What you want in a coach is someone who helps you identify the highest leverage areas to fix and work on them with structure, while also pushing you past your comfort zone to help you actually improve. Amy did that, to a really high standard. There was a structured plan, and each session involved actual practice and reps at the specific skill we were working. She also had an effective way to choose topics and speaking content that got me practicing in a way that felt natural, so I could isolate the speaking skill, rather than get bogged in the content at the same time (this was a stated concern I had going in). Highly recommend Amy and working with her is a no-brainer. She is very effective!

We were looking to get some coaching, just to make sure that how we presented the topic, ourselves, and represented our business was the best it could be. We worked with Donnie, over several sessions. I've done a lot of speaking engagements, and feel pretty confident in my ability to present - both in person and virtually. So I wasn't quite sure, to be honest, if I would get a lot out of this session. What I walked away with from our time together was a whole lot of improvement to my presentation skills. It wasn't just about how I spoke etc - but also on the actual content I was presenting too. We were really focused in on how to create the most impactful message at every moment of the presentation, so that our attendees would walk away feeling like they got something great out of it. Hands down, our presentation was 1000x better because of our work with Donnie. And I'll be back in a heartbeat the next time an important gig comes up. Whether you're new to speaking or a seasoned veteran, they do a really good job at providing the feedback needed to take what you're doing to the next level - and all in the service of not only you, as a communicator, but the people you're speaking to.

Anyone who has had the privilege of being one of Lauri's students has heard her teaching philosophy, and I can't imagine anyone would disagree with me when I say that Lauri truly embodies her philosophy. Lauri's philosophy states that she teaches "so as to be present for the moment when a student realises s/he is capable of more than s/he ever imagined". In Lauri's classes, I have had a few of these moments myself, and I believe I was able to have these moments of realisation because of the atmosphere of safety, trust and playfulness that Lauri creates in her classrooms and studios. Lauri inspires her students to follow her example in creating a "safe space" for people to play, explore and discover. We begin by discussing what would make a space safe to each of us, and agreeing to respect each other's definitions. We then discover new or perhaps simply forgotten sides of ourselves through Lauri's expertly-guided exercises. Some of these exercises can be highly physical, such as doing somersaults and handstands, whilst others are based on relaxation and visualisation. We have also done writing, drawing and observation exercises. Another of Lauri's focus points in her teaching and coaching is her work with meeting and overcoming one's Saboteur. As I have discovered in Lauri's classes, Saboteurs come in many forms and are not even understood in the same ways by everyone. But Lauri inspires confidence enough in her students that I have seen many people, including myself, able to meet and confront our Saboteurs. Perhaps the most interesting thing I have worked on with Lauri is also the one that seems the simplest. As often happens in Lauri's company, I find that many things that seem difficult become easy. I have worked with Lauri on the ability to simply stand without tension. Try it, it's not easy. Tension comes from within, and affects us in every aspect of our lives. Learning to stand, and then perhaps walk, run, and generally go about life without tension increases confidence and one's ability to succeed at whatever one attempts. Once you've truly stood without tension, you know exactly how it feels to experience life completely in the moment, without doubts or regrets, if even just for a second. And this is what Lauri's teaching offers: the combination of the physical with the emotional eliminating tension and doubt, silencing the voices that tell us we can't achieve, and empowering us to live truly confident, present lives.

I booked Lauri's speaking mastery lab after deciding to commit to bringing a personal story out to…read morea larger audience. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect but after Lauri's guidance I went from nervous and closed up on stage to open and speaking from a much deeper and more powerful place. At that moment, I did not know if I would get the new job or not, but I knew I needed a boost to feel confident in my presentation & public speaking skills as a long term goal. When speaking with Julia, she helped me address some concerns I struggled with: articulating my thoughts, nerves/anxiety, presenting in front of high stakeholders, etc. I asked her to help me with presentations because my new role would involve frequent meetings with key stakeholders and storytelling. After consulting with Julia, she recommended that I do 1:1 coaching with her and it was the best investment I did for my professional development in my career. The module courses are straight forward and are taken online. For the coaching sessions, she offers both in-person and virtual zoom meetings. I had the opportunity to meet her once in SF and did the rest all online since it was far away from me in the Bay Area. However, meeting virtually was absolutely effective and convenient for my needs. I enjoy listening to her videos, podcasts, and extra modules that are so helpful. I finished the Fully Expressed Mentorship Program and can say I feel a lot more confident and comfortable doing presentations. Before I used to talk so fast due to nervousness and anxiety, but now I am relaxed and engaged as a communicator in my presentations. Even my new manager for my new role has been giving me kudos for doing a great job with improving each time I present to her, all thanks to Julia's coaching and guidance. Thank you Julia, and for anyone who is reading this, I highly recommend her programs.
