Some section of this restaurant looks like a bedroom. Interesting decors. Artworks on the walls. Set dinner come in 3 or 4 or 5 courses. Food and service are very good.

We were able to get seated right on the window area. We chose menu 5, which was just enough for two people. Everything was delicious! Their pea soup is out of this world. Don't know why as it is a simple dish but wow! I also love their herring. It was so delicious that I wanted seconds. It paired so well with their onions and mustard. And their bitterballen was just enough bite. Creamy and crispy! We also got a combination of the hutspot. They were all delicious! Although for me the meatball was just a tad bit salty but it is probably just me! Everything else was spot on. I love their dessert at the end. It was a great way to end the night. Our server and their staff were all amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Yes it is a tourist spot but totally worth it.

We did not have one but they were happy to seat the 2 of us and invited us to switch tables once another couple left (they were checking out). Small space, can accommodate groups of 2-4, cozy atmosphere, lots of the traditional blue and white ceramics on the wall (dishes and tiles). Traditional Dutch cuisine: we ordered the Boerenkoolstamppot with smoked sausage and Zuurkoolstamppot with smoked sausage and a slice of apple pie to share for dessert. The food arrived piping hot in about 20 minutes. It was sooo delicious--the tasty juicy sausage pairs perfectly the mashed potatoes with either sauerkraut or kale. The apple pie was also tasty--larger chunks of apple and more spices less sugar than American apple pie from what I can tell. Perfect with whipped cream. A must visit if you're in Amsterdam and want to try traditional fare. Highly recommended!

Located on the Rozengracht, it's super central and easy to get to from just about anywhere in the Jordaan or the Center. * The Atmosphere: It's dark, moody, and has a very cool "late-night" energy. Even if you aren't sure what it is from the street, the vibe inside is unmistakable. * The Food: If you like meat, this is your spot. The burgers are massive and juicy, and the ribs literally fall off the bone. * The Vibe: It's a bit louder and more energetic than a standard restaurant, making it perfect for a night out with a group or a casual date with great cocktails. It gets incredibly busy, so even though it feels like a "hidden" spot from the outside, you'll definitely want to book a table ahead of time. Overall: A total neighborhood win. Don't make the mistake of walking past it for as long as I did!

We entered and seated ourselves, and within 5 minutes, a staff person greeted us, brought us a flask of tap water (tastes great and clean) and two glasses, and gave us menus. We ordered a short rib sandwich for him and a chicken Caesar sandwich for me. These come à la carte but you can add sides if you want. I was glad we didn't because the portion was generous. One thing I've noticed here is that the bread is always high quality--our sandwiches came in baguettes about 8 inches long --I had to cut mine in half to eat it lol. Both were savory and flavorful and satisfying. The meat was tender and well seasoned. We savored every bite! They both had crispy bacon in them as well. Very filling! Just what we needed to energize us after our morning at Keukenhof!

We were attracted by their bountiful vegetarian options. I'm going to start with one of my dining companions who ordered the small vegetarian platter as her meal and freaked out that it would be too big after ordering it. It was pretty big but to no one's surprise, she had no problem tackling the whole thing. It contained a little sampling of many of their vegetarian options including a hummus, cheese, jackfruit something, a salad, rolls, and vegan sausage. This is a great way to try a bunch of different things or a solution if you can't decide what to order. GF and I did a similar sampling and ordered a few items to share: vegetarian or vegan (can't remember) bitterballen, vegan sausage sandwich, fries, and I couldn't resist trying MUSTARD SOUP. We had made our decision on the first few items but at the buzzer when placing our order, I noticed "mustard soup" and had to inquire what on earth that was. The waitress explained that it is literally mustard, cream, and broth and as as a mustard stan, I couldn't let this opportunity pass me by and added that to the order. The mustard soup was actually amazing, had onions which I hate but it was so good I was able to overlook that. The bitterballen were crispy and tasty. The vegan sausage sandwich was nothing outrageous but simple and got the job done. The fries include regular shoe-string fries, curly fries, and sweet potato fries with 3 dipping sauces. Don't ask me what the sauces were or which one I preferred because they were all satisfying in their own way. This is a great order to share. I'm glad we stopped by, I love their vegetarian/vegan options, menu diversity, and shareable dishes.

We started with a fun Olive plate and added a fun Friet late with 3 different types of fries and dips. These were great appetizers, but our Vlees (medium size) Plate was even better - too many different things on it to list! I think we had 5 different types of meat, assorted veggies & dips, and toasted breads - SO GOOD! Three adults (2M & 1F) shared this, and we couldn't eat it all! The diners at the next table asked what it was, so they could order the same plate. It was that good. Hope to go back for more!!
