We had the most lousiest experience ever. First we were told they were short staffed and it would be an hour wait - no big deal - we understood. Then they sat us at a booth with a hole in the seating - still not a really big deal. After waiting and finally being seated we ordered drinks. Been here a few times and lately it seems like I'm coming more often. They have started a "inflation fighting " menu with most entrees around $10-12 including drink!! I have tried the Bam Bam Chicken,twice, and it is fantastic. Large portion with two sides and a drink. The fries are crispy and taste great. Also had a side of green beans and cannot complain at all about them. They were well seasoned and quite tasty. The chicken was cooked crispy with a Sweet Thai Chili sauce that was slightly spicy and good. If you don't like spice or just like Ranch dressing, dipping in Ranch kills some of the spice and elevates the taste, for me. The service is friendly and attentive. I had an excellent experience here. The hospitality is above and beyond. The runner who I think was the chef or apart of the leadership team, brought the food ordered except the fries. When I inquired about the fries, he advised me that some fresh ones just FL dropped and will be out shortly. The attention to detail (bringing the food out that's hot and ré-affirming that some more is on the way which will be hot as well) is exactly the guest experience that makes regulars. Everything came out as ordered, it was hot, the bartender and trainee were all very knowledgeable about the food, alcohol and menu overall. I was impressed! Ohh and there was a roving manager, he stopped by the guests at the bar and tables to see how everyone was doing, that's hospitality. I will definitely return to Baumhower's Victory Grille. FYI: Parking is in a lot located at the mall, it's an open air parking, not building, parking is also free. They have approx 58 TVs showing a diversity of events. The best part about the experience were the wings! I didn't order them but ate off my boyfriend's plate! I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Fried Mozzarella. The other two people in my party ordered the Gooey Chargrilled Chicken & Chips (presentation was horrible). This was ordered an appetizer and it came out very late after the other appetizers and entrees were brought to the table. It's a very simple appetizer, so I'm not sure why it took so long. The chips also came out burnt, so the appetizer had that burnt stench. In terms of entrees, they ordered the XL large wings - Mild, light sauce (they were great and cooked to perfection) and the tailgate burger. We didn't order any speciality drinks or desserts. Lastly, the ambiance gives off typical sports bar and restaurant. It wasn't very crowded, but like most restaurants, staffing is an issue. Our server may have a had too many tables. The booth we were seated at had rips and tears on the seats and I was given dirty silverware from another table. I literally watched the server pick up silverware from another table after I requested it. It was still wrapped but there was food residue all over it. I followed up with a request for plastic. As a matter a fact, 2 of us stopped and purchased a hat before we even got a table to sit and eat. We were able to sit outside on the patio. I've always loved Baumhower's. It was my go to wing place growing up, and I was so excited to see them open back up in Mobile. The service is a little slow on occasion, but the servers are friendly and attentive when they eventually come to your table. Their wings are delicious. They have honey mustard, a jerk flavor, garlic parm, and all of those cool flavors. The downside is that you can only choose one flavor with your wing combo. Food is fine. 3rd time here. LAST time here. The guy at the door (maybe the asst mgr) was great. We sat at the bar as we always do. Manager guy ended up getting our drinks and taking our order. The bartender never asked us if we wanted another beer and our glasses were clearly empty and displayed on the edge of the bar. A friend and I came to the mall today to find her a dress for the Mardi Gras balls she has coming up. She was hungry, so we popped in here to grab a bite to eat. There was hardly any customers in there eating, but plenty of workers. Everyone greeted us as we walked past them and chose seats at the bar. There was one girl working the bar area, which was odd since that is where the majority of the guests were seated. She promptly brought us waters and took our orders. The food took a little bit to arrIve, and came out piping hot. I got the chicken tenders with curly fries. The chicken was so soft that it practically fell apart in my hands. It tasted so good, especially when dipped in their house made honey mustard sauce. The fries were great as well. Not too salty, too crispy, or too soft. They were just right. Unfortunately, my friend's meal didn't go as well. She got some kind of grilled chicken wrap (I don't know the exact name of it) and her chicken had a very rubbery texture. She said it tasted undercooked. She ended up not eating it, and ate some of my chicken tenders instead. She agreed that they were excellent. The server took her plate and my friend explained why she didn't eat it. The server offered to get her another meal, but she said she was fine since we shared mine. Then another man (manager, perhaps?) came out and offered to make her anything else on the menu that she wanted, and apologized. He told her he just wanted to make it right, but she again declined. Just him coming to apologize and offer another meal was kind enough, but he had her entire meal removed from the check. That was very classy and great service all around. Need to stop coming back to this location. It's right by a hotel I normally stay at so it's very convenient, but every time I go I order hot wings, or hot lips, and I order them wet. Sometimes extra wet. And I am charged at least $.75 for them to be wet or extra wet. But when they show up they are dry. As in there is barely a drizzle of any hot sauce on top of them. I'm not sure why I'm being charged additional money for chicken wings or chicken tenders that have barely a little dribbling of hot sauce on top of them. Every blessed time. I've been to Victory Grill on several occasions and it really is hit or miss with the service and food. I don't really have a go-to menu item I get here because nothing has been overly impressive. The black and white chicken wrap can be good, but a couple times it's been cold, like they had grabbed it out of a refrigerator, and other times the cheese has been melted. The hot lips can be good, but sometimes over cooked. The power salad has been the most consistent item that I've tried, so I'll probably stick with that for future visits.
