I enjoyed the Cookie Butters Foster and substituted Italian Espresso Gelato instead of Salted Carmel and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! My son enjoyed a create your own desert and we were both in Gelato heaven. The flavors were incredible and our taste buds were overjoyed. Despite there being a line out the door the service was excellent. We were able to sample a few flavors and only waited a few short moments for our desert to be ready. I finally visited BATTR on the 1st day of September 2024 (Sunday) with a friend after a Cleveland Guardians baseball game. HOW IT WORKS -- Choose between a crepe, a Battr company created crepe cone, or a bubble waffle. Then choose your gelato flavour, then choose your toppings, and finally choose a choice up to 2 sauces such as nutella, caramel, peanut butter, etc. An employee told me that it's cheaper to build your own rather than choose a signature menu dessert so I built my own. I ordered the Build Your Own Dessert which consists of either a crepe, crepe cone, or bubble waffle. I chose a bubble waffle dessert with 2 vanilla wafers, gelato ice-cream (sea salt caramel and limoncello flavours), plus topped with 2 sauces (caramel and biscoff cookie butter). Mine cost $10 total. It tasted delicious but I definitely did not finish it. This is a perfect waffle/ice-cream for two people to split and share. I wouldn't get this again because it's just too much sugar...haha. Mine was a good size but my BF's had 1/2 his cup empty...not cool for charging $24, which is practically entree-level. Both came with gelato but it was the lowest quality gelato I've ever had. This place is pretty legit. Stopped in on a Tuesday night and were greeted by two friendly employees behind the counter. We had never been there before, so they explained the options and even let me sample a couple of the gelato flavors. There is so much to choose from here! We both ended up doing the create your own bubble waffles and let me tell you...don't be too scared by the $10 price tag because it is a ton of dessert. As other reviewers have said, it is a little slow waiting to get your treat, but crafting these creations is an art! I got one scoop of cookies and cream and one scoop of salted caramel gelato, then chose to top it with marshmallow fluff and Oreos (you get choices of two sauces and two toppings, but I was overwhelmed so just chose one of each). The girl working even offered to torch the marshmallow fluff which was so the right call because it was amazing! My friend got the bananas foster gelato and topped it with marshmallow fluff and bananas and said it was delicious as well. She loved the bubble waffle and I thought it was good but didn't love how soggy the part touching the ice cream got so I think it would be better as more of a topping. What is there to say, really? I crave this crème brûlée crepe cone biblically. The pictures I included are from when they first opened and they since improved the presentation of the 'crepe cone' , it's in a thick paper sleeve now which makes it so much easier to eat. They put cinnamon toast crunch in it sometimes and I'm not sure why because it doesn't say it includes them on the menu but I don't care. I have been waiting for Battr to open for months now! I was so excited to have a place within walking distance that would help to satisfy my sweet tooth! I was torn between the lychee iced tea and the raspberry iced tea, so I asked the cashier.
