Would not recommend terrible service. Pool is rarely open and staff unable to communicate proficiently. Please get this place some help.

Small boutique hotel in the town of Monroe. I came here for a business trip and chose to stay here…read moresince it was close to the office and still very comparable in price. Upon arriving, there's no one at check in. They leave your name and room key in an envelope at the front desk. I guess I'm not use to this, but it was late and I just wanted to get into my room. I had a room on the 2nd floor. It was great and very comfortable. Lots of space for 1 person. The room had a mini fridge that had several water bottles, sodas, fruit, yogurt. It was very accommodating that they provided that for their guest. One evening it was raining and I was caught in the rain.. my clothes were drenched and I decided to do laundry. It was very easy to use and I found it super convenient. I loved Hotel Sterling and will probably be back when I'm in town again.

We arrived at around 5pm on Sunday, Sept 1st. The reservation system was a breeze and a joy. The…read moreemail contained the door code. On the desk was our envelope with our key. We heard people later on that night coming and going, but never saw another soul. We had the curb-side room since my wife was on crutches. The parking is great and free. The service, while almost invisible is excellent. The rooms are outstanding. The price is reasonable. The in room refreshments are free. I only wish we could stay here more often. My one complaint has little to do with the hotel. Downtown Monroe isn't doing great and some of the shops and eateries nearest walking distance were closed. But it's Monroe. You can drive across town in 5 minutes.

Can I just tell you how overpriced this place is? Chances are, if you're in Dundee, you're taking…read moreyour children to Splash Universe. Due to this, I am not sure why i had to pay over $200 for a room PLUS the outrageous fee for "water park" entry. In any other hotel/water park combo's that I have visited, your hotel comes with the entry in one bundle... and I have been to much better combo's for less money. The water in the splash park was SO cold we could only stay in for 15 minutes before my daughters' lips turned blue. Total waste of money! All night long children were running through the halls, even playing ding dong ditch. The guests directly upstairs sounded like a herd of elephants ALL NIGHT LONG. I came with a 1 year old and a 3 year old and none of us slept throughout the night. I called the office about it but it continued throughout the night/early morning. I was NOT a happy camper despite the potential of this place to be a fun family outing.

I give 2 stars only because my boys, 3 and 6, enjoyed playing in the waterpark, and the room was…read morebig enough for the four of us. There was nothing else about this hotel and waterpark was even average. I have never had such consistently poor service from any other vacation-type destination. Check-in is woefully understaffed and results in lines. We had to have our room key remade twice because it stopped working... There was a ten minute wait at the front desk both times. The in-house restaurant is where we found the worst service. It was as though they were surprised to see guests, and after our experience, I see why. We ate dinner there and waited to place our order, waited for drinks, burgers were overcooked, and all three burgers were gone by the time the mustard we requested made it to the table. We made the mistake of eating at the breakfast buffet the next morning. We waited 25 minutes to be seated, while staring at several (not sure if it was 4 or 5) empty tables the entire time. Once seated, it was another 20 minutes before anyone stopped to take a drink order, and then another 10 minutes before we received our bill. My family will never return to this location.

Carleton Hotel Bar…read more What can be said about the Carleton Hotel Bar that cannot too be said about our lord and savor jesus Christ. The Carleton Hotel Bar is a place for families. It is a place for friends. Carleton Hotel Bar is where you come in as a stranger and leave knowing where your new home is. The Carleton Hotel Bar sits softly in the middle of downtown Carleton. A place where I grew up and was taught as young boy that only the finest of townsfolk attended. Some of my own personal highlights of attending the Carleton Hotel Bar is coming in and being served a beer within 5 - 10 minutes. Just like that, I was having a brew at the Carleton Hotel Bar. TALK ABOUT SERVICE! No seriously, let's talk about it. The service at the Carleton Hotel Bar makes you feel like you are their only customer. Which is most cases is true. Their wait staff looks at you with a deep meaningful glare as you order anything that is cheap because at the core of you is a broken and hopeless person seeking an escape from the tepid realm of existence you call life. The Carleton Hotel Bar also serves food out of a kitchen a contestant on fear factor likely would not enter. But in the wide open cove is a treasure of smells that under the right level of inebriation might allow you to question how low you are willing to go in your exploration of what another human being call food. I once saw a man eating a can of soup with his hands in-between sets on the pool table which is FREE ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS. Can you believe that? Also, check out DJ Manny. He is fresh on the 1's and 2's. Does anyone know what that means by the way? If you do please call my number and we can talk about it. 1-800-273-8255.
