Is this how a bride should be set up to put on makeup?!
    Kerrie F.

Our son and fiance selected this venue for their wedding, seeing it in the winter. There was an extensive contract and it is not close to anything (hotels....). The woman who manages it has contracts with DJ's and prefers to have her caterer serve at a premium price. But did not speak of that preference and just financially penalizes if the couple tries to keep to a budget using other sources. Because of the location the bride chose to book the venue for the entire day to decorate and dress. How does a bride dress in the building offered without a mirror or sink? And family members present to help are also trying to get fancy without air conditioning or a way to view their make-up? The manager then pressed the fact that no liquor is to be served and didn't like the idea of beer, and adamantly stated all actives must end at 10:30!! FOR A WEDDING, Really?? She also threatened to be present to make sure we didn't relax and enjoy the celebration because she would be looming to make sure we completely cleaned up after. What fun to pick up everything including tables and chairs, ourselves all dressed up! Remember this is a wedding venue. We chose to have the ceremony outside and the grass is loaded with weeds and mud. Brides run to someplace else that wants you, and to not have such a difficult time!

Frog Belly Farm - Tables they had - we purchased our own tablecloths online

In the rental cost, we were given tables (large, round - seated 10), chairs, electricity, fire-based heat, bonfire lighting and care into the evening, yard games, easels, and free roam of the farm itself. We brought our own lights and decorations and strung them around the indoor barn itself - huge space, enough to fit our 100+ guests when it started to sleet (hello, May in Colorado!) We served food from the back of the room and the caterers were given access to the small kitchen in the back to set up what they needed to. They required that we hire a bartender to serve the booze. We brewed our own beer and had the bartender serve that along with cases of wine we brought in. We used their easels to hang our own chalkboard signs. They allowed us to do a rough clean-up the night of and we came back in the morning to finish up. They had two staff members in attendance who tended to the bonfire and didn't allow our drunk friends to fall in. They kind of hid in the background and didn't make themselves known, which was nice. We purchased Spotify Premium and just ran an iPhone into their great sound system for the music for the evening with our perfectly curated list. Saved us tons of money. We started the evening with live music so we had our own PA system and mics to use for toasts - I'm not sure if they would have been able to provide that. Overall it was by far some of the cheapest costs for a gorgeous backdrop of the foothills for our non-Colorado friends - a total "this is where we live" head-toss was involved in introducing the space. We would go again for sure!

Although wedding planning and execution can typically tend to be a stressful and chaotic experience, Pastures of Plenty's warm and authentic approach absolutely mitigated anything even close to that. For that, we cannot thank them enough. We hope others share in a similar experience with Pastures of Plenty in the future. After our initial visit it was easy to see that Lyle was blessed to have found his calling in this life, and it is clearly shown through his passion and tangible output on the farm and in the community. He solidified that notion for us on August 19, 2017.

My wedding was cancelled 3 months before the date and I would hate for that to happen to another bride! Below are the links to the Boulder Country regulations and hearing where the farm was found to be out of compliance on the events they were holding and in permitting of structures on the property. I have also bullet-pointed a couple of the main event compliance points: http://www.bouldercounty.org/property/build/pages/docketdetails.aspx?docid=954 http://www.bouldercounty.org/property/build/docketsdocs/ep150003boccact.pdf - Events are limited to 99 guests or less - All events must end at 9:30pm with music to stop at 9pm (earlier on Sundays) - Only acoustical music is allowed - No DJ's, No amplified bands - Events over 50 people must shuttle all guests to and from the venue (added cost) - Any microphone used for speeches needs to be done by 6:30pm - Restrooms have to be removed because there was no permit so port-o-potties have to be used until re-permitted and rebuilt. Best of luck brides! Claire

As the MOB living in Connecticut, when my daughter let me know that she wanted to get married in…read morethe mountains of Colorado my first thought was panic! How was I going to help her plan a wedding that was not in her hometown in Connecticut? We definitely needed a planner to help. We interviewed several planners and my daughter and now son-in-law felt that Casey was the only one we interviewed that spent the time to get to know them and find out what they wanted in their vision of a wedding verses just telling them all the services they provide. Casey was asking how they met, what they liked to do in their free time and what was the vibe they were going for with the wedding. I felt confident that Casey would help them plan a wedding that was perfect for THEM. I wanted to be included in the planning process and Casey had no problem with this so I would be conferenced in on any calls and looped in on all the emails. Casey was very patient throughout the planning process from the number of site visits she went on to find the perfect venue to answering all the little questions we had. Casey helped us find the perfect venue that fit all the characteristics the B+G explained to her in the initial interview. At first, we signed up for "day of" planning because of expense but added the "full service" planning when we decided the venue we chose would end up being like a destination wedding where no guest lived locally so the whole weekend needed to be planned from Friday through Sunday. I am so glad we did this because Casey stepped right in and helped us with all the details! Casey is very organized and helped keep the B+G on schedule with their tasks so it never seemed overwhelming throughout the whole planning process. She recommended some great vendors! Casey went through each contract to make sure all contracts were good even before forwarding them to me to review and kept me on schedule with payments needed for all vendors so I never missed a payment. Casey was great with communication and would often answer an email on her day off even though I didn't expect an answer right away. I think Casey really excelled with logistics and design so when the time came, the wedding was flawless! All of our guests commented on how well everything came together and how beautiful the wedding was. The weekend of the wedding was amazing, the B+G and I showed up and were allowed to be just guests for the whole weekend! We did not need to worry about a thing because Casey and Jessica handled everything! It turned out better than I could have imagined! I did not find out about a problem that happened during the weekend until after the brunch when my sister let me know that she was having such trouble with the altitude right before the ceremony that Casey got her some oxygen and set her up in a place to see the ceremony where she did not have to walk. I did not even notice that this was going on. There was no doubt that Casey did not want the B+G nor me to be troubled with anything over the weekend and what a joy that was to not have that stress! When first interviewing planners I thought they were, as a whole, expensive and was a little worried with the cost of them, however, I can honestly say Casey and Aspen & Ivy are well worth the expense! Casey, I really enjoyed working with you. I felt that through the process you became more of a friend than vendor we had contracted! We definitely could not have pulled off such a beautiful event without you!

It was a celebration of our 70th birthdays and the completion of the personal goal of hiking all the National Parks. We worked closely with Casey to plan a weekend event that included multiple meals, nightly entertainment and daily activities for 120 people, Casey is extremely organized and kept my husband and I on task by helping with an ongoing list of chores, dates and goals. She gently advised us on everything including, caterers, food, alcohol, flowers, and invitations. During the weekend Casey worked behind the scenes to make sure everything ran perfectly. We were particularly impressed when she was the last one to bed because she was running the vacuum at night to make sure the space was in perfect order for Saturday breakfast. This is the very first time we've ever used a party planner and we are so glad we did. Three months later our friends are still raving about the weekend and how well organized it was. It did help that we had the party at Estes Park on a glorious fall weekend. Casey didn't plan that. If you are planning a wedding, a family reunion, or a birthday party and looking for some an event planner who is organized, well-connected, and at a reasonable price, Pink Diamond Party Events should be your very first call.
