So kind of you to finally respond 2 years later but Yes I was part of it. In fact, I was the maid…read moreof honor, cleaning up the emotional turmoil you left my family in. First off, no harassment file happened. Actually, previously she claimed her (very helpful actually) assistant was the one being harassed. So which is it? This owner can't even keep her own lies straight. Actually, perhaps maybe the mother of the bride should have invoked a harassment suit TOWARDS yourself considering you attempted to lie and readjust the seating arrangements last minute (considering my husband had to manage that as one of the ushers) despite the bride and MOB being very clear on their seating arrangement months before whilst she claimed this wasn't discussed and due to trying to change this behind their backs, ultimately led to the MOB having a breakdown before walking her daughter down the aisle. So in turn, of course the bridesmaids were vocal about how the planner was causing MORE emotional distress towards the people who've paid her a lot of money to ensure things run smoothly AND to their request. Two, the bridesmaids telling her to back off of her pushy directions and forcing food out when not everyone even had a seat due to some wedding crashers, is not harassment or being intoxicated. In fact I think most of us were sober, especially since many bridesmaids & groomsmen had kids themselves there they were watching, much of the wedding party was actively doing things FOR the wedding and the couple all day and night to partake in drinks, the others are religious and DON'T drink, I wasn't drinking by choice, AND one bridesmaid was pregnant. So let's not tell lies to justify your lack of professionalism. The bride AND groom locked themselves in for a discussion about the wedding crashers in which you did nothing stop it or anything to help the situation other than antagonize the bridal party whilst we were protecting the bride from further emotional damage caused by you! Not to mention you were only found attempting to take down decorations well before the party was over and stormed out on several occasions leaving the wedding party & the venue coordinator to complete tasks. Also the manager of the Venue has banned you from this venue due to your disorganization; lack of communication, and distress you left the family in. Meanwhile, the venue, Crooked Willow Farms, themselves were so helpful in managing where the planner was sufficiently lacking and even apologized for us experiencing your aggressiveness at every turn. At no point during any of the wedding did anyone from the wedding party get told off for drinking too much or being unruly. Perhaps you were drunk yourself and misremembered this entire event seeing as your claims about this event has been entirely false. You were so awful, we should have sued was for emotional distress but thought it was better to leave an accurate review so other couples can be advised accordingly. Also to note, those other testimony places recommended, the owner is able to DELETE reviews which is why there are so many positive ones there ONLY Yelp allows the truth to come out without restriction. Including mine and several others from this wedding have been deleted on there previously.

The reception area fit everyone easily and no one was crowded. There were areas for guests to explore and it's definitely a cute farm. Surrounded by a lovely garden, the interior of the barn/reception hall/Quonset hut was surprisingly stark and awkwardly decorated with gaudy gold cherubs and wishing wells. This was my only complaint about the venue. The farm owner talked to my party about the history of his farm and it's future development, and the chef socialized with us before dinner was served. The table was set with an endearing assortment of mismatched chargers, plates and flatware and the chef could tell the story of how he personally sourced each. The meal was served family-style: great wide bowls of freshly snipped salad greens and flowers were so thinly veiled by simple vinaigrette that the sweetness of the greens, pepper of the flowers, licorice of the fennel and snap of the stems was the star. Bread served, sourced at a nearby bakery was fresh and perfect to sop up every speck of the thick orangey Romesco sauce that held the grilled eggplant dressed with crunchy breadcrumbs in place. Roasted fingerling potatoes, slightly charred and addictively creamy almost played second fiddle to those seductive eggplant slices. Finally, wedges of an apple tart, dressed with cheddar cheese crisps and a dollop of sour cream was tasty, but did not seem to appeal to the group as it might in a more regionally amicable setting like cheesehead Wisconsin or the eastern seaboard. All in all, a simple, unfussy venue for a small wedding or a group event. The scenery and service could not be friendlier if a bit unrefined. I do hope more book this place in the future!

He wasn't wrong! His whole team was professional and so much fun to be around. The limo picked us up & Angelique (our hostess) educated us about cannabis and terpenes & food pairing with it. Our first stop was at High Country Healing, where Joe (budtender) overwhelmed us with buds, jars & smells! He made us feel so relaxed We stopped at the eatery to meet with our chef and have an appetizer. He was absolutely amazing and food was scrumptious! Next we went to our private wine tasting & pairing with Susanne (Frisco Wine Merchant). Another great fun educated lesson, she was a hoot! Then we went back to the eatery for our delicious entree & dessert. Also, we had the best Fall scenic route. We LOVED everything about it! We would love to do it again!

PoshSplat - POSH..paint and wine studio

    PoshSplat

3 1/2 stars. For our first visit at PoshSplat, my daughter…read moreand I went for "independent studio time" since they did not have any public class during the day on a Friday. We've been to other studios to paint following an instructor, and it was always a lot of fun. This place has a great selection of paintings you can choose from, and then you just copy the one you select, or just do your own. The lady who was in charge of the place that day was friendly, but both my daughter and I very quickly understood that it was better not to change the water where you clean your brushes, or ask for another paper plate (that you use as a palette.) When my daughter asked where she could change her muddy water, she was told that she really did not need to, as the paint should get to the bottom of the pot and the brush would get clean if it stays on the surface. We looked at each other, quite surprised. After a while, I really needed to get some clean water and was told that the lady would do it for me as there is no available sink for the clients. Looking at the paint stains in the bathroom, I doubt this advice is followed by most, but I understand that they want to protect their plumbing and the environment. So after that, since we did not want to bother her, we just painted with brown water (and my daughter never changed hers.) I wonder what happens when an entire class (about 20 people) is asking at some point for fresh water.... I never had that issue at other places, and this was a big surprise and disappointment (that and the fact that you are uncomfortable asking for another paper plate.) I get that they don't want to waste, but you have to keep it reasonable. In the end, we've decided that when we want to paint again, we'll go back to Whimsy in Westminster, where they have a sink in the studio for the clients to use freely, where they give you whatever you need to paint comfortably, and where parking if free and easy. If you want to stay in Boulder though, it's always fun to do one of these session. Drink an extra glass of wine and you won't even bother about rinsing your brushes. Now that's a thought, maybe I should try that next time!

I'm really upset with the experience a friend and I had here the other night for a girl's night…read more First of all, I had assumed, that since this is a wine and painting studio, that the atmosphere would be relaxed and fun. I however, was completely wrong. The instructor on multiple occasions barked orders and "got onto" myself (and other people in the class) for using the wrong brush, putting the brush on the table (instead of on the plate), or using too much paint (or not enough paint). She felt very uptight. To the point that I was becoming anxious about "doing something wrong" and having her say something to me again. I think the worst part of the evening though, was when she came over to my canvas and altered my painting, without my consent. She didn't even ask me, and just put her brush to my painting to "fix" it. I understand I am not an artist however, if I had wanted to purchase a painting made by someone else, then I would have done that. Yet, I paid for a class to be guided on how to paint while sipping wine and having fun. I'm pretty upset that none of that occurred. I was willing to chalk this experience up to just having a bad instructor, but I found out the instructor we had is the owner of the place. I absolutely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone. The instructor/owner made it feel like we were in art school trying to get an art degree. I just went to have fun and paint a picture of some stupid poppies. Yet, I left with anxiety and a headache.
