We got several things including the tableside duck tacos, a crazy menu item but it was delicious, as was everything else. Honestly surprised I haven't been back since, I will definitely make a mental note to take someone here. Just saw the "fantasy hour" menu...if the prices are the worry for dinner, go before it ends at 7 and just order a couple things each and try different stuff out, thats what I'm doing next time.

The neo modern interior is stylish and chic. Our group opted for the 10 course Chef's table tasting menu with wine pairings. The Chef's table is in a semi private space right in front of the kitchen, separated from the main dinning room by curtains. It was fun to watch the kitchen in action, but the area felt a bit warm at times. Presentation was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Each dish arrived in uniquely designed serve ware and each wine was presented in a different glass. The ingredients were top-notch, featuring Hokkaido scallops, Wagyu beef, yellowfin tuna, etc. That said, while some dishes highlighted the Indian flavors we were expecting, others leaned more towards American fusion. The wine pairing complemented each dish well and the sommelier provided detailed explanations for each wine. My favorite dishes of the night were the chaat and the lamb chop. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated the quality of the ingredients, the service and presentation. However I wish there's more emphasis on the Indian flavors. Based on the glimpse of the flavors we experienced in some of the courses, I suspect I might enjoy a simple bowl of vindaloo or curry from their regular menu more.

Why 4 stars? Because it was a perfectly fine experience…read more --- --- --- After landing at IAH, I was on the hunt to grab something quick on the way home. I had an alternate plan initially, but timing didn't work out for me, so I perused my bookmarks as I took the parking shuttle to my car and settled on Curry Masala. I called them once I got to my car and was told my order would be ready in about 20 minutes, as my GPS read out that I was 20 minutes from the restaurant. Everything was coming up Milhouse. Because I am a basic B, I ordered chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. It was ready about 3 minutes after I arrived, and off to home I headed. I enjoyed both, but thought the tikka masala was definitely the better of the two, and the wife agreed. We had a favorite Indian spot really close to here that has unfortunately closed down, so I have been on the hunt for a new one. Curry Masala did not quite match that level, but it's not a bad option when in the area.

Cleanliness Service…read more Family friendly Flavor I loved the staff and their attentiveness. But the flavor, seasoning, and execution of the food needs work. If you don't like spicy or seasoned food, this place works for you and you don't need to continue this review. If you do care for those things and you try this place, you might agree that the flavor profile is catering to the demographic of the location that the restaurant is in and not the authenticity of the culture that it should represent. I know of another location, but this is not to take away business for one restaurant, but to help encourage this one to lean more into its authentic flavor. Even if that means moving locations because your demographic may not care for it. I had chicken Biryani (safe for an American) but the chicken was dry and with minimal flavor. The rice lacked flavor. The raita was ok, if you like everything blended together. The onions and lime/lemon you might usually have on the side was not offered with this. Fried cauliflower with chicken 65 seasoning, had a good spice level, but it was soggy.

Then came out for a brief second to take some orders including mine then again off to the back. Later I saw another guy come out of the back to use the restroom. And then another poke his head out to deliver some food. So I guess there are more folks working. Just terribly slow. About 6 people on average waiting for service at any given time throughout our wait. If they could up their staffing that would definitely help. The look of exasperation on folks faces while they waited was more than evident. Our wait was 10 minutes to order and 30 minutes to get the food. Not impressed. But I noticed all the customers (other than us) were ordering boatloads of food. So what can one do. As for the food, we got the butter Marsala which the owner said is butter chicken. And also a side of cheese garlic naan. The naan didn't travel well but I think fresh it would've been fantastic. It is Garlic with a capital G. You can smell it a mile away. And I love garlic by the way. The butter chicken has a great flavor. Not a whole lot of chicken but sufficient for the size I suppose. It comes with flakey white rice.

I meant to take more photos but my family devoured the food before I could think about it…read more Everything here was outstanding and I now have a new favorite Indian restaurant! I came in with my husband and 3 kids (one tween, one picky little kid, one picky toddler). We ordered a lot of food so we could share and try it all. There wasn't a single thing anybody didn't like. Samosa, Chana, paneer masala, lentils, roti, naan, the street food things I can't remember the name of right now, and the fried rice. When I say I could eat here every day and never get bored, I mean it. The menu had a lot of classics we have had before and also had a lot of new things we'd never heard of before. The man working there was very kind and answered all of our questions. He even made some great suggestions which we totally went with. He was also very kind and patient when it took us forever to decide because we have picky kids. The prices are very reasonable for what you get but we spent more than we normally would so we could try more stuff. The paneer masala was the best I've ever had. I'm usually more of a korma fan because the tomato can be bitter but the masala here was creamy and flavorful without any hint of bitterness. It was everybody's favorite. If you go here, let them know what you like and listen to their suggestions, especially if there are things you haven't tried. I almost didn't get the dosa but they recommended it and it was my absolute favorite. This is a tiny little hole-in-the-wall type building and you can't see the seating from the parking lot. There isn't decor on the walls and it looks closed until you walk up to the door but I think they might be remodeling or in the middle of redecorating. The inside is very clean and cozy with a variety of booth and table seating of various sizes. We will be back. Actually, if they don't know who we are in just a couple of months, I'll be surprised.
