On a 90 degree day. Who wouldn't want gelato. I for sure do. I ordered a couple different things for myself and my son. I got just a small serving of the strawberry gelato. My son ordered the e bubble waffle Oreo blast. He said it was the best thing he has had in a long time. I enjoyed mine and he enjoyed his. Which is a plus because kids are picky. Super fun place to go to at night! Went there with a couple of friends and the three of us split the bubble waffle and it was more than enough. The ube ice cream was good, a nice soft and creamy texture to contrast the waffle. It's a little hard to eat out of the cup, but so worth it. The white chocolate was a little off, but that might be more just the flavors we chose. The workers were super nice and it was ready pretty quickly, and there is a good amount of room upstairs to sit and eat. So I've been to Battr 3 or 4 times now. The first time I went there was one dairy free option which was the vanilla bean and that was super yummy. I've also had the passion fruit sorbetto and last night I went with my friend who's dairy and gluten free. We both tried the mango and raspberry sorbetto and got the raspberry which was delicious. The gelato I've gotten from here is really good and the service is very fast, kind, and accommodating of dietary restrictions. I like the location and storefront of this place. It's very like 2010s but not in an offensive way and the decor is not too overdone. My main critique is the lack of vegan cones / crepes and lack of advertising of dairy free and vegan options on the website as this kept me from checking this place out for months. I also like that they always have at least one dairy free gelato but I'd prefer if there was one dairy free gelato and a sorbetto at the same time. Additionally, more interesting flavors in the dairy free options would be really nice. Overall I really enjoy this place and appreciate the effort they put into provide options but the interest and demand is there for more! read more

I enjoyed the Cookie Butters Foster and substituted Italian Espresso Gelato instead of Salted Carmel and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! My son enjoyed a create your own desert and we were both in Gelato heaven. The flavors were incredible and our taste buds were overjoyed. Despite there being a line out the door the service was excellent. We were able to sample a few flavors and only waited a few short moments for our desert to be ready. If you don't find what you want, you can create your own. The bubble waffle cone in a cup seemed to be what they're known for and did not disappoint! Very flavorful with a soft waffle cone and was easy to cut with the spoon to mix with the ice cream. HOW IT WORKS -- Choose between a crepe, a Battr company created crepe cone, or a bubble waffle. Then choose your gelato flavour, then choose your toppings, and finally choose a choice up to 2 sauces such as nutella, caramel, peanut butter, etc. An employee told me that it's cheaper to build your own rather than choose a signature menu dessert so I built my own. I ordered the Build Your Own Dessert which consists of either a crepe, crepe cone, or bubble waffle. I chose a bubble waffle dessert with 2 vanilla wafers, gelato ice-cream (sea salt caramel and limoncello flavours), plus topped with 2 sauces (caramel and biscoff cookie butter). Mine cost $10 total. It tasted delicious but I definitely did not finish it. This is a perfect waffle/ice-cream for two people to split and share. I wouldn't get this again because it's just too much sugar...haha. They have a number of their signature, pre-set, combos but I opted to customize my own: bubble waffle with salted caramel gelato, strawberries, reeses pieces, plus matcha white chocolate and raspberry sauce. Suuuuper sweet, so I might suggest that you share one. I might just get gelato next time, but I had to have the signature item at least once. Also got an affogato with the tiramasu gelato ($6)! I ordered the cookie banana foster bubble waffle monstrosity and the BF got the creme brûlée with strawberry gelato in a crepe cone. Mine was a good size but my BF's had 1/2 his cup empty...not cool for charging $24, which is practically entree-level. Both came with gelato but it was the lowest quality gelato I've ever had. What is there to say, really? I crave this crème brûlée crepe cone biblically. The pictures I included are from when they first opened and they since improved the presentation of the 'crepe cone' , it's in a thick paper sleeve now which makes it so much easier to eat. They put cinnamon toast crunch in it sometimes and I'm not sure why because it doesn't say it includes them on the menu but I don't care. The service can be hit or miss but again I really don't care this thing is so good. It's like, if I ever moved away I would actually mourn.
