Everyone in town seems to be here when it's hot. It's a pain in the ass to get in and out of the parking lot. This is on the corner and it's tight. Besides that, it's worth it. The ice cream flavors range from classic to modern. It even has non dairy flavors. They had vegan cookies and cream the last time. It's about $3 for a cup. This is a good value. Most other places it's more expensive. They also have mix ins with candy inside. It must be visited if it's summer and you're in Fairview. Just remember to bring change. This was my first experience so maybe my expectations were too high. Got a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, however the chocolate had a weird waxy coating and aftertaste. Ordered a banana split and it was okay -- it was half melted by the time we got it which was disappointing. Ahhh Dariview! SO many memories here! I am from Fairview and my parents still live there, so I often head to here to satisfy my ice cream cravings when I'm home. Not gonna lie though, between Dariview, Weber's, East Coast Custard and Malley's, sometimes it is hard to choose! But Dariview is that classic "ice cream shack" that many communities have. It's a Fairview staple and has been around forever. My family moved to Fairview when I was 12-- but I knew of Dariview's deliciousness even before that since my step-grandma lived in North Olmsted and we'd come here when we visited her. Call me boring but my absolute fave here is the Twist Cone. You just can't beat it. Of course they have an endless array of options and the girls working the counter are always friendly. We just could not let a weekend pass without going out for ice cream. This Sunday we chose the Dari View on Lorain Rd. in Cleveland/Fairview Park. (I am honestly not sure which side it falls on.) This is the place you go when you want a good old fashioned twist cone from a mom and pop shop that is only open in the summer months. They always have chocolate and vanilla (available as a twist) and then two other flavors of soft serve (also available as a twist). They also have an assortment of hard ice creams and yogurts and the typical sundae and split options. I was just about to order a cone when Jason pointed out that they had "Flurries" (think Blizzard) with candy options you cannot get at DQ. This intrigued me and I immediately changed my choice to a Flurry with KitKat and M&M. Jason got KitKat and Twix in his. We both agreed that these were much better than DQ, much! While we were waiting for our Flurries to be ready, a whole string of kids kept coming up and asking at the window if they had any "mistakes." The answer was no, and each of these kids walked away sadly. I am not 100% certain what a mistake is, but I can venture a guess that they either give away or sell very cheap any errors they make for paying customers. It appeared that the entire neighborhood's children were in on this wonderful secret. There really is not much more to say about this place. We will go back again for sure before the summer ends. read more

This place is amazing we go here all the time the flurries are maybe a little overpriced but they are all very good meaning all the flavors. Swirls are very good parents the kiddie cone is available if kids fuss over sharing with you so you don't have to feel bad after and regret eating a hole cone. Overall awesome place. read more

Local favorite. Orange swirl is the best flavor to get here. They change the flavor of the ice cream every two weeks maybe. They also have your basics. Cookie dough, superman, mint chocolate chip etc. they also make milk shakes, slushes and I believe frozen bananas. There are after school specials for all the students in the neighborhood. Extra lunch money is always great for the kids to where they can go get a quick treat! There are always lines when you go here. People walk mostly to get there. The parking lot is small and oddly placed so it's kinda a pain to get in and out of there. But once you start swirl eating your soft serve you forget all about it. Soft serve flavors I've seen are orange, lime, raspberry, lemon, chocolate/vanilla, and I believe a new one I've seen was mango. Again, orange swirl is the BEST! During the fall they have pumpkin and pumpkin pie ice cream. Besides their cookie dough, this is my favorite!! The cookie dough has tons of chunks in it which is always hard to find. They also have maple. My mom gets it when they have it. The girls that work there are FANTASTIC. Always smiling and ready to make suggestions of needed. The prices are great. Much cheaper than DQ or East Coast! Downfall is they only take cash. They don't do credit card. We had our first visit here about a week ago and we had a fantastic experience. They were nice and very fast with the service. Prices were fine, especially for what you got. I ordered a flurry and probably had 1 or 2 entire Reese's Cups chopped and sitting on the top of the flurry and the cup was filled to the top. Other places really skimp on the toppings/fillings, but this was about the best flurry ever because they really pack the toppings in. I can't wait to go back! read more
