I'm not a Wacoan, but my beloved grandmother is. Today would have been the 77th anniversary between her and my late grandfather. Thing is, I only just got out of the hospital myself yesterday and needed same-day delivery. The website said that tomorrow was the soonest available, so I waited until 9:03am to call. I was greeted over the phone by Diana, who provided such incredible service that at the end of our call I asked if she was the owner because of how well she represented the business. Anyone that knows me knows that I go to the beat of my own drum and have pretty stringent requirements when I have a vision. Well, my grandmother and I are each other's favorite people and I had a particular vision. I told Diana that some cute Baylor girl with perfect handwriting and adorable/clean drawing was to draw a cardinal on the front of the card and that I'd pay for time/tip/research/whatever. I'll not share my whole vision here, of course, but today's $135 arrangement took 24 minutes to describe, refine and confirm from start to finish and that's 100% on me. I haven't seen the arrangement even, but you'll notice from my reviews that once I've found my 5-star spot after shopping around that's where I like to anchor my business. Diana described herself as "just a part-time helper." From my perspective, you're an integral and empathetic hero who helped me communicate with $135 what will be received as $135,000 worth of love on a day when it was needed most. Thank you most sincerely. Side note: my grandmother only uses the best of the best (as do I). Twenty years ago when I heavily depended on her to tell me when to jump and how high, she used to say "Just order ___ some flowers from Baylor Flowers." Sic 'em! I hate to bring the stars down, but unfortunately I was not pleased with the flower arrangement that I purchased. I wanted to send a beautiful flower arrangement to my dear cousin who just had triple bypass surgery in Waco, and I came across Baylor Flowers who had a 5 star average rating and was close to the hospital that my cousin was staying at. I had placed the order online in advance, and had to change the delivery date twice and the location once as my cousin was recovering much quicker than had expected. I would rate their service 5 stars, as they were very accommodating and willing to make the requested changes. After they delivered the flowers to my cousin, they texted me photos of the arrangement per my request. As soon as I received the photos, I thought they had made a mistake. I ordered the "Designer's Choice - Sunrise" and I selected the Classic option for $85. The other options were $65 for Modest and $100 for Lavish. For $85, I was expecting a sizable arrangement with gorgeous flowers. The photos revealed a small-ish arrangement and the flowers were not very striking at all. When I inquired about it, they said the ranunculus (orange round flowers) were premium flowers, so they cost a little more than other flowers. She also said the vase is 5" in diameter and approx 5" tall. To me, that still did not equate to $85. I've ordered many flower arrangements in my time and I know what an $85 arrangement should look like. To me, this appeared to be more of a $35-40 arrangement. Honestly I feel like I could've bought a similar arrangement at a grocery store for half the price. Unfortunately I would not order from this florist again. read more

I recieved some flowers from my boyfriend from here and they came so wilted. im assuming they were left In a hot car, which its the middle of summer in Texas that should never be done & they should know that as florists. Also my boyfriend wanted this to be a surprise but im guessing that annoyed them as they were extremely rude to him. I ordered flowers for my mom for Mother's Day late (in typical Stephanie fashion). Baylor Flowers offered some of the beautiful arrangements that are available through Teleflora, but actually managed to have lower prices that the Teleflora website (and lower delivery fees!), so I went directly through them. On the Baylor Flowers website, they said the earliest they could deliver was the day after Mother's Day. I sighed, but knew it was my own fault, so I bit the bullet and apologized for the flowers being late on the card. Later that day Baylor Flowers called me and said they really could deliver by Mother's Day, they just hadn't wanted to commit to too much online. So they moved up the delivery date with no additional fee, and modified the note to my mom to reflect it. They also offered to modify the arrangement based on other notes to my mom in the card (which I declined). Anyway, mom was really excited when she got them, and when she sent me a picture they looked just like the advertised arrangement. The flowers also looked healthy and full, unlike other online-associated arrangements that I've sent in the past (looking at YOU 1800flowers and Proflowers....). Wow!!! I ordered flowers for my daughter's birthday. The woman I spoke to on the phone was friendly and courteous. They were delivered by 10am (I ordered the day before). I had a disappointing experience at Mother's Day. I requested the florist call to make sure someone was home to receive the delivery. The delivery man left them outside. My mom mentioned they were wilted and she did her best to revive them. I let the florist know and received a series of email defending the delivery man. I did receive a refund on the $20 delivery fee but honestly this could have easily been avoided. Bottom line, we will be moving our business to a different florist. It's sad because this florist did have some nice arrangements over the years, but the management needs to listen to their customer's needs. read more

Selected flower basket from Baylor Flowers website - photo of the arrangement was posted with description. I paid for flowers three days before my sister's birthday (Mar 24th) and requested that they be delivered mid-morning. This was my sister's first birthday since the loss of our mother and I wanted my sister to have a cheery flower arrangement to try and offset any sad thoughts of mom. I was told it would be no problem to deliver in the morning. 1st problem: Flowers were not delivered until after 12:00. 2nd problem (reason for BBB complaint): The arrangement only vaguely resembled the photo advertised on the website (one yellow butterfly was used, instead of two purple ones as shown in photo to match the purple violets; a lot of ugly moss stuff was used that was not even shown in the web photo; plus smaller arrangement of violets - extremely disappointed!! Before I placed the order, I even asked if the arrangement would "really" look like the website photo, because I liked it a lot. I was assured that it would look "much better than the photo". They were not even close, and I will never spend another dime with Baylor Flowers! read more
