We didn't even get to go in the store because they made us leave our stroller at the front! No greeting, just told us we couldn't bring it in. Was very very disappointed with the service at this place. We came in the door with our 18 month old in a stroller & without greeting us we were told we could not bring a stroller in. I have not been to a store like this that did not allow a stroller. I can not imagine how this can be positive for this business. How can letting an 18 month old run around and get into everything be better than having him in a stroller? Needless to say they lost our business and will not be recommended by us. read more

I'm visiting Waco from out of town, and while frequenting some of the local stores I ran decided to check this store out as we were searching for antique type stores. I must say that I saw some beautiful things from my walk from the door to the counter. I was excited about checking things out, and as we do more times than not, buy some items that I can't get back home in Dallas. I was very disappointed and decided to just leave after I was denied bathroom access. I was told it was out of order and that the closest one was 1.5 miles away. I wonder where the owners and the employees go? Give me a break. I believe this was due to my attire. I was wearing a t-shit, shorts and a hat. Guess my summer outfit had me stereotyped as someone without money. We left and spent plenty with the other nice merchants in Waco. read more

If I could give this minus stars I would. Not only are the employees uncaring and give you zero attention the sister store, Caliente Homes is WORSE! And something is weird there.....no trace of Caliente Homes on Yelp, Facebook or any other business page. If you Google them they pop up with an address and a phone. When you call that number, it rings at Simply Irresistible. When you ask them for the number of Caliente Homes they say they don't have one. If you dig deeper you will discover the Manager of Simply Irresistible, Matt, is the owner of Caliente Homes son!! (But he "doesn't know" how to get a hold of her....???? Why the mystery and what are they hiding from?) I purchased a piece there (Caliente Homes) and asked if she could ship it. She agreed and then shipped a SUBSTANTIAL crystal piece in a very thin box not suited for shipping next door, and certainly not across the country to Seattle! Of course when it arrived it was destroyed. She said it was UPS's fault. After going round and round and round with her (Petra) about the proper way to ship an item, I asked her to ship me another and pack it correctly. Suddenly there were "none available" and "she wouldn't be able to get them again". So, I asked for the manufacturers name to see if I could get it direct or perhaps find someone in Seattle that could order it for me......"I don't give out that information". Why the hell not??? If you're telling me the truth and there are none available then why wouldn't you give me a manufacturer name? Knowing she was lying, I took a shot....what did I have to lose? I called the Waco (Baylor) UPS store and asked a sweet girl (Lahala) to go to Caliente Homes and see if they had the piece. She said YES! Can you believe it? Yes. An angel she is. She went there, found it, (apparently it IS available! There is proof Petra lied to me) bought it , packed it CORRECTLY and shipped it to me. I received it yesterday and could not be happier. Caliente Homes and Simply Irresistible.... NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS, SOMETHING IS FISHY THERE...... read more

This store has a lot of beautiful things and I bought several items. However, they overstock their shelves. When my mother was looking at a piece of jewelry on their counter, there were several glass candles sitting near by. The jewelry stand was very flimsy so when she tried to stop it from falling over, a candle dropped to the floor and broke. The salesgirl said the candle was $30 and she had to pay for it. Accidents will happen when you overfill your counters! And we looked at the candle and it was only $24! After my mother paid for the candle, I returned all of my items. I can't support a business that has such poor customer service. read more

As a Waco local I have always thought this was a wonderful friendly store to shop at. That changed today though. I walked in with my 2 month old in his stroller and was told at the door, before even greeting me "you cannot bring that stroller in here". I simply cannot imagine not being able to bring a stroller into a store to shop. There are many other wonderful stores in town that I will now be spending my money at and that allow strollers to name a few... Lane's on Austin, Honeys Home and Style, Spice, Magnolia and many more! This is my favorite home décor store in Waco. I like that they have some unique and amazing items and that the inventory is always changing. I bought two French confit pots here that I was thrilled about finding, as my husband and I regularly travel to Europe and love all things European but somehow missed finding confit pots in France. Besides home decor and furniture, they also sell clothing, scented candles and other gift items. I have read some of the negative reviews about the customer service. My experience has been that they leave me alone while I shop, but any time I have needed their assistance, they have been friendly and helpful. As far as not allowing strollers inside, the store has tons of merchandise and the place is so full of items that navigating through the store with a stroller could be difficult, also making it more likely that items could be knocked about and broken. However, as a grandmother of two, I understand the frustration. If you take little ones, just be prepared to either carry them through the store or keep them close and hold hands. While it may not be an ideal situation, you don't want to miss seeing what this store has to offer. read more
