He wasn't like the "Cowboy" surgeons who wanted to perform surgery on me right away. Dr. Quereshi took his time and did every test imaginable at the time to make sure that surgery was the correct option. Keep in mind my L5 had disintegrated to almost nothing and L4 wasn't far behind! The pain was brutal. We all know about the magic pills they were giving out then and I took a ton of them. I am not saying my back is perfect but I can guarantee you that this man saved my life with his skills as a surgeon. I recommend him to anyone suffering with back problems.

I also consulted with another surgeon at a well-known medical group in S CA After seeing both surgeons, I was so impressed with Dr Qureshi's technical knowledge, calm demeanor, presentation and reputation, that I met with him a second time with my husband present. I underwent my laminoplasty and stayed 2 nights at John Muir Medical in Wslnut Creek. The care there was phenomenal. Dr Qureshi is very respected by the staff there and they commented on his abilities and concern for his patients. My surgery went perfectly and my recovery is still moving forward. I only had to wear my c-spine collar for 12 days and my crsys showed perfect placement of the titanium plates/hinges. Thank you Dr Qureshi for all you do and the the manner in which you do it- I highly recommend him, along with his tram at John Muir. His PA, Kelsey, is a phenomenal practitioner as well. God bless you Dr Qureshi, Robin Diamond

Review for Dr. Naidu and Dr. Su…read more Apologies for the delay in writing this review--but my gratitude has only grown with time. Thank you, Dr. Naidu, for truly changing my life. One of the things I appreciated most was how honest and transparent both you and Dr. Su were with my prognosis. Your directness allowed me to make informed decisions without false hope, while still feeling heard and respected. You didn't just prescribe a path--you listened to my concerns and worked with my choices. The main reason I chose to fly from Los Angeles--despite the costly flights and hotel stays--was because you believe in starting with conservative care before jumping to surgery. That meant everything to me. Although Dr. Su thought my lower back MRI showed serious issues, he still agreed to try epidural injections first. Thankfully, I only needed two. Those injections gave me my life back. Before meeting you both, I had been off work for six months. Every provider I saw in L.A. pushed for surgery. As a nurse, I've seen patients come back years later with even more pain after surgery. I know surgical techniques have evolved, but I wasn't ready to take that step without a team I could trust--and I trust you both. Just three weeks after my first injection, I returned to work. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day, and I was finally able to do it again. Thank you--truly. My husband got his wife back. My kids got their mother back. Before treatment, I looked and felt ten years older. Now, I feel like myself again. I had been managing well with just Tylenol and ibuprofen for the occasional mild pain. But I made the mistake of seeing a chiropractor recently, and everything changed. My MD ordered a new MRI, and now both my neck and lower back are flaring up again. So--my next visit with you is already booked for August, flights and hotel included. I'm hopeful once again. Lastly, Dr. Naidu--thank you for fitting me in on my first consultation. When I look back, we laugh now about how I begged you to give me that first injection right away. You told me to be there at 8 a.m. because you had a small gap in your schedule--but what you didn't know is that I was already parked outside your building by 7 a.m. I wasn't going to miss that appointment. Best decision I ever made. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Dr. Su--I'll never forget when you looked at my MRI and said, "Oh no... your back is messed up. The epidural won't give much benefit." You had such a straight face that I thought to myself, Oh no... if he can't help me, I'm in deep sh--. But despite that, you still advocated for me. You spoke to Dr. Naidu, and he gave me a life-changing injection. THANK YOU. Just two injections--and I've been doing well ever since! Please, don't give me that look again when you see my MRI this time. Words alone can't express how grateful I am. Thank you.

The staff has been consistent and responsive - well beyond most Dr. Offices. Previously, I had cervical fusion/decompression surgery and lumbar decompression at UCSF. Every day I wish with all my heart that I'd gone with Dr. Su for those. It's hard not to blame myself because I'm convinced if I'd gone with Dr Su initially I wouldn't be left with cervical chronic pain. Dr Su's approach is to do the most minimal surgery because you can always do more, but can't correct surgery that shouldn't have happened. In my case, this lumbar fusion and reconstruction Dr Su did on November was to correct the first aggressive lumbar decompression at UCSF. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery and feel like I'm getting my life back! Nerve recovery has been difficult and painful, and the staff has been incredible at addressing it. For the first time I feel like I'm part of a team working to heal me. Shout out to PA's Connor and Julie, and Anna and Bruno for back office support. One more thing to consider...the practice consists of several high quality doctors that offer supporting procedures adjacent to surgery.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Onibokun and the entire team at San Jose Neurospine…read more A year ago, I came to Dr. Onibokun suffering from a severe herniated disc in my cervical spine. The chronic neck pain had become absolutely excruciating and was significantly affecting my quality of life. Dr. Onibokun performed a C6-C7 anterior cervical discectomy and total disc arthroplasty using the Mobi-C device, and I can genuinely say the procedure changed my life. One year later, the debilitating neck pain I lived with is completely gone. To wake up and go through my days without that constant pain is something I will never take for granted. From the very beginning, Dr. Onibokun made me feel that I was in incredibly capable hands. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered my questions, and gave me confidence going into what was understandably a very scary experience. His expertise as a surgeon is exceptional, but what stood out just as much was the care and compassion he showed me as his patient. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Onibokun for giving me my quality of life back. There are certain people you encounter in life who make an impact you will never forget, and he is absolutely one of those people for me. I also want to recognize his wonderful staff at San Jose Neurospine. Everyone I interacted with throughout the process was kind, responsive, patient, and supportive. From preparing for surgery through recovery and follow-up care, they made an overwhelming experience feel so much easier and made sure I felt cared for every step of the way. If you are dealing with serious neck or spine issues and are looking for a surgeon you can trust, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Onibokun. I will forever be grateful for his skill, his care, and the incredible outcome of my surgery. Thank you, Dr. Onibokun and the entire San Jose Neurospine team, for everything you did for me. You truly changed my life. - Marina Angelica

Tremors, Tunes, and Triumph: Surviving the Operating Table…read more It's officially been 38 hours since I checked into El Camino Hospital in Mountain View for my C6-C7 disc replacement surgery, and honestly, the whole experience has been surprisingly great. A massive part of that is my surgeon, Dr. Yazeed Gussous. From walking me back from the lobby himself to review my 12-week detailed health log in his AI tool, he has been fantastic. He even coordinates a group text with patients and families for round-the-clock reassurance. Before my surgery, he stopped to learn every technician's name in the OR prep, bonded with us over having Star Wars-named dogs (Chewie, Rey, and Finn), and brought an incredible, personal touch to the process. Going into the operating room blew me away. With nearly 20 people inside, Dr. Gussous introduced every single person by name and role--including Valentino, born on Valentine's Day. Upbeat party music pumped through the speakers as I rolled in, making me feel ready to win a marathon. As I prayed on the table, he grabbed my hand to reassure me, and right after I woke up, he personally fed me applesauce and shared that he had prayed for me, too. The care didn't stop there. My recovery nurse Julie made vulnerable moments feel totally fine, and night nurse Rachel and CNA Samy walked the floor with me at 4:00 AM with radiant, joyful energy. From RNs Liz, Thanh, and Sajita to transporters like Ronald, OT Maureen, and physical therapists sharing stories of motherhood, every single person was a rockstar. Recovery is going smoothly--zero neck or arm pain, just a annoying IVs, a headache, and a bulky neck brace. This journey gave me a deep appreciation for how hard hospital staff work, and how vital it is for patients to partner with them by following instructions and listening to their care teams. I hope you never need spine care, but if you do, Dr. Gussous and his phenomenal team at El Camino Hospital are second to none!

I couldn't stand long enough to cook a meal. Dr. Gussous looked at my MRI and CT scans and projected great confidence that a surgery would help me and I just decided to put myself in his hands. Best decision ever. Three months out and I can walk indefinitely with no discomfort. Just after the surgery, when I was recovering in the hospital, I was having some issues with my blood pressure dropping precipitously whenever I stood up. Dr. Gussous came personally to my bedside and spent about 40 minutes observing what was happening, having me stand and sit, having me walk a short distance in the hallway until he was satisfied that he understood what was going on. An amazing level of personal attention. Even the nurses were surprised. He also arranged for a week in acute rehab where I got a ton of support and instruction to see me through the rest of the recovery at home. I have done a lot of research about this procedure, including lurking around on Facebook groups where people share information about their experiences with this type of surgery. So I know that not everyone has as wonderful an outcome as I have had. I can only feel thankful to Dr. Gussous for performing an excellent surgery on me.

When it was still DVNMG, I was referred to an amazing MD, Dr. Brad Volpi, who was compassionate, kind, and responsive -- a seasoned MD. Thanks to Dr. Volpi's recommended vitamin supplements, rather than medication, I finally found relief from my daily migraines! Who knew that allopathic medical professionals also advocate for naturopathic remedies?! Since Dr. Volpi's retirement in 2018, I had to select a new MD for a follow up, so I chose Dr. Robert Algar. Dr. Algar is knowledgable, respectful, and thorough. It's impressive how he immediately dictates his notes into a microphone during the appointment, so that he does not miss any information. The staff are professional, polite, and efficient. They are always great on the phone, during check in, and at check out.
