This place doesn't seem like much from the outside. When we went there, it had just opened for the evening hours, we were greeted by the bartender/server, who was very nice and friendly. We ended up ordering the Nachos that Guy Fieri got when he was there and they did not disappoint, some of the best pulled pork nachos I've ever had. I also ordered the other thing Guy had when he was there which was the Lamburghini hamburger and it was excellent as well. The Ambiance was ok, it was more of a bar atmosphere with good food. Came here again today with my boyfriend and he got the chicharron burger and it was my favorite burger I've ever had! It truly disappoints me to do this review . We have eaten at Bauer's restaurants over the years and have always been happy. However today was a very different experience. We went for breakfast this morning taking my Daughter that HAS to eat gluten free. She was looking forward to their waffles, which she did order. My husband and I ordered the ham omelette with onions and bell peppers. To our dismay the meals arrived in portions at different times . Her waffle was hard on the outside and doughy in the center so we ordered her pancakes. Her eggs and bacon came several minutes after the waffle. Then her pancakes arrived and they were also doughy in the center. Our omelettes were cold and had cheese which we did not order, also did not have onions or bell peppers as ordered. After being very disappointed in the meal we were told they could not take cash, only plastic. Then they charged us a 4% charge for using the card. We went here last night for a birthday dinner and sat outside. It's very nice that they offer that as an option in the midst of a pandemic. They had little lights up and a heater out there that created a nice vibe, despite the loud traffic nearby, including two long trains passing by throughout the night. We ordered the Brussels sprouts for an appetizer and they were delicious!! I ordered the garlic gorg burger with cauliflower bites. Food and service is always good here except for tonight. We had to ask our waitress for absolutely everything; waters, napkins, plates. We even had to ask for our bill and had to get up to pay all while we watched her wait on and cash out the only other table in the restaurant so their waitress could sit at their table and talk to them all night. They really hyped up the burger and I was disappointed at how flavorless and bland it ended up being afterall... also the location is not ideal. Everyday there's homeless harassing people who eat outside and one particular day I was there and ordered ribs and potato salad (the potato salad was great, the ribs were just ok) there were religious fanatics yelling at people on the street about how they're going to hell til they repent. I know the restaurant can't do anything about that, so the 3 stars is more because the food was mediocre and the service was very very slow both times we went. Decided to try this place based on outstanding Yelp ratings. Son, wife, and I got there early on a Friday night. The waitress was outstanding and very helpful in recommending various dishes. We got the Octavian style nachos and Vinha d'alhos wings (hot variety) as appetizers. Both were outstanding. The nachos had excellent flavored meats heaped on them and were a meal in themselves. Fogo burger had a perfect amount of heat for my liking. You can't beat fresh cut jalapenos! The only negative I can give this place was their selection of beers didn't include many stouts or porters. The wings already come spicy, but we added more. These wings are not for people who can't handle the heat. Each bite included some juicy meat along with a kick and diced pieces of garlic. I really loved the wings! The jerk chicken was pretty good and the meat was very juicy, but it needed a bit more seasoning. El Chicharrón Burger was tasty and the pork belly was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce that it came with was good, too.
