I was turned off by that immediately. When we contacted Amanda I immediately felt comfortable and reassured that she was the best fit for us. There was no pressure or immediate schedule or routine because she really didn't know what he needed until she met him. She has a way with our son that not only makes him comfortable but makes his learning and therapy fun. Thanks to her he has come a long way in a short amount of time. She really cares about him and his progress and provides play activities that will best enhance his therapy sessions. Lj always looks forward to seeing her and playing with her, she really takes the time to get to know your child and helps establish a set goal. During the time they worked together his speech blossomed and he looked forward to her visits every week. Furthermore she was wonderful for us parents, giving us information, encouragement, and advice about child development. Even though his younger sister was not technically her client, Gina welcomed and included her in the sessions when she wandered in and wanted to play, and turned that time into lessons for both of them on how to play and talk to each other. When he started kindergarten she guided us in the process of how to get him into school-based speech therapy. It was truly bittersweet when he graduated from her care, but we know it was a testament to the tremendous progress he made with her help. 20 years ago I saw Candy a the St Mary's OT department for a problem with my neck…read more Fast forward to 2019 I had another neck problem. I called the St Mary's OT department four times to schedule an evaluation but always got through to voice mail and my calls were never returned. I was about to scheduled with another provider because I wasn't sure if Candy even worked at St Mary's any longer and it was just too difficult to schedule an evaluation appointment. Persevering, I use the physician's office option when I called the OT office number and finally managed to speak with a human. I was amazed that Candy still works there and was available to evaluate and treat me. Candy is a superb and highly experience therapist. She spent a lot of time listening to the explanation of my neck problem and examining me. We set up 6 appointments where she manipulated my neck and showed me exercises I could do to stop my chiropractor visits and prevent the neck pain. The result is that I no longer have any neck pain and no more visits to the chiropractor. I would give 5 stars for the therapy I received but reduced to 4 overall because of the difficulty in reaching a human being to schedule my evaluation appointment.

They were taking a good care of my mom. The building itself requires some renovation: all facilities are quite old (this is why I rated it 4 stars).

My brother was discharged to an unauthorized person and a person that was pretending to be his son…read more The lady that took him have been warned about my brother. She was a person of interested that pretending to be his caregiver. However, she is not a real caregiver, she was taking all of his money and causing him to be sick. This place do not care about their patients. The communication is bad, the staff do not communicate with each other. They never inform the people at the front with any information. I had to drive always from Vallejo to be informed that my brother had been discharged. When in fact the front desk worker had no idea or been informed that he had been checked out. When I visited my brother I heard the patients complaining about the services they were getting. It's unfortunately, that a place like this is one of the worst heath care facility in San Francisco.
