The sessions are supposed to be 50 minutes long, but a few of our sessions were curtailed due to the therapist's personal issues. At the end, my son is doing much better now, so I am glad that we used Therapista. Without them, he probably still does not have the fine motor skills to pick his nose or something!

I was doubtful after my first visit...maybe I just didn't click with the PT that day but everything changed once we saw Sarah. Sarah is amazing in every way possible. She was very personable and knowledgeable. At the end of every visit, she took the time to thoroughly explain exercises that were performed and how it helps Sammie progress. She also gave us exercises to do and nothing ever felt rushed. The appointments stopped feeling like doctors appointments but more like a play date and an opportunity for me to have 45 minutes to myself. This all changed when COVID hit and we decided to migrate and stick with telehealth. Definitely wasn't easy to have a resistant toddler do exercises but, again, Sarah remained patient and kind. The front desk person, Aida, was so sweet to boot. I love the fact that they started taking Venmo payments during COVID so that I didn't have to keep a credit card on file. I was really looking forward to our follow up in November to see Sarah and Aida but looks like they're no longer part of the practice. Hopefully we'll have a good experience with the new team when we return for a check in.

We ended up leaving after 2 months of our baby being born and went to another truly concierge-style pediatrician. The issues we had here was that 90% of our encounters were with a Nurse Practioner. Maybe I just got unlucky and never had an md available. The final straw was probably when my baby had his 2 month vaccine, ran a fever the same night, and the NP picked up the after hours call. She made us really nervous that something was extremely wrong even though it was just the vaccine. I mean after hours is for emergency. What if it was something worse- couldn't a doctor at least be on call? They also bill you for everything. I mean everything. Just sending an email with a photo of my baby's red bump, and then they ask to jump on a call for a few minutes just to tell me it's baby acne and then they bill $300-$400. Why not just respond via email. The same thing with asking basic questions like he's spitting up, constipated. Need to jump on a call and then get billed $300-$400. Money is not an issue for us but overtime it just seemed so ridiculous and prevented me from even wanting to email or call in. They also seem to love probiotics here. My baby had dry skin and the nurse told us to use probiotics to resolve it? He's spitting up, she told us to use probiotics. He's constipated. The solution was to use probiotics. My baby also developed a flat head. They sent us to physical therapy and to get advised for a helmet right away. At my new practice, the MD wanted to take a look at him first and then sent a referral to UCSF to get consultation with their cranio team. Anyway. I just felt like it's really cookie cutter here. Didn't feel like they cared about my baby at all. It's more like they provide good service. Yes someone will always respond to your email right away and answer your call. But just expect an NP or to be billed for every conversation you have with them.

The nurses and nurse aids helped me with everything. I couldn't go to the bathroom since both ankles had been broken. They took care of me. They have a wonderful pool that I used for physical therapy and occupational therapy. The farm has goats and I was able to visit it on a wheel chair and later on a walker to get around. The staff was from all over the world Indians, Americans, Chinese. It was as diverse of staff as the wonderful city of San Francisco. A true reflection of our great city diversity. I am forever grateful to each of them and this amazing institution.

It turned into a nightmare of months trying to figure out what they were going to do. So many things were made difficult through this administration including now being able to visit my mother. The Sheriffs Department almost always helps to make that as difficult a process as possible. They can't find you in the system, have you been here before, we've had IT issues, missing information.. ... we need to process you again, take your picture again.... Your picture doesn't match. They have "suggested" visiting hours for the hospital and wouldn't let me visit my mother and take her needed items on 04/05/25 at approximately 8:00 am., I had other things to do that day as well and my mother had swollen legs and feet, I bought her shoes to accommodate this issue because a couple days earlier a blood clot was found in her left leg after her Dr's appointment at SFGH..... I NEED THE SAN FRANCISCO SHERIFF'S DEPT, AND LAGUNA HONDA HOSPITAL TO GET IT TOGETHER.... I can't even list all the different health and fitness challenges that Mike and Gio have helped me get through. They've not only helped with overcoming challenges, but in achieving new goals. Some gym classes and personal training feel stressful, this was not that. I was able to put my energy into the exercises and let Mike and Gio safely handle planning and monitoring the routine. It's a welcome break during the workday or to start / end the day. The mental reset of the environment is as beneficial as the physical reset. On session cancellation policies: Some of them may seem a bit strict at the start, but they actually benefit you in the long run. The sessions are very customizable and taking a stretching or easy session is better than skipping, 100%. I don't think I'll be able to find anything this good, and the only reason I'm leaving after two years is because I have to move for work. I would've never thought I'd visit an old gym on work trips or vacations, but this one I definitely will.

Although they billed for 2 sessions. There were no clocks or calendars provided in rooms so it is very easy for patients to get confused. They only provided 1 dose of medication at discharge so we had to go through a lot of stress to get the dose for the next morning. The only medication my sister was taking was for seizures (very important) so we had to spend hours trying to get more meds (on a Friday night). To add insult to injury , my sister was discharged on Oct 3rd. We only received a phone call from Home Health on October 25th. Home health stated they received referral October 23rd. That's unacceptable!
