My husband and I came to Chali for the first time to meet one of my best friends over the holidays and it was great! The service was quick and ordering was easy, there isn't too much seating but we were able to find a spot for the three of us, and the ambiance is light and low key. Our boba was quite tasty and our fruit teas included chunks of the actual fruit in it, which we love, as well as bubbles/jellies! I am excited to come back and try more of their menu!

Favorite: Lychee Boba Experience: Chali Tea Shop is a gem for bubble tea lovers and those who want to experience it for the first time! Their menu is very extensive with boba, milk tea, frozen drinks, matcha, green tea, fruit tea slush, brewed tea, and more. Not only is the menu full of exciting options but you can also build your own creations at the kiosk. They also have a small and cute Asian dessert selection with mousses and cakes. My choice was Lychee Tea Slush without sugar and with added lychee bobas. The tea tasted like spring. The bobas tasted very juicy, just like biting into grapes. To my delight, the drink came in a reusable plastic cup. I also ordered Pistachio cake. I wouldn't say that it tastes like pistachios, but it is very creamy, moist, and fresh. Restaurant Layout: The restaurant has small tables and bar stool seating by the windows. The restaurant has cute decorations with teddy bear art. Ordering: You can conveniently place an order online (pickup), at a kiosk, or at the checkout. Ordering at the kiosk allows you to customize your ingredients and add-ons. Parking: Street parking is available at the front. There is a small parking lot in the back.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and were able to find close-by street parking. The shop is very nice- cute decor, lots of comfortable seating, and clean. We ordered on the kiosk and it was quick and convenient. We did feel like the drink was mildly pricey for what it was (~$8 a drink with toppings) and the boba texture was not the best we've had in the area. It came with some decorative whipped cream on top- probably would appeal to those who like more fancy decorative drinks rather than simple milk teas. However it looks like they have special deals on the weekdays and cute pastries as well, so we may come back sometime to try those!

I came to this location on its opening day, and have came by a few times since then. Their fresh milk teas come with boba (amber boba is their default) included, so the price is very reasonable! You also ask for a different topping instead of boba. The tea taste is strong and deep without being bitter, and not masked by the milk as it so often does. The owners are extremely friendly, transparent about their ingredients, and give excellent suggestions if you are feeling indecisive. The area is well lit being on a street corner, plenty of windows, tables and chairs, outlets, and WiFi. An ideal study or outing place for smaller (4 or less) groups of people. Dropped in during a Saturday afternoon; there is plenty of street parking on both corners. Highly recommend their fresh milk teas and the fresh taro series!

I was in the area so I stopped by! Love cha li's. Prob my fave boba shops in cle. They're always so friendly and the menu has a wide range of options from milk tea, slushes, to fruit teas. They also have a case of yummy desserts! I always order two drinks, fresh jasmine milk tea and a peach or lychee fruit tea. Their main location is in stow which is closer to where I live. But this location is beautifully designed!! I love the modern design in this space. Also, there's parking out back so it's easily accessible.

After traversing through Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and half of Cleveland without finding any great boba, we were desperate for a good drink. We actually came upon Chali by chance while driving through Shaker Heights to another destination. I went to the shop's website and after finding most of the menu given in Chinese (with English in smaller font), my anticipation rose. We weren't able to make it there until 30 minutes before closing but luckily they still had what we wanted available for purchase. We found the interior to be pretty well appointed, with inviting tables and decor. There are light board games located in the back to play and there are plenty of tables to accommodate a good number of parties. The shop seems like a great place to hang out for a while as you drink. As we perused the menu, we found multiple varieties of teas available, including da hong pao and tieguanyin, a rarity in American boba shops. This place seems to be serious about the quality of the teas they brew (at least for boba). They also offer several different toppings that I haven't seen before (oats?) that give additional variety over other places. As with all new-to-us boba shops, we got the house special/signature. We wanted to get more, but we were too full from dinner and it was a bit too late for too much additional caffeine. Signature Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice, Large w/ Boba ($6.25) - The drink is creamy with a bit of dairy milkiness, and the sweetness at 50% is pretty well balanced with the tea and milk. It looks like they use Horizon milk, although they also give you the option to substitute with plant based milks. The tea flavor comes through and leaves a bit of a tannic coating on the teeth and palate. Overall the taste is quite nice. Chali uses golden boba instead of the more common black boba. It's cooked pretty much perfectly, with a very nice chew that keeps bouncing back as you continue biting into each pearl. The drink as a whole is among the best I've had in the Midwest and is easily in the top 5 of the 75+ boba shops I've visited over the last year. (5/5) Chali is somewhere I'd easily recommend anyone go to for good boba. They have a good variety of teas and toppings that allows you to get a new drink every time and not get tired.

Great boba place! I'm always looking for one when I travel and this one is worth the stop. Love the interior. Tea is made fresh. We got the milk tea and taro milk tea with tapioca pearls and both were amazing! Did 50% sugar and maybe could've done lower. Best taro I've tried in a long time. Milk tea is creamier than others. The employees and family owners are kind and care about their customers. The one thing they should do is start one in my city!!

I like this place! Everyone is very nice and they have a large assortment of teas. It's on the corner of a busy street and parking in front is always full so you might have better luck parking on the side streets.

Great spot to grab boba. They had many options on their menu including milk alternatives which was nice. There is street parking available. We were able to find a spot right outside the store. The person at the counter was very helpful in describing their drinks and giving recommendations. Would definitely come back to try more drinks

The best boba in the Northeast Ohio area for sure, but pretty expensive. The inside of the shop is clean and the workers are very nice. The mango pomelo sago and passion mango tea are worth trying. Average drink price is $5.50-$7.00.

As we were driving through Cleveland, we decided to stop and get a drink. Oolong Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.60) - The tea was way oversteeped, resulting in a very roasted, almost burnt taste. I asked for half sweet, but the sweetness level came out at around quarter sweet if compared to other boba shops. The boba was not good - I could tell it was honey soaked, but it was not cooked nearly enough. Quite hard and not a great texture. What happened to this Kung Fu Tea location? It used to be so good and now it's very mediocre. Then again, this might be a company-wide issue with Kung Fu Tea. Since the pandemic, I've been to multiple locations and I have not been impressed with any of them. I definitely do not recommend this place. I might have to swear off trying other KFT locations too given that it seems like their tea and boba is consistently disappointing.

This location in particular makes solid bubble tea, though my biggest gripe is that the wait time is always very long. Even when I order ahead, I feel like I end up waiting there for 15+ minutes just to get bubble tea. My go to bubble teas here are the winter melon milk tea, the oolong milk tea, as well as a variety of the fruit teas.

CONS: I have none! BOTTOM LINE: LuCha serves the best authentic-style brown sugar milk tea I have found anywhere in this region, and I will happily drive more than an hour for it. I should begin with a confession: I am extremely particular about bubble tea. Bubble tea originated in Taiwan, and while the modern universe of boba includes practically every tea, fruit, milk, foam, syrup, and topping imaginable, I have a strong preference for traditional-style milk tea with a bold black-tea foundation. LuCha itself is a Taiwanese tea brand founded around handcrafted drinks, fresh ingredients, and tea culture, and that attention to the tea itself is exactly what keeps bringing me back. My order is always the Ancient Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and after roughly twenty visits, I have barely considered ordering anything else. The tea is robust enough to remain unmistakably tea rather than tasting like sweetened milk. The brown sugar adds warmth and depth without completely swallowing the black-tea flavor. It is rich, smooth, balanced, and, for my palate, very close to perfection. Then there are the boba themselves. Good tapioca pearls should not be rubbery, hard in the center, excessively soft, or dissolving into starch. LuCha consistently lands in that narrow little kingdom between tender and pleasantly chewy. The pearls are served warm, sometimes almost hot, inside the chilled milk tea. That temperature contrast is one of my favorite parts of the drink because it immediately tells me the boba were freshly prepared. Old tapioca pearls have a particular texture and flavor, and once you have encountered them, your mouth remembers. In all my visits, I have never received stale or day-old-tasting boba here. They are consistently soft, warm, fresh, and almost melt as you chew them. That first sip still makes me close my eyes for a moment. I realize this is dramatic but the heart wants what the heart wants. Although I remain fiercely loyal to one drink, the menu is broad. LuCha offers fresh fruit teas, sparkling fruit drinks, tea slushes, cheese-foam teas, fresh-milk drinks, smoothies, coffee, pure brewed teas, and numerous toppings. Depending on the drink, guests can customize elements such as sweetness, ice level, milk choice, pearls, popping boba, crystal pearls, and cheese foam. There is definitely something for everyone. LuCha also carries a rotating selection of breads, cakes, and small desserts. I have tried several, and they have all been enjoyable. The menu also includes croffles, a croissant-waffle hybrid, with versions such as strawberry and Lotus Biscoff. The one I tried was crisp, sweet, and a very good companion to the tea. Both the Aurora and Stow locations offer online ordering, and the process is easy. LuCha is primarily counter service, and even when there has been a steady stream of customers, I have rarely waited very long. The Aurora location is always clean and has a bright, playful little seating area where you can relax with your drink. The décor, bear breads, plush toys, and customer dog-photo display give it personality without making it feel cluttered. I have tried a great deal of bubble tea throughout Northeast Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, New York and beyond. Many shops produce something enjoyable, but very few make a milk tea that tastes sufficiently of actual tea, and fewer still prepare tapioca pearls this consistently well. LuCha does both. I genuinely drive more than an hour for the Ancient Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and I have done it repeatedly. For anyone who loves authentic-style milk tea with a strong tea base and freshly prepared boba, LuCha should be at the top of the list. Five deeply caffeinated stars.
