We weren't planning on dessert after lunch at LJ Shanghai, but then we drove past Mango Mango, and, decided to stop in. We got Combo A, which came with a Mille Crepe Cake and two ice creams. The crepe cake was super light and creamy--really good! The ice cream was smooth and refreshing, but the flavors were not as sharp and fresh as I'd hoped. Overall, a bit on the pricey side, but I appreciated the spacious interior with lots of seating. I could see meeting up here with friends for a tropical treat instead of afternoon coffee. I would say this place is the star of Asia Town and is giving KoKo Bakery a run for its money as the go to dessert spot. The mango crepe cake here was one of the best I've ever had; it was light and fluffy, super flavorful but not too sweet, and better than anything you can get at Lady M (another chain specializing in crepe cakes). So mango mango is a chain that has mango-centric HK style desserts. Basically more soup based, which can be strange for the non-Asian palate. Definitely more than enough for 2 people. The mango flavor is so so strong. I also really appreciate that there are more toppings within the snow so you don't have any plain snow. Finally another good bubble tea store in Cleveland. I strongly prefer the drinks from Mango Mango over the other option, which is Kung Fu Tea in the university area. The desserts are mostly Mango themed. Crepe was disappointing. If I ever went to another location, then I would stick with the cups of boba plus fruit. And the drinks are great for hitting my sweet tooth. The interior of the store is fashionably decorated. Not only that. We were there in less than 5 min! The menu was hard to read and understand what you really get, however the pictures do help a bit. It isn't often I see durian as an option so we opted for the Mustang durian with black rice. In addition, we grabbed a mango with crystal jelly. Presentation of products and cleaniness of the dining area is a plus. It was done in less than 2 minutes and both items were refreshing and was quite flavorful without being too sweet! Absolutely loved this place! Right in the heart of Downtown Cleveland it's a true gem. My son and I had a dessert date on a Friday after school. What a sweet treat for the both of us. Their ingredients to ice ratio is seriously ideal! Usually when I order a taro smoothie from other places they give me extra ice in the blender which makes it more like a slushie. This just waters down the taste of the taro, which can be upsetting at times. This place figured out the perfect ratio so that you can actually thoroughly enjoy the flavors of your bubble tea/smoothie from start to finish. Also, iI have to admit. I am obsessed with their cups! Love that it's in Asia town to continue building the community however it's not located in a place that many people come to hang out. Regardless, the main bowls you can order here are so delicious and not so sweet and you feel light leaving and not stuffed like you may normally feel after eating dessert. Mango Mango is a a unique spin on the typical bakery model as it only offers Asian desserts, kind of like Koko's Bakery, but fancy!! The interior is adorable and has a retro, Space Age aesthetic that I'm totally into. The location is in Asiatown but kind of in a rough, off to side part of it. I am odd in the fact that I really like the taste of durian fruit but it is hard to find it in anything other than drinks. As I don't like to drink my calories, I jumped on the chance to order durian cream puffs, which come as a pair for $8.95. In my opinion, the prices are very high although I must admit that these desserts are unique. But seriously though, hardly anything on the menu is under $7. That's nuts for dessert. As for the taste, these decent-sized puffs were pretty good! The cream was more watery than I would have liked but it had a nice, strong durian flavor. We ordered the A2 (Snow White Mango Juice Sago & Pomelo w/ Mango Ice Cream) and S10 Mango Mille Crepe Cake). I was surprised, both of these items were NOT overly sweet as I had expected. I would recommend the two items that we got. I'll need to try their bubble teas next time I'm at a Mango Mango location. There was a lengthy wait but I'd think that gets better the longer they're open. I got the Strawberry Mango Juice Sago & Lychee Jelly w. Mango ice cream. I added the rice ball and the red bean (an extra 50 cents for a second addition) and it was so lovely. Fruity and fresh and not artificially overbearingly sweet. The mango ice cream was very nice. My friend got the Snow White Mango Juice w. Red Beans and she also really liked it. I got the Earl Grey Chestnut Honey Cake, Pink Peach Lychee Cake and Matcha Herbal Jelly Cake to go for my family. The cakes weren't bad. My favorite was the peach. But I will say they are overpriced for the size of the slices. Nice to have the option but I'm here for the cold desserts. Since this was opening day, my friend and I got the Passion Fruit Green Tea for free with our orders. Very refreshing, I'd definitely get this again. Boba reinforcements have arrived in Cleveland! The long anticipated Ohio location of the Mango Mango franchise opened to throngs of people looking to fill their HK/Taiwanese dessert and boba fix. There is a small parking lot out front, with plenty of street parking. As promised, Mango Mango has an extremely cute, aesthetic interior with plenty of mango paraphernalia (including an Insta-worthy mango chair) and free Wi-Fi. Plenty of non-mango shaped seating options inside are also available to wait with your buzzer for your order. It took a while for our food/drink to get made, which will hopefully improve, but presentation was on point. This menu is both heaven for Asian dessert lovers and hell for those with choice paralysis. Of course you have the mango-centric options, but you can also choose from other staples like matcha Green Tea Mille Crepe Cakes, Black Sesame Paste Soup, and Taro Balls with Ube Jelly. And the drinks? Ohhh the drinks. Very sweet and very tasty. I got the Jasmine Cheese Foam drink which was just as tea-forward as I liked but a little on the sweeter side. For the un-initiated, cheese foam is a semi-salty thick whipped cream that is a wonderful complement to any milktea drink. Single occupancy restroom for men and women each. So far, so clean. Cons: no option to modulate ice or sugar level, sort of pricey, and most unfortunately -- those calorie counts listed on the menu. But hey. Treat yoself. Cleveland deserves this. read more
