Let's start with the negatives... First time we attempted to come by they were closed. So we had to…read morewait to try Mike's Grillhouse. Staff was super friendly, went out of their way to make sure the tables were tidy, and refilled drinks really quick. The restaurant is smaller than you expect it to be, but it is cozy, friendly, and not overly loud. We only had a 10 minute wait when we arrived and they were packed. Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. When you get broccoli and carrots on the same plate and neither have a mushy texture it makes me happy Will definitely be back again in the future.

You can hear the music they are playing. Our server, Kyle, came out to let us know the special. He put our appetizers in before even thinking about our food. They were spaced out just right. He was also Johnny on the spot with refills and kept checking on us. Ok now onto the food. It was delicious! Hubby had scallops as an appetizer and pot roast for his main dish. I had fried zucchini and then fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. I like my chicken on the side so I only add what I want. This place is just down from the freeway exit and is only open for lunch & dinner. If you are passing through Modesto, get off and come eat some good food. It is totally worth it!

The vibe was super chill and inviting, especially with the live music playing. It created such a relaxed, fun atmosphere where we could just unwind and keep enjoying our time together. We ended up sharing a pizza, which was actually really good, and paired it with dessert cocktails that hit the spot. Everything felt easy and enjoyable, not rushed at all. The staff was really nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The inside has a modern feel to it very clean, stylish, and just a really comfortable space to hang out. What I loved most was the overall energy of the place it felt like a great mix of cozy and lively at the same time. Perfect for winding down, catching up, and just enjoying the moment. Definitely a place I'd come back to for a relaxed night out with good music, drinks, and bites

I'm always up to trying new restaurants and when we were invited here, I was pleasantly surprised…read more I hadn't heard about this restaurant. There are a few restaurants that share the parking so there is very limited parking. We had to go around twice to find a parking spot. We had reservations and were sat promptly. They had live music playing in the background, which is nice. We couldn't see it so I didn't know where they were at. It is designed in a circular way where the bar is in the middle so you cannot see across. We were greeted by our server and he was very attentive. He gave us some great recommendations and he was very pleasant. We started with the fig bruschetta and that was a 10 out of 10. It had little bacon bits on top which added a layer of flavor. We also had the spinach and artichoke crab dip, which was 10 out of 10. We added extra crostinis which is recommended. For a drink, I had the Cosmo, which was nice and refreshing. I also had a taste of the Old Glory and that was a nice refreshing twist on the old-fashioned, which was recommended by our server. I had the Calabrian Chile Shrimp Scampi over pappardelle pasta and it was the 10 out of 10. The layers of flavor with the capers, lemon, bacon and spice was perfect! I tried a piece of the crusted halibut, which was very moist and flavorful as well as the salmon. All was great on flavor. For dessert we had the brownie with vanilla ice cream, which is a huge brownie. I would say it's good for four people. I also tried the apple pie cheesecake which was very good and the mixed berry crumble that tasted fresh. I ordered an espresso martini to try it and it looked a little messy on the glass. As for taste, I felt like the Vodka drowned out the espresso notes. 6/10 As mentioned, our server was very friendly and attentive however he did fail to bring ice water when requested, but overall great experience .

I know Texas Roadhouse has enough different foods to please everybody's different tastes. I called in ahead and got my name on the waiting list. This is the way to go so you don't have to wait in line a long time. I saw all the raw steaks on display as we entered, and sometimes I pick out my particular steak from the case and let them know. This time I just went in and will order at the table. We get seated and drink orders taken and those tasty bread rolls appear at our table. My guys are hungry so they dig in to those right away. This Texas Roadhouse dining area looks very similar to most all the locations. We order, I start with some appetizers for the crew, the loaded potato skins. I get a ribeye steak, as do some of the other guys. One guy gets the pork chop. We all get Caesar Salads with our meals. The food arrives and it all looks good. My steak is cooked as ordered. At least no one at the table ordered their steak well done! Texas Roadhouse is a good choice when trying to please more than you and one other person. Service is friendly and efficient. I'll always go to a Texas Roadhouse!

But this place brags on having good garlic fries ...I don't know how. They aren't even sliced potatoes, bc they're made from a packaged substance ...nasty. Service???? Hahahahaha I have found better service at a bowling alley. Choose your seat, nobody tells you the rules, look in the menu & hunt down someone when you make your choice. Be sure to ask for condiments, utensils, salt/pepper, napkins & they will bring you a can of soda. The server was "nice" but he didn't know if the fish are battered & deep fried or if they're frozen & re-heated. Didn't check on us even one time until he brought the bill. Oh yeah, he forgot to give us back our credit card & when we finally found it the card was up on this huge public space counter just laying there out in the open for anyone to steal it. Atmosphere - have you ever seen a guy get a tattoo while you have dinner? Well you will at The Post. Yup, just 4 booths over a lady had a tattoo bed arranged & she did 3 tattoos while we struggled through this experience. Just outside the glass door to the rear of the restaurant was a "pop-up" event ...not bad, but the extra loud music was competing with the music image restaurant & it was kinda annoying. I've said enough & trust me there is more, but you won't want to hear it, maybe you should go throw 3 or 4 twenty dollar bills on lousy food & service & enjoy the experience yourself. Stay away from this place, I went & did the struggle for you & have now wrote about it.

We first tried The Grizzly Bite in March 2025 at the Ripon Taphouse…read more We hadn't tried them before and were very excited to do so. They were yet on Yelp so I guess I'm the first review! Immediately, you notice the food truck is nicely decorated and visually appealing, the Grizzly bear featured very prominently. The name of the place doesn't give away the food, so for anyone wondering, they do burgers, chicken tenders, and chicken sandwiches. They also have the word Burgers visible on the outside of the truck. We were first in line and our order was promptly taken and the workers were all very friendly and seemed genuinely excited to greet and serve me. I opted for the double grizzly bite and I asked for jalapeños on it. It was a good choice! Very delicious and extremely filling, you won't be disappointed. Huge burger. I also enjoyed the side of fries, but for an additional $3, not sure that I enjoyed them well enough to justify the extra $3, for something that's normally included. Quick suggestion there: offer an optional seasoning or something that makes the fries pop and I think they would go a lot further! My wife ordered the chicken tenders with fries. She got 4 tenders and said they had great flavor and the fries were good. We had to ask for ranch on the side, but there were no issues there! All in all, 5/5 stars. Will definitely try them again!
