I ordered the Scorpion burger with curly fries and was not disappointed. By far the tastiest burger I have ever had with the perfect spice level. I thought the curly fries were fresh and perfectly fried, too. I was skeptical about the vegan cheese as the other vegan cheeses I have tried taste a bit "off" but the chao cheese used on this burger is superior and melted nicely! The staff was friendly from the moment I called in to place my order to when it came time to pick up my food. I was overjoyed by the variety of options on the menu and hope I can try something else while in town. Not to mention how quickly my order was prepared and ready for pick up in under 15 minutes. I was so excited to find a vegan restaurant that is closer to my home and the Bayside Cafe didn't disappoint. The interior has a cool and sleek vibe. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The woman who took our order was friendly and welcoming. It appeared one person was cooking and one serving, but orders moved quickly and we never felt neglected. The service was really good, which was impressive because the tables were pretty full. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and they were delicious!! Serving size was perfect for an appetizer. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was stuffed with goodness. I could only finish half. This sandwich was not greasy despite being loaded with just egg, hash browns, and sausage. The atmosphere is very funky - an old Chinese restaurant turned neon vegan spot - but it adds character and overall is a fun experience. But really, you should come here for the vegan food. First, want to start off by saying, Bayside opened in the midst of a global pandemic, and is going SO strong!! I am BEYOND proud of them for how hard that is and how they've come out on top!! They started in a much smaller location, just a little hallway of a cafe, packed to the gills with high quality food, all vegan, and smiles on their faces ready to take on the next order, always!! We didn't care that we had to drive by, run inside and drive around the block to pick each other up (parking of course very limited at the time), because the food blew us away completely. We first tried the fried pickles, No fish fish sandwich, and scorpion burger. The gasps we let out over how incredible it tasted was the first sound of us falling in love with Bayside. We would always call our order in, pick up and take home or pick up and drive to a cozy spot to eat. Each time we went, we would agonize over whether we got the same things but so desperately wanted to try so many other things on the menu; it's so hard because it ALL sounds incredible!! From the chickun ghost sandwich, to the scorpion burger, and the Elvis burger?? OH LORD THE ELVIS BURGER. I swear I had a love affair with that burger (not on the menu anymore, as they had to downsize the menu but that's totally understandable). Even taking their food home, it was always hot & just as amazing as if we had eaten it in house. They recently got to move to a much larger location on Broadway and my goodness, to say how proud I am of them, we would be here all day. The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, it's open, spacious, the color story of the walls is rich in warm and cool tones, with immaculate balance. Not to mention they kept the historical dragons on the wall to preserve the history of the restaurant they had taken over after it closed. We chose to eat here as our midday lunch date before I had to run my boyfriend to the airport, and even though there was only a couple people working, not once did we feel neglected. The food came out in good time, and even with how quickly it came out, it was so so clear their quality hadn't staggered one bit. All super fresh, piping hot, and clearly made in-house (looking at YOU fried pickles ). I finally took the leap and tried the Everett Brat that I had lusted after for so long, and my lord it was so so worth it. The FLAVORS danced on my tastebuds in the juiciest and most pivotal way, I can't even begin to express how happy I am that I finally ordered it. My boyfriend got the western burger, and one bite in, he just looks at me with that, "oh...my goodness..." face that told me he was in absolute heaven. This place is a godsend, and one of the places that helped fully convince my boyfriend that vegan food is where it's AT. We've both been vegan for a few years now and will never go back, especially when there are incredible places to eat like Bayside. i am an unapologetic carnivore, but i've tried various plant-based products and a few restaurants because you know, i'm curious. i can truly say this is the best tasting and prepared vegan restaurant i have been to. we wandered in because we wanted a daytime beer and their sandwich board on the sidewalk said they had beer. what a most fortuitous decision for us. we were greeted and seated quickly at the last available 2-top. service was cheerful and efficient by the one and only server. surprise! Bayside Cafe is vegan! the menu is an honest to goodness bar food, with no pretentions. we're talking stacked burgers, sandwiches, nachos, and hotdogs and brats. burgers and brats are made with Beyond Meat and Impossible meat. the other meats are chikun and field roast franks. there are no jack fruit anything on the menu. jalapeno popper grilled cheese: served with a nice toasty sourdough bread. the cheese was melty, the jalapenos were freshly sliced. tasty and spicy. buffalo wingz: close enough! no complaints. the buffalo sauce was bold and spicy. the wingz had a soft texture and a good flavor. fries: as expected. no need to stretch for vegan here. cooked in fresh oil. curly fries: crispier than the regular fries. good. chilly dog: delicious! big fat Field Roast frank smothered under a thick beany chili with a protein that mimicked ground beef. the bun had enough substance to hold up to the frank and the chili. imho the protein was unnecessary. the meatless bean chili stands on it's own. scorpion burger: nice fat patty. lots of sriracha and jalapeno, the bun was a sturdy brioche and did not fall apart under the weight of the burger and fixins'. it was declared a very satisfying burger. the Bayside Cafe is narrow and deep. the front half is a very long bar, which is closed right now because of you-know-why. the back room table seating is limited: a couple of 4 tops and a few more 2 tops. i can see spending a sport sunday enjoying the various bar-type food here and some beer and not even wonder or worry about vegan food. i'm posting only a few pictures. the ambient lighting in the Cafe is very warm and cozy, but does not do the food justice. highly recommended read more

Ordered scorpion burger, Everett bratt, and fishless filet. they didn't have the fishless filet and ended up giving me a chicken burger free of charge (how nice). Unexpectedly much better than I thought. Scorpion burger is a must have. Chicken burger was very good too (mine fell apart while eating but even the parts were good while separated). The bratt was average, and tasted "extra vegan". Best part was the tater tots. I think this may have been the best tots I've had in a long while. read more

On an afternoon full of joy and wonderment we decided to stop in for a bite to eat before heading back to our abode. I'm glad we did. This restaurant offers a fully Vegan menu as well as a full bar! Can't beat the prices of the kids menu either. My little one didn't care too much for the flavor of the veggie dog but I didn't expect much from him. The scorpion burger was a lively one. There were grilled peppers and vegan, meaty cheese bursting with flavor and leaking at the seam. It was a dripping,dribbling, mess by the time I'd had my fill. The totals are crisp and taste like the ones from the fair. The fried pickles were the star of my meal. Rather than a traditional dill oval battered and fried they had dill spears--a marvelous idea. The pairing of the fried pickles with the ranch was a dream. The crunch of the tempura, the sour rush of pickle juice and a creamy ranch melding all of the flavor components together! Ahh what a lovely place. Also our server was a nice and helpful young person. I didn't end up getting his name but he did have on the Waldo uniform and was very attentive to our needs. Wow. Such a nice staff and a cool set up. When my friend (Chuckles) recommended a vegan spot my stomach ached at the thought. But this was not the case. I'm kicking myself for not writing a review sooner. I'm OBSESSED with this place. I've tried one burger and two different dogs. Because of COVID I've only dined in once, but it just confirmed that the food is so good it doesn't matter if you dine in or take it to go (like to a local taproom). The best review is from the two meat eaters I brought here. Both of them loved it! Maybe not more than a real burger, but more than I expected. And to top it all off the people that work here/own the joint are all rad. Super accommodating (letting us grab to go when we showed up late) and super funny. I love taking people here to grab a burger and a beer! I can't wait to catch a Kraken game here! read more

Finding a completely vegan restaurant in Snohomish County is rare. I was so happy to find this cute downtown Everett restaurant that only serves vegan food, so no chance of cross contamination of dairy or meat. There are gluten-free options available as well. I've been there twice and enjoyed their delicious jalapeño grilled cheese, fries and tots. All good and reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly during both visits. Although it's in downtown Everett, which often has limited street parking, I was able to find parking rather quickly. The food is delicious whether you are vegan or not, I fully recommend the Bayside Cafe! read more
