The brown sugar milk tea was not flavorful and tasted like plain milk with no ice (not sure if it melted or didn't get any) Workers did not greet us or say one word to us the entire time, only handed us our beverages. Received a coupon / punch card while heading in to Planet Fitness! Tried it after my workout. Definitely will be going back! The mango slushy was so delicious! The tiramisu, and the brown sugar bubble tea were amazing too. I like the interior too! There's plenty of seating, and they even have games if you want to hang out with friends. There is no bubble tea shop in the area that serves higher quality tea than Cha Li. Every tea is made with fresh, loose leaf tea, cold brewed to perfection. Fused with the perfect ratio of organic milk. There are other milk choices too if whole milk does not agree with you. You can customize your sugar and ice levels. I recommend reducing sugar for fruit based beverages (personal preference--especially if ordering fruit tea versus fruit milk tea). Our favorite bubble tea is their signature milk black tea. Whenever you hear about how bubble tea is "so good in California", this is like that, except better (we went there this summer, had good quality bubble tea and still liked Cha Li more). Cha Li is authentic. I also love their brulee milk tea (their signature mixed with brulee throughout the drink). Their fruit milk teas are amazing. The peach, pineapple, honeydew, and raspberry are some of my personal favorites, but you can't go wrong. The "snowy floral whipped cream" are other milk teas that have an oolong base and are topped with a delicious whipped cream and other toppings. The Rose Jade and Osmanthus are two of my favorites from that menu, but again, you cannot go wrong. They also have specialties such as their fruit storm, which is lots of fruit in fresh tea in a giant bucket! Similarly, their mega milk tea is a giant bucket of their signature black tea. Oh, so good. It's priced at one penny per mL... making the mega milk tea (1000 mL) a good deal at $7.something. And did I mention the desserts? Delicious handmade desserts that aren't too sweet are the perfect complement to your cup of perfection. The cookies and cream ice bread goes great with the signature black tea. Did I mention we can't find their unique pearls anywhere else? They serve delicious golden pearls that soak up the flavors of the drink and are cooked to perfection every time. There is something for everyone at Cha Li. Even if you don't like tea, try some mango milk with some matcha foam or a fruity virgin mojito. Get a fruit slush, eat some pecan/almond cookies, and play a game of Jenga with friends. Whatever you do, you don't want to miss this place. Came here with a friend last week and we both loved it! The menu is huge and and wonderful! I got this osmanthus milk tea with cream cover and nuts! My friend got the peach oolong warmed. Mmmmm! The teas had good flavor and wasn't too artificial tasting. The ladies taking our order were nice and patient. You're able to customize your drinks too--sugar and ice level. I've been a regular here for a while now, always getting their Honeydew Milk Tea, though I've tried plenty of their other drinks too and they're all fantastic. What really sets this place apart from the countless other bubble tea shops is the quality: they use real tea, fresh toppings, and most importantly, they don't rely on artificial powder for their flavors like so many other places do. Those powered drinks either, for some reason, make my stomach upset or they just taste awful. Compared to the many other places around, these are the best bubble tea drinks I've found anywhere, and I say that as someone who's tried nearly every shop I could find across Kent, Ravenna, Akron, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. The difference in taste is remarkable. On top of that, their desserts are awesome. Their brown sugar black tea is the best around. Their boba is well prepared and has just the right amount of chewiness. It's too bad they don't open at 11 a.m. some days, now. Also, you may have to wait around until about 30 minutes after they open if you want boba since they sometimes don't have it ready when they open the doors. I got the watermelon tea slush and my mom got the brown sugar boba milk tea. Mine was AH-maz-ZING! It tasted like fresh watermelon and it had a floral taste to it, probably from the tea they use. I'm not a floral taste kind of person but it was soooo good! I felt like I was drinking all the tropical fruits and flowers from Hawaii...in a harmonious blend! As a self professed iced tea nut, this place is a welcome addition to the area. Moving from Cali less than a year ago, where I had several excellent regular boba spots, it's been hard to find a winner close to where I am in akron. This place is legit. Service was excellent. I tried the house milk tea with pudding and strawberry green tea. Both 30% sweet since I don't like my boba drinks sickeningly sweet. They were perfectly lightly sweetened and had authentic tea flavors. This is going to be my regular boba spot from here on out. read more
