night and some other extras, but we ended up checking out a day early anyway. Luckily we don't live that far away and our hot shower and bed was calling our name. I'm sure we will give Bayside Inn another try in the future - but definitely not room 211! read more

Very unprofessional service! We came at night, tired from the road, booked 1 King room the room through Hotels.com, checked in the front desk, when we went to the room it was 2 double beds. We thought it was a mistake, so we went back to the lobby to find out why it happened, and the lady told us they are out of King rooms, but she should've notified it to us before we checked in! We were disappointed and upset and asked to find at least Queen room, but she said it's not available ether. We got angry and asked her why she didn't inform us that before we checked in. And her response was if you want o cancel your reservation, you can do it and it's not very helpful. She was rude, unprofessional, raising her voice at us. Positives: Eating at the restaurant Snooks overlooking the sunset. All of the views creates such peace and relaxation Cons: room is sterile. Lighting is fluorescent lighting. That cafeteria style lighting that would give a fly a headache. Definitely not relaxing. It's almost the opposite feeling from the inside to the outside. The biggest CoN: THE BED. It's the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. I thought I would like a hard bed, this was beyond hard, I would compare it to sleeping in a tent in the woods when you forgot a bad or sleeping bag. PLUS, the puffy cotton filled 50 cent pillows were as equally unbearable. My neck hurt so bad within 5 min of laying down, I didn't sleep 1 hour. I tried using a towel for a pillow, my own clothes as a pillow, but the bed in itself didn't make for any solution to work. Ultimately, I would not come back unless they did a re-haul of the rooms. Until then, I really don't know how you work around these problems if you are looking for relaxation. Don't forget to bring your sunglasses you'll need them outdoor AS WELL as indoor. Also, I recommend bringing your own pillow but you still have the bed to contend with.. hmm. Good luck my survival warriors. May the sunsets and mojitos soothe you in your vacation battle. read more

Had a great stay at Bayside! Stayed two nights, it's been totally renovated, and the staff was nice and professional. Room was sparkling clean and the view was beautiful. They have kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles you can use for free. I wish the pool area had been nicer - definitely had a motel feel, could have been a bit more upgraded - but it was clean and the water was lovely. Would stay again! read more

The rooms have obviously been recently renovated and look nothing like the pictures on here. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of my own. The room was clean, cozy, and quiet. The motel offers kayaks, paddle boards, and beach cruisers for guests. There's a small pool, poolside cabana loungers, and a ping pong table. The sunset view is amazing and it's pretty handy to be able to grab a drink from Snook's just a few steps away. I would definitely return as this is one of the best values I could find in Key Largo, where everything seems to be overpriced. read more

Bayside Inn was great! Not many rooms so not many people. There is a pool, it's small but it does the trick because the place is pretty quiet so the pool wasn't busy at all while we were there. There were always chairs available on the beach/pier area even at sunset - this place is PERFECT for sunsets. There are kayaks and paddle boards available. You just take them they don't hassle you to sign them out or anything. The room was average. Nothing fancy and maybe could use mild updates but clean - I'm very picky about a clean bathroom where I stay and I was happy with the bathroom. The hotel grounds were beautiful. Very well kept landscaping. The lobby is great - they have a fancy Starbucks coffee maker that made a few different beverages - which included a chai latte which was delicious. They also had creamer and a selection of flavored syrups & sugars. They also had several options for teavana teas available. Snooks restaurant is directly next door. A phenomenal restaurant - food, view, atmosphere, live music, food comes out very quickly. And you get a 10% discount at Snooks if you show them you're staying at Bayside Inn. They are open for breakfast too which is super convenient. Location of Bayside on the island was fantastic. Close to several other restaurants & things to do. From the edges of the bayside pier we saw several manatees, different kinds of fish, starfish, crabs, lizards, and even a flamingo. Definitely recommend this place we were glad we chose Bayside Inn! read more

We we not down to Key Largo for a few days with good friends and stayed at the Bayside. It was perfect! Not a newer hotel but an older Motel Rooms have obviously been remodeled recently as it was very nice,clean and served our purposes perfectly. Smaller pool but again it was clean and had plenty of chairs. Very small beach but if you're going to the keys for a beach vacation you will be disappointed no matter where you stay. It has a handy location, beatiful pool and salt water lagoon beach , Bars an Restraunts in walking distance .The rooms appear newly renovated. The places is quiet. The bed is very comfortable The negative on the rooms. The bathroom has no kind of night light. Going to the bathroom at 2AM results in a blinding light filling the room and distrubing everyone. There is only one chair, something the looks like it belongs at a desk. But there is no desk or table to sit at for eating, talking writing or reading There is no closet nor any hangers or racks to hang up your clothes. read more

Filthy floors, we had 3 rooms and they all had disgusting floors, popcorn peeling off ceiling, spiders, our sliding door lock was a piece of fence post cut to size. I Would give only 2 stars but I know they are recovering from the storm and may have staff issues. In addition, please be advised a lot of FEMA family's are here ,relocated sue to the sttirm and are treating it as their home, smoking in the breezeway and drinking at the pool and as walking around quite a lot. I am sure this is temporary but would not bring my younger children here until they get relocated. read more

This wasn't the most extravagant hotel I've ever stayed in, but I was provided with a safe place to sleep. We went for a stroll around sunset to check out the event at the restaurant next door and we were able to witness the most gorgeous Key Largo sunset! If you are simple and just looking for a place that provides the basics, then this hotel will do the trick. If you're looking for more luxury travel, definitely look elsewhere. The woman in the office who checked us in was very friendly, the beds we had appeared to be clean, and the bathroom was clean as well. They also have a pool, which is not heated so it's chilly at night! It's also important to note that some people do live in this hotel, and to be mindful and respectful of them as well. * If you decide to stay here, check out Alfredo's restaurant a couple minutes up the road, delicious! read more

Ok hotel if you dont want any parking. For some reason they allow the restaraunt next door to use there parking. If i did the math corre t..60 or so rooms..40 parking spots...cant afford to let others use the spots. The person at the desk this past Friday was a complete bitch when asked where im supposed to park. Next day as we checked out we learned next door had no business parking there. Ok hotel room. Yet you have been warned about the way they deal with the parking. read more
