This place has really great quality massages at prices you can't beat. $35 for a a full hour (20 minutes body, 10 minutes head and neck, 30 minutes feet) is a steal. The methods, order of the massage, and time in each category I've noticed can be inconsistent each time I go, but for the price point you can't complain. Service is very nice, the massage therapists are very understanding of how much pressure to use, and the facility is very clean. It is important to know the therapists will work your entire body thoroughly, which includes massaging your glutes. If you don't want to be touched there just tell them beforehand and I'm sure it would be fine. As a young woman I didn't feel like I was touched inappropriately or for too long in those areas which I appreciated. At one point a therapist did straddle me, which I thought was odd, but was not inappropriate for the stretching he was doing in my back at that time. Over time, there is a slight turnover in staff. Everything is still A+ and I continue to return to this place. But here's an update on staff based on degree of deep tissue you desire: Really deep: Kin (Andy retired). Deep: Max (my favorite). Medium-deep: Danny. Medium: Owen or any of the ladies. Less than deep: Why bother getting a massage? Since the walls are thin plywood, I sometimes hear some people asking for a "happy ending". Please, please, go elsewhere. This is a respectable, professional place with hard-working healers who charge below the going rate (therefore I'm able to give more than 30% tip without feeling I've overpaid). And despite their poor English, doesn't mean you don't treat them with respect. They deserve respect because they're kind and hardworking. read more

At the end of my massage, while I was making the payment, I was asked upfront "how much tip?". I offered 25%, but the lady insisted that I should leave a higher amount. The whole situation was so awkward that I paid what ended up being about 35% in gratuity. My experience was completely ruined, from what could have otherwise been a great massage experience. I did call the owner back to report this - all I got was "sorry". I rated 2 stars because the hot stone portion of my 60 minute body massage service was good. Foot massage is awesome here for American standards but it still lacks the technicalities and emphasis on acupressure points that reflect different body organ system as you would experience in Asia. Nevertheless it's worth the time and price. On the other hand, full body massage is hit or miss, really depending on which masseuse you get. Been going here for a few months now. Female mgr/owner needs some customer service training. Last massage I had a gentleman who chewed his gum so loud I had to tell him to stop. He also was a smoker and the smell of smoke and his smokers cough during my massage wasn't a pleasant experience. I complained to female mgr/owner about her employee. She apologized but didn't offer any type of solution or future discount. She even charged me for the higher priced massage and had to get her husband/owner to show her how to void my transaction. She's not very customer service driven and needs to understand that no one likes the smell of a smoker coughing and chewing gum in your face as you're trying to enjoy a what's supposed to be a peaceful massage. This place is way classier than the location's previous inhabitant (China Spa) -- they took the old location and then added on another suite a few doors down in the same strip mall. The China Spa location now seems to house the full body massages and the 'new' section takes over the standard "big room full of people all being awkwardly beaten," foot reflexology area. This place is way more "relaxing" than China Spa was -- it's not right next to a loud sports bar blasting music and bad karaoke -- there's simply a dark room with a tv playing a slideshow of calming images with some music. $29 gets you foot AND body massage... it's totally worth it to go for the $29 option over the $25 option. A few days after a particularly intense workout, Bay Point was able to provide me with the most comfort I'd had in days (my bad, working out on Friday when my "normal" massages are on Wednesdays, d'oh!). The practitioner was very diligent in attacking the areas where my muscles were crazy tight and I ended up feeling pretty much as good as I normally do. They also offer a "prepay for 10 massages, get two massages free," as well as a stamp card (buy 10 get one, get one free)-- so if you like this place you're rewarded for your continued patronage (which is a fantastic incentive, as far as I'm concerned.) Now that it's getting to the end of my yearly insurance allotment, I'm sure I'll be returning to Bay Point at least a few more times before the end of the year to help weather the storm of not being able to see my normal LMP weekly. Ideally I'd assign 3.5 stars to this place, but I'll round up. I got a solid 60-minute foot massage here and yes, I'll probably return, as I left much more relaxed and I haven't experienced the debilitating foot cramping I'm prone to, not since my foot massage here. There were many terrific aspects of my experience here: -the large, open space room was clean, with multiple massage chair-bed/stations, with a large screen wall-mounted tv at the front depicting nature scenes, with calming music playing. Despite 4 or 5 other people getting massages there when I arrived, the place was super quiet. -the price was right ($25 for a good hour of continuous foot massage) -my masseur was great (I think his name was Jake) -as mentioned, I left feeling great and I haven't experienced any of the cramps that had plagued me since my massage here. The less than ideal aspects of my experience: -I texted the place in advance and was clear I wanted a foot massage only. It was confirmed that I could be seen at a certain time. When I got there, at the exact correct time, they were confused why I was there, who I was, and initially they said there was no appointment available at the time for me. -when I showed the man at the front desk the text thread and went over the text convo and apt confirmation, he finally set me up with Jake. After being seated and all, Jake proceeded to give me a facial/temple massage. I stopped him, saying I only wanted a foot massage. (This was very clear in my text from earlier, when I was setting up the appt). -after the massage, the front desk man said I owed $30 but I pointed out that the foot massage had a listed price of $25. He went to confer with Jake and then relented (although reluctantly) -I had read about a punch card available here and since my foot massage was so relaxing, I had planned on coming back. I asked about said punch card and was told no way, it's only for people who have the foot massage in conjunction with the facial/body massage. (I hadn't read about this exemption anywhere). I left without a punch card. -it wasn't mentioned to me that one could purchase a bunch of massages for a discount rate. From reading all the reviews here, it seems my experience is somewhat inconsistent with those of other patrons. Not sure if I caught them on an off-day, but despite my great foot massage, the rest of my experience (i.e., setting up the appointment, paying for services, trying to get a punch card, etc.) was not great. read more

I used to go to imperial massage in international district but I think this place is much better! The place is really clean and cozy, I got the foot massage with 15 minutes body massage but it was about half-half. The chairs are really nice and their massage is a lot more skilled than the one in Chinatown. Prices are a really good deal here! Towards the end, they did a deep tissue massage on my back which hurt like a bitch but it really loosen up my muscles and I felt like my back was straighter the next day. I ADORE this place. But a caveat to a newbie: this is Chinese foot massage--it is not a "peace, love and patchouli" American spa experience with candles and incense and a massage therapist talking about spirit guides and angels. You have to know that going in--this is a cultural experience. The acupressure foot massage experience will probably be an exceptionally skilled non-English speaker, who will thoroughly attend to every part of your foot, calf, knee area (but they start off with a foot-soak) Then the chair will recline and you will go face-down (with your head in a hole, so you can breath), and you will get a short but effective over-the-clothes massage. Once you have a few of these massages, especially at their price point, you will be hooked!! You might even be tempted to make it a regular Friday night experience. This place does deep tissue like no other! The guy doing my massage almost had me in tears. I pulled a muscle in my neck while there for travel and I was in immense pain. I knew I'd hurt for at least two days after and by day three i was pain free. It was quite an experience. Sitting in a large room with 8 other people. Everyone was fully clothed and the warm foot bath was very relaxing. I did the 30 minute foot massage and 60 minute body massage. This guy knew exactly where I hurt and I didn't say a word to him. The foot massage put me to sleep. Then he worked on my back and my extremely tender neck. It hurt really bad and I really pushed through the pain because I knew I had to for it to get better. If I'm ever in the area again, I will most definitely hit this place up. The best $70 I ever spent on a 90 min massage. That's a deal! read more

Great for price. My therapist Leo was skilled and attentive. He made sure I was comfortable throughout experience. Be sure to let your therapist know what amount of pressure you like. The $25, 60 minute, foot massage can be upgraded to $29 to include neck and back...Well worth $4 increase. The set up is in one large room with about 15 chairs. There was soothing music playing and it was quite when I was there. Do not expect privacy as other therapists and customers are in the room. You don't take off any clothes, just socks & shoes. The body massage however is very hard at times than I am used to and border on painful, but I can handle it! Last time I went here .I got a great worst full body massage. I won't be going back any more. My masseuse did not seem to know what he was doing. He hardly used lotion and focused on my back and butt very unprofessional and uncomfortable. He moved like he was in a hurry. so it was not relaxing at all. Noisy ,public, perverted. My wife and I have visited three times, experiencing a total of 6 massages from 3 masseuses. There is one standout masseuse, Owen I think, but the other two men are rough and disinterested. Firm semi-painful pressure, (I like the pain....I'm weird like that...but am I really?) worked out my kinks (kinks...heh-heh), very well. I felt SO good afterward. But the 2nd time, I had a female massage therapist. I prefer males because they use more firm pressure but I enjoy the touch of a woman. I do. :) So I tried to relax and make the most of her gentle, soft gestures. Didn't work. I really needed some firm pressure. Overall your experience will vary greatly depending on who you have. When driving by, you'll notice there are 2 locations 2 doors away from each other. One of the locations is for reflexology, and the other is for full body massages. The hubby and I went for massages. The therapists we had were really nice. We enjoyed a nice relaxing massage, but felt it wasn't very therapeutic, as we were both still achy from our pre massage issues.
