I've known Erica a really long time; she is very detail-oriented and specific in what she likes and doesn't like. And so it was really special to see the trust she and Jarret had in Erin and Allie helping their very specific ideas come to life. They gushed about working with the Brookside team all throughout the planning process and said they felt so lucky to have you guys. As the officiant, the team did such a good job making sure my microphone worked and that I was comfortable with the set up (shout out Kevin!) and that I was shepherded to where I needed to be with humor and care. Truly a wonderful experience from the moment we got there for the rehearsal to the delicious food to the very fun dance floor (thank you Morgan, Dakota, Joelle, Nina, and David for taking care of us, you guys rocked ) I was so lucky to get to be a part of this experience and the phenomenal team at Brookside made sure the night was easy, fun and focused on celebrating the couple instead of lost in the logistics.

While it is industrial space it was cozy and just the right size for our group of ~120. We live in Seattle so planning an event remotely can be challenging, but Rebecca made it very easy for us with her excellent communication and great recommendations for party rentals and bartenders. Day of the event we were able to gain access to the space with plenty of time to set up and be prepared for our guest. We had a Studio staff member on site during our event for any support we needed - she was great! Plenty of parking for guest and a quick Uber (10 min from our hotel). I highly recommend The Studio for an event. We would definitely consider it for another party.

We did pay extra to have the Edison lights put up, (click on the photo to see them) which I recommend. We also used candles in hurricane containers which I also recommend as it gave the event a bit of magic. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are doing a week day event, you cannot get in to do decorating until 4:30p since this is a place of work. It did make our start time of 6p a little tight. We had the event catered but used disposable/compostable products. The kitchen area is open and perfect for a buffet. We also arranged for a Sweet Cow ice cream truck to come for dessert, which was a big hit and fun way to end the evening. I would do another party there given the chance.

It is a bit of a hands on venue, and you have to hire someone to set up your decor or get someone to help, but that was totally fine. We also did our own music and rented their speaker. But comprised of many acres on a river and distinctive rooms make this a great place to visit. We stayed in the largest room with a jacuzzi for Friday and Saturday nights and really enjoyed the larger space. Next time we will likely try a room actually in the main building. Great breakfasts each day with recipes from the owner prepared by the local management team. From our perspective however a disappointment was they are apparently quite popular for wedding receptions that are smallish but otherwise fill the common area room. The disappointment was regular guests couldn't enjoy the real wood fireplace and many treats in the common room during the afternoon. And in the evening the staff went home and the fireplace was no longer lit. There were receptions Friday and Saturday. When you reserve you may want to check on the wedding situation if that is important to you.

While it's only a short drive from the restaurants and shops in downtown Estes, you might as well be a million miles away. The road dead ends at this secluded place, and it's dark and quiet at night. We had a nice evening walk around the property and enjoyed another walk...with elk...the next morning, followed by the included breakfast. The common area has snacks and an espresso machine, which we really appreciated, having arrived late afternoon, and not being inclined to leave for dinner. The whole place is decorated in a decidedly dated style. I know, I know, they're going for Victorian charm, and they've somewhat achieved that; lace tablecloths in the breakfast room, heavy furniture and lots of needlework pillows. Our room had a color scheme that spoke more to the late 1990s than the late 1890s. If you hate that, stay away, especially if you're looking for a place to stage a wedding. Otherwise, a nice place to spend some time away from it all.

The weather that evening was nice, so we had the garage door open which gives such an inviting feel. The string lights that are permanently hung in the warehouse add to this great atmosphere. I have used a variety of venues through the years both for Reintegra and other events and I don't think I have ever worked with a venue management team that was as easy to work with as Kira and Tom. We had our tasting at Grant's farm and it was phenomenal. He made a sampling of apps, main courses/sides for us to try based on the direction we were going in (we wanted to do food with a nod/flare to the South). Once we decided we were going with GB, Claire and Grant did a walk through of our house (we had our wedding & reception at our house) and we talked about high level details for the event. From there Claire and I kept in touch and ironed out any last minute details. She and I were on the phone a day or so prior to our wedding because of rain in the forecast - we discussed our "plan B" action plan. I knew that I had nothing to worry about because they would take care of us :) The morning of the team arrived early to help set up tents and rentals, and prep for the day. We pow-wowed when they got there and I gave Claire all my last minute details, map, decorations, etc. and let her and the team run with it. Everything came out even better then I could have asked for- they definitely have a wonderful aesthetic! I remember after our rehearsal I was running around trying to find paper to write "reserved" signs for our parents. Grant saw me nervously opening cabinets to find the paper and said "What do you need? How can I help?" That stuck with me. I told him what was up and how I couldn't find any paper to make the signs. He offered to rip up an extra menu and make the signs for me and put them out. It was so kind and awesome, I felt like they were all going out of their way to make sure everything was handled and I didn't have to do anything on my wedding day. Okay, now for the food: I can't even tell you how many people came up to me and told me it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everyone was extremely impressed with their food, their service, the layout - everything. I can't say enough great things about GB Culinary, I would highly recommend them to anyone for your next event.
