Coolest place in town for the unusual!!! pricing is good and I can always find something I love.

Yeah! Finally made it to waco during a Laverty's sale. Got a parking spot as someone was leaving. Many rooms to peruse. Organized by categories which makes it nice to shop-especially if you're looking for something particular. (If not, you'll spend some time browsing) larger architectural things out back. I managed to stock up on some vintage photo's. Stock is ever changing as owners shop constantly. Be sure to check Facebook for upcoming sales as they are not open daily. read more

I purchased some very cut decorative items here and will definitely come back! The store is only open ONE WEEKEND PER MONTH so be sure to find out which weekend that is before driving from out of town. The owner spends the month purchasing items and getting set up for the monthly sale and she does a fantastic job! read more

Laverty's is a hot spot when it is open. It was my first time and I wasn't expecting all the customers that KNOW it's a hot spot. So while I wanted to look around and then make a decision on what I wanted to buy... they were buying! As I made my way through a second time, the things I considered buying were gone! So if you want it grab it. If it's too big... wait by it til a worker comes into the room. I'm still processing my loss. But in an Excited to return to Laverty's sort of way. read more

I love Laverty's. My whole family waits with anticipation for notification that they will be open. You never know what you will find. I can guarantee you will find something you might not have known you couldn't live without. Super friendly staff and owners. Don't pay attention to the Negative Nellie's who have never had the pleasure to shop here. They're in town for one reason only and just don't know what they are missing. read more

Lavertys sucks. Never fails. Every single time I try to go, they're closed. I even showed up one day when the OWNER was there, and she wouldn't let me look around because they weren't listed as open. What. exactly are your hours?? Oh, you don't HAVE any listed hours . Excuse me, my bad. . . I thought you might actually want to sell something, make a profit you know? guess not. I was mistaken in thinking this was an actual business. Even if they say they're open, I wouldn't bet on it. They'll probably be there (the owners) and still say they're closed. read more

They don't post their hours and never seem to be opened. Ugh! I was in Waco for just the weekend and never got to see anything here. I know this is a favorite for Joanna Gaines, but she obviously gets special treatment. They definitely don't capitalize on her advertising read more

It is what it is: an antique/ vintage shop. There are some good finds, but there is some searching required. Prices are great! I live in Austin, but I make sure and check it out when I am in town. I have gotten dishes, a desk, bookshelf, windows and window panes, and too many owls from here over the years. Tip: they are not open as much anymore, I am on the email list so I know what weekends they will be open. If you aren't I would just suggest calling. You can also make appointments. read more

I love this place.. try to stop by once or twice a month to see what they have. Most things are reasonably priced... I've bought some bookcases and some little shelf items - all have been great additions to my home. I suppose it's all a bit disorganized, but that's part of the charm. I'd much rather buy used furniture here, than buy pressed plywood furniture at Target. read more

Never open!! Me and four other people/ cars tried to go there this morning at 10:30 AM and it was closed!! How can you run a business if you're always closed!! They're losing out on a lot of business/ money by not being open!!! Don't waste your time traveling here. Lost cause and wasted time. read more

There is a secret this place! One of the antique dealers in town told me that they only open once a quarter for two or three days. They call dealers who signed up to come when they are open. I found out the date by calling them and showed up. Oh my!! Trailers and trucks everywhere backed up to buy. People were crowded inside and stuff was flying out the door. Even hors d'oeuvres. The most amazing collection of stuff all beautifully displayed. There are five or six helpers but help you purchase and get the things out to your car or truck. Prices are very reasonable and good quality too. Look at the past displays photographed On their Facebook page. It is worth getting on their phone list Or finding out their next opening on Facebook Or when you are in the store. I was frustrated too when I would drive-by and see they were closed. Sometimes I could see somebody inside and lights were on. Well, they are getting ready for the next sale. Each time they open the merchandise is quite different from previous times depending upon what they have been able to purchase and collect so there's always something brand new to enjoy. read more

Fabulous store. The staff are helpful and friendly. My nephew and I had a great day of shopping. It is always a treat to visit the store

Cool place to go and get affordable vintage junk and antiques. I bought a ton of little knick knacks like really old playing cards, metal stencils, old keys, old photos, old postcards etc. for my art. i even got a couple of old love letters lol I also got a really cool vinatage double reflex lens camera for like $12 and it actually works. Can't beat that. Its definitely a cool place to go and just browse too if you want to kill time. read more

They have been closed for a couple of months (cancer in the family). Had a sign out they they would be open August 15th, 2011 (for 1 week), then will close again for a while (this is just temporary). Believe their plans are to open one week a month (until Mr. Laverty recovers) ... you might want to call before you go for a while if you are driving from a ways away until they get back to their norm. My husband and I have been buying a wide range of collectibles and vintage stuff here for more years than I can remember. Unitl recently, we went by there every other weekend. They are really hospitalble and willing to deal. I have been having "Laverty's withdraw" ... I made it a point to be there today/August 15th; of course I couldn't leave without taking a couple of treasures with me. It's easy to see why they are sort of a vintage store institution in Waco. read more

LOVE this place, it is a must-visit, I always buy awesome things when I drop by and the prices are actually quite reasonable.
