Update: The assistant manager, Vance, reached out to me and asked what happened with my experience and if I would come in to give him a chance to assist. He was extremely helpful and we ended up purchasing a back door from him. Vance also took the time to discuss the process Tri-Supply uses to produce/order doors. Because they do construction in-house, it makes getting your a door a month shorter than if you purchase through Lowe's. We do plan to use Tri-Supply if we purchase a front door as well. read more

I cannot in good conscience recommend Tri Supply to anyone for any reason. Our experience with them was an absolute nightmare from start to finish, and it's astounding to me that a company can function with this level of incompetence and carelessness. We purchased a $1,300 custom back door from Tri Supply because our home was brand new, and the builder had already used Tri Supply for the existing doors. They had all the specifications and exact measurements, so this should have been a simple transaction. We met with Catherine, who placed the order for us since we wanted to replace our full-length glass back door with one that could accommodate a dog door. The first door arrived a few weeks later. After taking apart our original door, removing all the hardware, and preparing to install the new one, we discovered it was a foot too short. A glaring but forgivable mistake. Catherine apologized, admitted the error, and assured us she would fix it. The incorrect door was picked up the next day, and we waited another week and a half for the replacement. When it arrived, it looked correct, so we once again went through the painstaking process of removing and reinstalling hardware on a nine-foot solid door--only to discover that this one was 3/16 of an inch too wide, making it impossible to fit. Handling and rehanging a massive, heavy door like that is no small task, and the level of frustration we felt cannot be overstated. I am a disabled veteran with back issues so this was a tall order, quite literally. We reached out to Catherine again, stayed polite and patient, and asked for someone to come measure the door properly. Instead, we were told to measure it ourselves, which we reluctantly did. Tri Supply then instructed us to leave the door on our front porch for pickup. It sat there for five days before they finally retrieved it, despite multiple calls from us. Another week and a half passed before the next door arrived. By this point, we were beyond exhausted with the ordeal. This door finally seemed to fit--but it was damaged. It had scratches, scrapes, scuffs, and even footprints on it, as if it had been dragged across concrete and treated with complete disregard. This was the final insult in a process defined by delays, negligence, and incompetence. While the door eventually fit, the entire experience was an infuriating lesson in how a company can fail its customers at every step. Tri Supply demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism, accountability, and care for both their products and their customers. If you value your time, your money, or your sanity, avoid this company at all costs. Only consider them if you have no other options and are prepared for weeks of frustration, repeated mistakes, and careless handling of your property. read more

Ordered 7 pre hung composite doors and it was a big disappointment all round. On the work front, the quality of milling and glass install was just awful: big gaps between glass and trim, unneeded routing, wrong sills, wrong astragals, way too late. Went there because of the good reviews, but regret the decision. Many thousands of dollars went into fixing up what they delivered. On the service side, Mollie is the point person for them in Austin when it comes to doors. I had read poor reviews about her and unfortunately I can only concur. I bought a Speed Queen washer/dryer set, which I absolutely (normally) love, at Tri-Supply last year, but on this cold and wintry day the washer decided to "brain freeze." Grrrrr. I figured it was under warranty, so I called Tri-Supply's front desk, explained my predicament and was quickly patched through to the service department. I don't hold out hope for most service departments these days, so I was thrilled when Catherine helped me out. So professional. So cheerful. This is a well kept store with a great selection of lighting, patio furniture, appliances, pottery, doors, barbecue grills and more. I was really impressed with the selection and quality of the products. The staff are friendly and asked us a few times if we were ok and if we needed any help. I just wish I could afford the stuff. I was looking for patio furniture but it was all so expensive. Maybe that's normal but I don't know because this is the first time I ever started shopping for that. There were quite a few things I would have liked to purchase but didn't want to spend that much money. If price is not an issue for you then you will like this place. read more

UPDATE: So I called them and Vance called me back. Offered to get me a new door and also pick up the door Mon morning and delivery back to me that afternoon. I was headed in to town Fri afternoon anyway, so I took the door into them myself. If they're gonna work with me, I'll work with them. And when I got home from work Mon night, the door was delivered sitting in my front entryway as promised. Hung it that night and this time the cuts were right. Job is done, they made a terrible job right. Only 4 stars because it was a pita. They still have my business. read more

Quality control is lacking. On our first order/delivery both doors had obvious damage. They should not have been loaded on the delivery truck. They sent replacement door slabs a few weeks later, but did not offer to perform the reinstallation. The new slabs were sent out as stainable fiberglass, but the window trim was not stainable which does not match the other doors we ordered. But it doesn't stop there. Out of the other three doors we ordered (stainable fiberglass) only one had the stainable trim. Several weeks later they sent a crew to change out the trim to stainable, but only sent enough for one door. We asked the service tech why he did not bring the trim for all the doors and he did not know and did not attempt/offer to find out why. Told us we needed to follow up. So here we are another three weeks gone by and we still have two doors without stainable trim. Their customer service/follow up is terrible. Hopefully they do the right thing and make it right. read more

Wowza...what a store!!! Remodeling an entire house and this place is going to be our construction salvation. One stop shop. Can't walk through the front door that we don't spend hours finding exactly ( and sometimes) more than we need. Everyone is so helpful. Kelly and Misty bend over backwards making sure we have all the info, prices, etc we need to make a good decision. We would never be able to accomplish this huge undertaking without them. Such a small hometown feel of a store with all managers and sales staff so friendly and professional and helpful. They have the best fire place install equipment in this area and lists of each kit and individual part. The guys have been helpful when I made purchases and I like the store. They can probably do better than Chris Campbell as an employee but other than that I am impressed. read more

See Corey the sales person he helped pick 2 new ceiling fans for my house. We had 2 ceiling fans 21 years old going out. I went in with pictures and they had no where near what I owned, but Corey looked and listened to everything I wanted, and took me to 1 fan, I looked at all of them, but came back to this one that he picked. We had them put in today with our local electrician and they are fantastic, now I want to replace all of them in my house. Corey also when I told him about the drop down of the fans from the ceiling said no problem we sell extensions to 12", oh my goodness, and the electrical person that put them in said this was good bc not so good what was general in the box, so the dropdown rods were needed. Also great pricing on all ceiling fans. Love this place, miss the one in Waco. They were the same price as Lowe's, but they don't have a sales person like Corey at Lowe's to help you. I am super hard to please, but these are awesome fans, and Corey the sales person is the person you want to see bc he is really good at taking time and giving you information, and super good at listening-love this guy. read more

They supplied all the lighting for my home. Including remote operated ceiling fan. I had one remote quit working. Mr Hutchins a manager there went out of his way to help me and get my issue resolved. The staff has always stepped up to be informative and helpful. But the manager came over and helped! I didn't know he was the manager, he just jumped in and helped! Awful experience. Ordered lights and was told they would be in on Friday and then received a phone call Friday morning stating that they won't be in until the following Tuesday. Spoke to the manager and was told they weren't ordered until Wednesday and delivery on Tuesday would fall between the 5-7 Day time span they typically give even though we have an email stating they would be delivered sooner. Confused as to why they weren't ordered until Wednesday when they took and processed payment the day prior. Very poor customer service. If you are on a schedule, don't depend on this store to fulfill your needs. read more

Best shopping experience anywhere. We went in today to have some special doors made to replace the original doors on our old house. We met with Vance and within seconds we were so impressed with him. He guided us thru the process, made all the measurements, completed the transaction and we were on our way. One hour later we went back and placed an order for another door, did some other shopping and looking and were so taken with the friendly, helpful staff. We recommend Tri-Supply to everyone.
