The cabernet had a 91 rating from the Tasting Panel, but the malbec didn't have a rating, as it was a new item. Seeing how it's made with organic grapes, and malbecs are usually good bottles of wine, I chose the Organic Arbol De Vida Malbec Argentina 2024. Organic Arbol De Vida Malbec Argentina 2024- Lovely bottle of wine. Each sip had berries & plum, plus the pucker from expressive tannins. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I found this particular malbec approachable and non-offensive. However, I'd choose a bottle of bourbon or sake, any day of the week. 1 cent for a bottle of wine? That's cheaper than Boone's Farm! Total Wine wanted to get me nice & toasty on the cheap for my birthday, treating me like a cheap date. Their beer is also local and craft - they also only have a couple, and one's always a pilsner (I've never liked pilsners personally), but the other, when I was there, was a great local lager (also a lot cheaper, at $6.50.) If you're there at a more normal time for more normal coffee shop type products, though they are also great. The first time I was there, I didn't have any coffee drinks, but the second time, I felt like I could use the caffeine, tried their tiramisu latte, which I absolutely recommend. I also had a chocolate croissant with it, which I can also totally recommend. Maybe not as good as the best chocolate croissant I've ever had, but that was also in France. It's a lot cheaper than flying to France.

It was simple, satisfying, and exactly the kind of seafood meal I was hoping for near the beach. I also really liked the atmosphere. It has that relaxed coastal brewpub feel where it's easy to sit down, have a drink, and lose track of time a little bit. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I would've liked to try a few more beers and spend more time there instead of treating it like a quick stop. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and a great spontaneous find. Next time I'm in Long Beach, I'd definitely come back with a little more time to spare.

My favorite thing is describing to him what I like, flavors, to bite, and he will point me to something cool and new I've never even heard of.
