LONG REVIEW ALERT: This is a new establishment that was in the previous red tails location. On the menu it is classified as southern creole. Pros: We had a decently sized party of 8 and they accommodated us even though the entire bar side was reserved for a group. The appetizers were delicious especially the grilled oysters ( nice). My family also liked the fried green tomato's and deviled eggs. My cat fish and grits entree was delicious with crispy well seasoned cat fish bites and savory grits with a nice consistency. We also had dessert. The beignets were VERY good. I loved them with or without the strawberry mix. The sweet potato cheesecake was also good. The DJ was playing some nice r&b and hip hop tunes I like the decor. The colors were calming and the tables and booths were configured nicely with room to move about. It was cozy. Now for the cons which I believe is probably just growing pains. They just opened three days ago. Cons: It took a while to get our drinks and appetizers especially the grilled oyster appetizer. In my opinion appetizers should come out at least within 20 minutes of you ordering them and the oysters took close to 30 minutes. The entrees also took a long time to come out. Some of us who ordered a grits meal ( shrimp and grits or cat fish and grits) were done with our meals before others even received theirs. You have to time a table's meal prepping so everyone's meals come out around the same time give or take 5 minutes. My meal the cat fish and grits could have came with more cat fish. I would have appreciated a whole large filet and not bites. There was an issue with one of the desserts and the waitress picked it up and replaced it with a new one but there was no I'm sorry or offer to give us a new one for free ( I'm not a give me a discount person but this warranted it). Also why did I room for dessert? Usually after I eat out I have no room for dessert. I'm stuffed. if I order dessert it is usually to eat later at home. I had room because the entries were small. They look decently sized but they are not filling. Such as the small amount of fish I had in my dish and shallow bowls. The DJ music was great but it was so loud it was difficult to hear each other at the table. I was wondering if I was in a restaurant or the "CLERB." The price for a party of 8? $599.00. We had 4 appetizers, 8 entrees, 6 desserts and drank mostly water but I did have sparkling water. The menu meal price ranges from teens to 40ish dollars. I didn't think the price was too much considering the food choices and party size but as stated above the entrees could have had more food. That's all for the cons. But... weirdly we asked for larger water glasses. The water came out in small plastic cups. It was as if they were punishing you if you only ordered water. You only got a regular sized glass if you ordered a non water drink and the waitress wouldn't bring us larger glasses. She did offer to bring a pitcher but one of our family members thought it would take up too much space at the table. When the waitress asked if we were ready for the check she looked directly at me the clear elder at the table . For a table of 8 the tip was included in that 599. It was $99 of the $599 dollars. Would I go back again?Probably but not for a while. I'll wait for a few months until they get their meal timing together. I wish them much success.

Kimmmy, Kim, KIM, GIRL! Some of the BEST SERVICE in Waldorf. Her service was prompt, professional…read moreand kind. I love a server who doesn't hover but always checks to see if everything is going well. She def rocked! I have been so excited to get on and share how incredible this place is since we left. My husband asked if I wanted to go back, within the week. This is *UNHEARD* of. I don't know if he has ever loved a restaurant so quickly and so MUCH. He's been craving seafood boils for a few days now, so he suggested we go this afternoon. We went around 3-4pm. The crowd was minimal, but still, there were probably 15-20 tables full. It's a nice sized restaurant , about the size of a "pub"/local dive bar. The hostess was really welcoming (no eye rolling or impatience!!). She greeted us with a smile and a kind gesture and promptly sat us in a booth. The entire restaurant was clean, whimsical and smelled like old bay and garlic. Great art and seafood accoutrements all over the walls and booths The music was 2000s R&B and couldn't have been more perfect. Our server was incredible. We were given two very easy to understand menus and a "basket" of popcorn! It tasted like movie theater popcorn , our cups which were paper cups and a paper table cloth which lent to the "crab house" vibe we love so much, "seafood sauce" (mayo based siracha sauce think, with old bay? - it's like a spiced Big Mac sauce), clarified butter, cocktail sauce, gloves, a garbage pail, crab cracker tools and plastic silverware, and wet wipes and bibs (which I used because of course I visited in a white shirt!) After no more than a 10-15 minute wait, we had our boils "Rocked and Tossed" right to the table!! Seasoning 100% covered everything!! We ordered: Freshly brewed, 1/2&1/2 sweet/unsweetened tea. (It was very reminiscent of Chick-Fil-A tea/McDonald's tea...the good kind!) Not overly iced. So delicious!! Husband: 1 combo boil with snow crab legs, sausage and extra corn, (comes with corn and potatoes), garlic seasoning and medium heat. His garlic sauce smelled to die for. Very well rounded, (I tasted it). It had sliced garlic in it and wasn't too salty at all. The medium heat wasn't too hot, but don't take my word for it, get the heat level you like. His crab legs pulled *perfectly*. The sausage was wonderfully Smokey with that crispy/crunchy edge. The corn was tender and juicy, not overly cooked and the potatoes melted like butter. Me: 1 combo boil with snow crabs and crawfish and added hard boiled eggs (also comes with corn and potatoes), "Rocking Bomb" seasoning (old bay, garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun). *I have never had crawfish THIS good in my entire life.* I genuinely cannot describe the euphoria I had with words, but I'll try. They weren't muddy/fishy. They absorbed the flavors so well, yet preserved the firm but tender texture of the meat. They were very easy to break into, just like the crab legs. Nothing got stuck or jammed. The eggs were a balanced addition, soaking up all that awesome flavor. I ate one half way through and the second at the end. Again, nothing was abnormally fishy. Seafood can, at times, taste a little too oceanic. Everything came out piping hot, but not so hot you couldn't tear right into it. Both boils were nice and buttery. We tried using the gloves but ended up tossing them. They have sinks right in the open so it is easy to get up and wash up if you get too messy. (The bathrooms are on the smaller side - with the women being two stalls, and I didn't see any others, so the extra sinks really come in handy). There was a very kind gentleman bussing tables. He was fast and thorough. He was very pleasant to us as we walked by him. Very courteous!!! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Literally nothing was bad. I cannot wait to go back and hope they stay in business for a millennia to come. I believe we found THE best seafood boil restaurant in all of Maryland!!

As I started to eat, I noticed I only received 1 cluster and a 2 tiny loose legs in the bag. When I brought it to the server's attention, the manager came over and tried to tell me that the 2 small loose legs counted as a second cluster. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and making it right, she went back and forth with me in front of my 6-year-old child while attempting to put her finger in my bag to count the 2 little loose legs out to me. I've been coming here for over a year, and I have never received 1 cluster and a 2 tiny legs that would count as a full pound. A full pound should come with 2 full clusters. The customer service and professionalism during this situation were very disappointing. I usually never complain but I felt this was much needed. Unfortunately, this experience has made me decide not to return. Rock and Toss just lost a loyal customer. Don't come here unless you want to get less than what you paid for!

Not returning due to the indifference of the entire staff. Ruined the meal, made us feel very uncomfortable. 9/13/26 @ 2:30 pm, table of 6. The space itself is huge and they do a lot of hosting for bands which I'm sure is a good time. The bar is a wrap around seating at least 20-30 and at the time of our arrival the bar was full and the main seating area only had one occupied table. The inside is lowly lit and the music was great, definitely a vibe in there and I can understand how despite their reviews they have a solid patron base. We ordered: Strawberry Lemon Drop - 10/10 no notes Calamari - 8/10 - great texture but a small portion at that price point. I prefer mine with a remoulade and they only serve it with sweet chili sauce. They had remoulade with the catfish nuggets but when I asked the waitress she said remoulade was the salad. When I tried to explain that no it was a sauce she just said they didn't have it......ok. Deviled eggs with crab - 8/10 - they were ok. The eggs were a little overcooked to my liking but they were horrible. Wings - 10/10 - sweet and spicy, great crunch. Crabbed stuffed salmon - 6/10 - came with two sides and he got rice and spinach. It was just ok but at $42 you wanted it to wow you. There is an automatic 18% gratuity regardless your party size so that's something to look out for. Overall it was a bit overpriced to my liking for a location that's not more like a local bar than anything. I would definitely come back for more wings and Backyard but might opt for the bar instead.

Shortly after she walked up on my date aggressively talking bout we were about the run out on the table and had an attitude. It was a $40 tab for fried shrimp and 1 drink. Keep in mind we were brought the food in 5 mins but the waitress disappeared and we never got water or the drink. After searching for her I decided to go to the bar and retrieve it myself. Bad service overall, and then this? Make it make sense! Later I approached her about it but received more attitude. The more she spoke the more disrespectful her tone and breath became. I couldn't take it anymore. We graciously paid and left an hour before the party and ended. Please train your staff better and put some policies in place so there's no room for such errors in the future for other guests. She killed the vibe, even the GM apologized for her. We have to do better - if we want better in these spaces.

The restaurant has the typical crab house setup with brown paper covering the tables, and everything was spaced out nicely. We decided to sit at the bar, which is fairly small. I'd estimate there are only about eight bar stools. For drinks, I had two Moscow Mules, and my friend ordered two Lemon Drops. Both were good, especially for happy hour, and the prices were reasonable. The only food we ordered was the fried calamari, which came served in a small boat tray. The bartender also handed us plain white paper plates.... the same disposable plates you can buy at walmart. I'm definitely not someone who expects fine dining at a crab spot, but it felt a little lazy. Most seafood restaurants at least use branded paper trays or sturdier disposable plates that fit the experience. I completely understand that restaurants are dealing with rising costs, but this small detail took away from the overall presentation. Since we only ordered an appetizer, I can't fairly comment on the rest of the menu. However, I noticed several tables enjoying steamed crabs, while most of the people sitting at the bar had fried seafood platters with shrimp, fries, and hush puppies. Everyone seemed happy with their meals, so that's always a good sign. I did make a trip to the restroom, and while it was clean enough, the stall door was difficult to close and lock properly. I actually had to hold the door shut while using the restroom, which is something I hope they fix soon. We ended up staying for about two hours, and the atmosphere was relaxed and easygoing. Another plus is the large parking lot, which made parking convenient. Overall, Crab Boat was just okay. The happy hour prices were good, the drinks did the job, and the service was fine. I don't see myself going out of my way to return, but if I were in the area and wanted to grab a reasonably priced drink or it was one of the only available options, I wouldn't mind stopping in again.

I asked him to help me cater a BBQ for 50+ people. 1.) He provided me with an initial tasting. 2.) He offered to roll the costs of tables, chairs, and chaffing dishes into his fee, which was very convenient for me! He even offered to come the day before to help setup. 3.) I asked for a second tasting to fine tune the menu Items I was having for the BBQ he stated that he would cook the chicken on site the day of... I explained to him that BBQing chicken on the grill takes SKILL and that I prefer the chicken be baked, or parboiled and then placed on the grill. He assured me that wasn't necessary. Here's what I asked for, and what I got: I ASKED FOR: I told him that I did NOT want chicken or any meat in my pasta salad and wanted it to be a veggie pasta salad. I also requested that the HUGE pieces of cheese that he put in the pasta salad either be left out or cut smaller or replaced with a less dry cheese WHAT I GOT A "Veggie Pasta Salad" with chicken and HUGE pieces of cheese...after my vegetarian friends found meat in the pasta. I ASKED FOR: General Tso Wings and Medium Spicy Jerk Wings WHAT I GOT: Wings that looked the exactly the same and were under cooked and had to be put back on the grill and into the oven the next day. (RAW WINGS ON THE GRILL MEANS UNDER COOKED INSIDE AND OVERCOOKED OUTSIDE. I ASKED FOR: Nice hamburgers...I SPECIFICALLY SAID I did not want the cheap thin hamburgers WHAT I GOT: A big pile of cheap thin flying disk hamburgers that were dry. The deviled eggs were completely doused in paprika and were not served to the guests and remained in the fridge until someone asked about them...the same for the fruit salad that looks like it prepared days in advance and not fresh. After the food was setup we were spinning around digging through the dishwasher looking for serving utensils because the caterer that I paid 4 figures to did not bring serving utensils. THE MAIN ISSUE HERE I am a small business owner myself...I called Mr. Chase and asked to meet with him to talk about how the event went. I texted him not less than SIX TIMES and each time he would give me a date and then either not respond or came up with a reason not to meet. I am assuming this is because he is aware that the event did not go to plan. He has avoided speaking with me (see photos) and THAT is the sign of bad business practices. I even had a church that wished to hire him and still never responded. A business like this survives off of word of mouth and referrals. I was hoping that general feedback and a conversation would provide some encouragement and opportunity for growth. This is apparently something that Mr. Chase is not interested in. My suggestion: PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

While the service was pleasant, the strict policies and unwillingness to make reasonable adjustments left me with a disappointing experience. I am not one to say this but I do not recommend this place at ALL. In response to owner: Thank you for the quick reply. I appreciate that you chose not to charge me a waste fee. However, I would like to clarify that this was only my second sauce selection change. My goal was simply to order something without sauce so I could enjoy the remainder of my 90-minute dining experience. Unfortunately, the meal did not meet my expectations and, in my opinion, was not worth the price. As a customer, I believe there should be more flexibility when someone is dissatisfied with an item, especially when reasonable alternatives are available. There are several other restaurants that offer similar dining experiences at a lower price point and without what I feel is an excessive gratuity charge. While I appreciate your response, the overall experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return.
