Don't be fooled by the reviews posted on this site…read more Charlie, who says is the owner, installed a Heat Pump in my home and it failed 3 months later. I contacted Charlie and explained my situation to him and he took 2 weeks to call me back. Then promised he would come out to take a look l. 3 weeks later Charlie showed up and left his customer service hat at home. He simply turned on the system to verify it didn't work. Didn't check the gas levels or for any leaks. He explained he tool pictures and was sending it to the MFG and would get back to me. He didn't respond for over month and stated he had not heard back from the MFG. The temperature was in the 90's that week and I was tired of waiting, so I called a Licensed HVAC contractor, who came out the same day. He tested the system and found that the system had lost all of its Freon. He then pressure tested the system and found that one of the connectors that was used by Ice Air had failed and leaked all of the gas out of the line. They had stated that a Shark Bite connector had been used on a line and it had separated. The company corrected the problem and refilled the lines. This cost me over $1,500.00 to repair. The repair person also stated that don't be surprised if it happens at another point in the line, the original Installer used shark bites throughout the whole line and it's impossible for him to test the integrity of the connector without pulling them apart. I did contact Charlie to explain the situation and he stated that somebody must have been in our attic that disturbed the line and caused the problem. No one had been in the attic since the installation had been completed. Well, sure enough, the system failed again this week. I did contact the company once again to come check the problem and they had stated that another connector had separated and caused the same problem. I paid another $950 for this assessment and ask them not to do the repair until I contacted Charlie. After contacting Charlie once again, he explained that he could no longer honor any warranty on his equipment because another technician had done work on the system. After explaining that the problem was from the original installation, he continued to tell me that he would still come out, but have to charge me for any repairs. Be warned, don't use this guy. He is a huge problem for contractors and gives a bad name to the HVAC industry. I am taking him to court and have filed a complaint with the CSLB

To get a sense of the costs, I reached out to several vendors for estimates on a 96% energy-efficient gas furnace. Among them all, Charlie from Ice Heating and Cooling stood out with the most competitive price and top-quality offering. Beyond the excellent work, Charlie went above and beyond by extending my labor and service warranty. He welcomed me to call him anytime with questions or issues and was straightforward, upfront, and honest about what he could offer and deliver. I couldn't be happier with the service. Project: I recently completed an attic insulation project, that included insulation removal, rodent…read moreexclusion mesh installation, attic air sealing, attic sanitation, and R-38 insulation; as well as complimentary air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and crawl space inspection. The on-site execution was handled exceptionally well by Project Manager / Foreman Ezequiel Mas and his 2 crew members. Communication: Ezequiel Mas spoke English well, was honest, transparent, and easy to work with when asked direct questions. While he was not naturally proactive in communicating updates, he responded clearly and openly when questions were asked directly and persistently. Collaboration: Ezequiel Mas was very responsive to requests throughout the project. He assisted me with a long ladder so I could access my attic and conduct a 1.5-hour visual inspection after the R-38 insulation was installed. He also willingly provided photos of attic areas I could not easily inspect. Workmanship: Ezequiel Mas and his crew delivered strong workmanship throughout the project. They customized and installed galvanized wire mesh to prevent rodent access to the attic, replaced the old vent soffit with galvanized wire mesh alternative, and inspected all crawl space vents, sealing gaps where needed. Ezequiel also replaced 2 crawl space vents at no additional charge using materials I had purchased, which I appreciated. Most importantly, both Ezequiel and his crew were able to maneuver efficiently within the attic's tight spaces. From insulation removal and rodent-proofing to air sealing, sanitation, and R-38 insulation installation, they completed the work thoroughly and professionally. Post-Installation Homeowner Visual Inspection: I personally entered the attic and inspected all accessible areas. Based on my visual inspection, I confirmed: 1. R-38 insulation was present throughout the attic, generally ranging from 8 to 12 inches in depth. In areas where the insulation depth appeared lower than 10 to 12 inches in depth, Ezequiel explained that the insulation was more densely packed. 2. The tighter attic edge areas were insulated and did not contain noticeable voids. 3. Vent soffit openings remained unobstructed by insulation. 4. Areas requiring additional sealing were promptly addressed when identified during my inspection. A Few Notes for Future Homeowners: Scope Clarity: Be crystal clear on your contracted scope. Promotional add-ons (e.g., complimentary air duct or dryer vent cleaning) may end up serving more as a sales funnel than services actually performed. It's best to keep your focus strictly on the core work you need. Scheduling & Boundaries: Stand firm on your own timeline and project sequencing (especially if coordinating alongside other major projects like a roof replacement). The company's administrative side may push for their own convenience. Come prepared with your own knowledge, be persistent with your boundaries, and don't let outside pressure or pushback dictate your house's readiness. In the end, thanks to Ezequiel Mas and his crews hard work during the physical insulation removal and installation, as well as the owner Noam Yaakobi for providing a long ladder that allowed me to perform my own visual inspection. If you decide to work with "All Bay Insulation HVAC & Construction", I would highly recommend requesting Ezequiel Mas as your foreman.

Unfortunately, there was a communication mix up and some additional work was needed. With every other contractor I've worked with, this is where things get painful. You can't reach them. They push back. They argue. Not so with Fuse. First off, they have a call center so you can always reach someone, and that person is always helpful. Then, they really do work to make things right. We had an other technician out within a few days to make the small fix. Work was fast, and they showed up exactly when they said they would. They were also 100% unwilling to compromise on safety - and they were very clear on this. I want this in an electrical contractor. Anyway, I absolutely recommend Fuse and I'd have zero hesitation using any of their services again.
