We popped in immediately after grabbing a coffee, so a nice leisurely stroll with coffee in hand was a great way to experience the space. As expected, the store is well laid out, decorated to perfection, flows nicely and outfitted with beautiful pieces of furniture, art and decor. We were able to get lots of ideas to take back home with us, and even scooped up a few candles as well. Prices are as expected, a bit high on certain things, but decently fair throughout. Service was stellar and friendly. The cashier was very kind, spending several minutes giving us the layout of Magnolia, the must-do's and a few recommendations in Waco. The modern farmhouse design is what Joanna Gaines is known for. It's her style and aesthetic. While it's not my style per se, I do like some elements of it and have incorporated it into my home design and decor. I've got an eclectic sense of style and can appreciate the offerings at this shop. The color palette of the store and its furnishings are neutral and timeless. When I'm in Waco and we have extra time, I like walking through and browsing for inspiration and to see what the latest items are out for sale. With that said, a lot of the things sold here and elsewhere on the property are extremely overpriced. You can get ideas here and buy similar elsewhere. But again, I don't think the idea of this compound is for the savvy shopper. read more

Gift card for $75 was not valid (bought at King Soopers in Lakewood, CO). I tried to enter it online at the checkout page. Emailed customer service and asked why - I was told the CVV and expiration date on this card CANNOT be used online. wtf. Customer service sent another gift card via email - guess what - code did not work - it is saying I have $0 balance. I am done with this company and their run around. I didn't know what to expect coming here. I was in town, I have a few pieces of furniture I needed and based on advertisements it was a good place to shop. First: the palette is exclusively in the beige family so don't go there if you're looking for something other than that. Second: if you, like me, are trying to reduce how much you're buying from China this is also not a good choice. The pricing was fine for what the quality seems to be but the vast majority of the pieces I looked at were made in China- everything from dishes to napkins to furniture- all from China. Magnolia Home is just an amped-up version of the Magnolia Home line featured at Target with tourist prices. I MEAN CRAZY PRICES. My favorite parts of the store were the live plants. As a plant mom missing her own, these spoke to me. Several staff members walked the salesfloor, none of whom approached to ask if we needed help. Terrible customer service! I received a defective item, contacted customer service through email (the only option available) and was told I could return the item for replacement. I shipped the item back and received an email claiming I would receive a credit, once the item had been received. I reminded the CS rep, that I wanted a replacement, and forwarded the previous message from the representative. I was told that a replacement would be sent within a few days. I waited 17 days and emailed again to CS, who then informed me that they were out of stock. Had I known that the item was unavailable, I would have chosen a different option. This was a time sensitive wedding gift, chosen off of the recipient's registry. Customer Service Representatives are ALL offshore, and there is no accountability, consistency, or concern about customer satisfaction. read more

This store is so beautiful on the inside. Reminded me more of a museum than a home store though, I was almost too afraid to touch anything. I loved everything in there, but save up because to me, everything in there was incredibly expensive. Found some flatware I wanted, but man, things sell so fast in there, it's like vultures. Get here early too or you will have slim pickings. Staff is awesome though, the lady working today, can't remember her name but she was so great and helpful. We purchased plug-in wall sconces from Magnolia home (to give as a requested gift to our daughter). Once received she realized they were not the correct size for the space. The only portion of the fixture that was removed from the box was the shade, everything else was intact in the box. The second box containing a second wall sconce was not even opened. These wall sconces were not returnable per magnolia's policy. This was stated on the website, but given all the online purchases we make every day, It is highly unusual to come across non-returnable or non-store credit items. I missed that these $350 sconces weren't returnable nor available for store credit so that's on me. The poor customer service of having NO return policy that suits the customer is on Magnolia. Especially when it comes to scale, color, product quality - these things sometimes need to be seen in the home. Do not buy from this company if you think your purchase may need to be returned. We are very disappointed in this very one sided policy and needless to say, we will not be purchasing from this home decor company in the future. read more

It's mainly just large home furnishings (beds, couches, tables, etc.). They do have some small decorations too. The part I really liked was the live plants. All the accent plants inside are real and for purchase. They can even be delivered. Almost always furniture stores have fake plants, but not here! They are all labeled and potted. And the store for most friendly service goes to......this store! I spent at least an hour here, walking around the showroom to get ideas and admiring all the beautiful furniture and lighting. I struck up convos with at least four employees and all were super chatty and welcoming. One, Jonathan, even helped me pick out the right pillow combo and throw for my current living room couches. A couple others chatted with me about local food recommendations. I just had such a fun experience overall. Heads up that if you order furniture it'll be shipped to you (no onsite warehouse). Same for plants - they will be shipped at no cost. And their beautiful lamps you see in the showroom aren't yet available to purchase yet. Come here to be inspired! I was ready to move into any room in the showroom - so thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. I also ordered a copy of Joanna's book Homebody so I can continue my journey to be inspired after leaving this store. read more

Buyer Beware!!! I have never left a review before but was so disappointed, I had too! Long time customer very disappointed. Beware, not all items are returnable. My mother bought me two lamps and wasted over $600.00. She bought them for me as a gift and they were super large. Too large to even sit on my nightstands. I tried email and calling several times and was told I could not exchange them for smaller same style. Which I do not understand since return policy said they return for same or similar item. I was told lamps are not exchangeable and that it states that in fine print. I could not find that info but I also explained that my mother who is actually blind gave them to me. I was a "worshipper" of Joanna Gaines from the very beginning. Now I don't even watch her shows. She was the one voice of traditional/transitional decor who did it beautifully and kept it current. Now she is into extremely contemporary overall and her furniture line shows it except for a few token pieces. Honestly this was the stop on our Magnolia journey I was least excited about. This ended up being my absolute favorite alongside Magnolia press. The fall candles were burning and it just felt like home. The store is open and spacious and truly gives you the opportunity to visualize these items in your spaces. The rug display was incredible you could actually look at the entire rug versus a small portion you typically experience elsewhere. I found a couple of furniture pieces I've struggled with finding because nothing ever was the right level of comfortable combined with the wow factor. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Can't wait to come back here another time of year to see what additional designs come out! read more

I purchased the Laine Ivory Rug from Magnolia in March 2020, contacted them 6 months later regarding a quality assurance issue/product defect during the manufacturing process where an adhesive-goo where the twine is glued to the rug-backing is continuously accumulating dirt and makes this grooves of this rug look perpetually dirty and disgusting. I was told by Delaney in their Customer Experience department that their hands were tied, and there was nothing they could do for a return/exchange or repair - even though this is a manufacturing defect. Multiple people have complained about this issue, an a review about it even made it to their website - but since they control what reviews can be seen, I am posting this issue here as warning to the general public. I have spent $200 to get this rug professionally cleaned however the glue could not be removed through rigorous cleaning processes without damage to the entire rug. So I am essentially stuck with a $1000 dirty floor covering. read more

Staff was friendly and store was clean. Definitely a tourist trap. Nothing stood out as unique or anything that I couldn't get anywhere else (looked like items I could find at other stores or items that look similar). Would have bought one of the books had they been signed, but why pay the premium price and lug it home in my luggage when I can buy it Amazon for less and not have to weigh down my luggage? The whole place was underwhelming. The plants on the outdoor tables looked like they were seriously lacking in water. Not much else to really see in the town. Here's my experience in buying the olivia bed from Magnolia home. Ordered July 19- delivered September 22. Unfortunately they failed to mention the order could take 8-10 weeks to ship. Non the less technically on time ish. Product is delivered and setup with white glove service. And we'll. We have mismatching parts. The bed is grey but for some reason we recieved navy blue rails. No problem, so I call support. They tell me I can accept the order and they will send them back with new rails. Ticket is opened. September 22. Customer service says it takes normally 2-3 days for vendor to get back. A week passes. I contact them, they tell me the same thing. Another week passes. Same exact answer. Now here we are 1 month later with the same canned responses. Quite disappointed with this transaction. I would avoid buying furniture from Magnolia like a plague. read more

Not able to actually shop for my home. I wanted to look at rugs and furnishings for my newly remodeled home. I was not able to look at anything or ask questions. There too many tourists types with no intention of shopping. The staff was only concerned about me wearing a mask and moving through the store as quickly as possible. Be aware that Magnolia Home offers two kinds of shipping. The free shipping is called contactless and may be preferable during COVID. The furniture ,in a box, is left at the outside threshold of your home. The White glove delivery method costs an extra $149. This method includes coming in to your home to unbox the piece and assemble and remove any shipping materials. This is what I have come to expect of any furniture delivery. Also, be aware that all furniture items will be drop-shipped from an outside vendor by an outside shipper--not by Magnolia. For instance, the Timothy chair comes through Four Hands from China and is shipped by American West or any of its partners. Obviously, I was very disappointed by not being told anything about their "free delivery" when I bought furniture inside the Waco Magnolia Home. Being a tourist destination and gift shop does not make Magnolia Home a reputable and consumer friendly furniture store. read more
