This is a motel in Dixboro. Even if you live in Ann Arbor you may not know that Dixboro is a town and not just a country road. But it's a quaint little town with a cafe, a couple of antique shops, an animal shelter, some houses, and this motel. The motel itself is rather old it seems, but it is very well maintained and continuously upgraded. The bathroom of my room was completely new and the heater was replaced while I was staying there.
I stayed there for 4 weeks and I never had any problems. The lady who runs it is extremely nice, friendly, and helpful...though a little weird. Sh provided a mini-fridge, cleans the rooms, and generally makes sure your stay is comfortable. It's convenient to lots of places because it's not far from Ford Road, 23, and 14. It took me about 15 minutes to get to downtown Ann Arbor. There are super markets and other such things just down Plymouth road at Green Road, so even though it's in the middle of nowhere it's actually close to everything.
I would definitely stay here again if I need to stay around Ann Arbor for a few weeks again. Nothing fancy, but everything I needed (accept internet, and the cell phone signal was sketchy sometimes). read more
