We had fish, shrimp, macaroni and cheese, greens cabbage and cornbread. The food was good. I added salt & protocol the Mac & cheese & vinegar & hot sauce to the greens. The portions aren't very big. My husband had 2 pieces of whiting and they seemed small to me. But my portion was good. My Italian ice was delicious.

The greens seemed to be canned but the chef did a good job of enhancing them to remove much of the canned taste. The macaroni and cheese was well seasoned and it was made "in house", however it was very difficult to find whole noodles within my serving. The macaroni was very broken up and left me feeling like I was eating just clumps of cheese. The honey lemon ginger iced tea was outstanding! The chocolate cake was not homemade and was just ok. I had to think long and hard about this review because I continue to want to see this business succeed in the neighborhood. I strongly believe that when I go out to eat, the food purchased should be something exceptional. There are many positive things about the service and care apparent when you enter the establishment, but the food is hit or miss for me at this time.

There is no way that I would be able to use the card. They said they would not refund my money but would have the owner call me to discuss. I never received a call.
