We were looking for an after lunch boba after eating lunch in Ohio City and MoonCat Boba Cafe was the closest shop. Honey Jasmine Milk Tea, 50% Sugar, Large w/ Boba ($6.15) - We got this drink at 50% sweet, but found it to be exceedingly sweet like they added double sugar instead of half. The flowery jasmine and honey aroma are able to power through the sweetness and leaves a decent aftertaste on the tongue. If only the drink wasn't so sweet, it might have been way better overall. The boba here also isn't very good. The pearls are very craggy and uneven on the exterior, giving a mouthfeel that isn't too pleasing. They are cooked too long, rendering the boba quite soft throughout, which reduces the chewiness to a disappointing level. It's not quite to the point of being mushy, but the chew is noticeably lacking. Given how sweet the drink is, the boba is bland in comparison as the pearls don't appear to be soaked in any particularly high concentration sugar solution. (3/5) Bathrooms: None. I'm surprised they are able to sell food here without having a customer accessible restroom. Note: MoonCat Boba Cafe is unrelated to The Half Moon Bakery/Cafe next door. We were so confused when we first parked, went into the bakery and didn't see any boba on the menu. It's probably not a good idea to have "Moon" in both business names. MoonCat Boba Cafe isn't terrible, but certainly isn't great either. I suppose it's a decent stop if you work at the hospital across the street and want something sweet to drink.

I did not know this was in the area and let me tell you, I was so excited when I found that out. It's a small space next door to Half Moon (also a great place to stop in) and has your typical bubble tea fare. When I'm trying a new bubble tea place, I get a taro with boba. And it did not disappoint. I forget to ask for less sugar but even full sugar it wasn't terrible (I will ask less sugar next time though). Price-wise it's comparable to the other bubble tea places in Cleveland. Also their logo? SO cute. Stop by, you will not be disappointed!

Um...I think I just ordered the wrong thing? I got the brown sugar milk tea with crystal boba. It was just different than I expected. My hubby ordered ice tea with boba and got non dairy creamer in it. The kid working there was really nice. There isn't really any ambiance to speak of. Just a counter with a couple of bar window seats. Overall I'd try this place again and try something different.

I visited the stand at the Asian festival. I saw that it was made with dairy free milk so I was sold. I don't completely remember the name of the drink. It had the name mooncat in it. It is taro with a strawberry purée and pearls at the bottom. The drink was beyond fabulous. It almost tasted like nestle strawberry quick to me with an added flavor. I will have to visit the store now so I can get this drink again and try the food.

I love MoonCat! It's such a cute small business with quirky decor and great service. I tried their popcorn chicken and waffle fries which were both delicious. The popcorn chicken is Asian-style salt and pepper chicken, which is fresh and tastes authentic. Their boba is also tasty and they have a great selection of flavors. I love the sticky note wall decor that they have; any patron is free to make their own contribution. Definitely a great place to stop by if you're in the area!

Ohhh yes, if you're craving some good quality boba this is the place to go. They just opened this week so I was excited to come try it out! I ordered the honey jasmine milk tea w boba, less sugar, and it tastes exactly the way I've liked it from other well known boba places :) The tea flavor itself is strong and the boba are soft and chewy. The people working are so friendly and it makes for a great environment. They also sell snacks like musubi and popcorn chicken, and I saw great reviews about their musubi on google. I'll have to try it the next time! There is a small seating area by the windows and ample parking out back. I'm really glad to see this store open up and hope it'll get a good amount of traffic as people learn that it's here!

Stopped by here for the first time after always driving by it on the way to Metrohealth, and I'm so glad we did! We got the spam musubi and the passion fruit black tea. Both were so good! I'm from Los Angeles and my dad owned a boba shop there, so I grew up loving boba and was looking for a place in Cleveland that compares. I can confidently say the boba here tastes just like the one back home, I'm obsessed! The service was also friendly and the place was so cute and cozy, with nice notes from customers on post-its all over the wall. So excited to have found this place. I'll definitely be back!

My friend and I were next door at Moon cafe getting empanadas and my friend suggested we come in and grab a boba. It's a cute little spot with a few seats. The server was super friendly. She helped us right away. I believe one of the owners was there sitting at the counter. He got up and had a nice little chat with us. Very friendly. They make you feel welcome and the service was very fast. They have a large variety of milk tea, teas, slushies and boba flavors. I got a strawberry tea with strawberry boba. My friend got her daughter a strawberry slushie with regular boba pearls. We surprised her when we picked her up from school and she knew exactly where we got it. The first thing out of her mouth was moon cat? Haha she loves the drinks here. I would definitely recommend. The prices are really good. Cute little place and friendly staff makes for a great new spot. Give this little new business your business!

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.

There was an abundant amount of toppings including perfectly crispy and spiced tofu, bok choy, broccoli, and corn! The service was amazing. I sat outside as they close the inside to diners about an hour before close and the patio is gorgeous and very clean. The staff brought my bowl out very quickly and were very kind when I asked for a lid after (even though this feels like an annoying ask after you order). I payed $18 for this bowl and got two meals out of it as someone that typically gets 2 meals out of most entrees. It felt like a lot of food for me and was extremely yummy! Only downside is the entrees are typically between $17-20 which is a lot of money for ramen, especially take out without tip. This is the primary reason for me giving it 4 stars, if it was priced around 14/15 I would be here all the time! Milk and non vegan items are very clearly labeled in the drinks and the food. Really good vegan options for ramen and bowls. I tried a bowl my friend got here who is vegetarian and has many allergies and she really enjoys this place as well. Very customizable with entrees. I would highly recommend this to vegans and vegetarians!

The meals can be hit or miss--it's clear that there are multiple chefs who cook differently. Our family always orders the same handful of menu items and there's not a lot of consistency in the quality, flavor, portions, and freshness of the dinner meals. We know it's a roll of the dice when we order. Much like the quality of the main menu items, the prices are inconsistent. There are always price discrepancies between the online menu, the menu in the ordering app, and the prices we get when we call in. As I mentioned, we always order the same things yet the price is always different and the food quality is a gamble. Despite all of that, we continue to go back because their sushi rolls are some of the best you can get on the west side. Always consistently fresh, flavorful, and always the same price! They've got the sushi operation down to a science, just wish they could deliver that same consistency with the hot menu items. Overall, your chances of getting a decent meal here are still pretty good.
