The indoor carousel at this location is fabulous for children's birthday parties. What a wonderful delight to eat ice cream surrounded by candy and specialty chocolate! Ample parking, friendly staff and easy to get to from any location. Any age would love to visit here. read more

Malley's Chocolate is my all time favorite candy store. My favorite are their dark chocolate carmellow eggs which are usually available around Easter. The North Olmsted store was my first introduction to Malley's chocolate although I've also shopped at both the Mentor and Fairlawn stores. Once, when driving by the Fairlawn store, I made a quick stop and my coworker who was riding with me thought I was nuts. He's now a Malley's regular. read more

Super cute ice cream and candy shop. The ice cream presentation was very cute but not the best freshest ice cream we've had. Overall a cute spot to bring the family and get a treat. read more

Where else can you enjoy a sundae while sitting on a refurbished Carousel? I grew up down the street from Malleys and I can't visit Cleveland without stopping there. It's the best hot fudge on the planet. If you don't want ice cream just drop in to buy some of their famous chocolates or candies. read more

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. My dad grew up in Cleveland and every time we visit family we make a point to stop here. They are basically an ice cream store with a gift shop. My favorite thing about this location is the carousel in the seating area. They have about 5-6 tables and it actually moves. It might be for kids but we will definitely sit there! It is so fun! You can order ice cream, sundaes, banana splits, cones and anything else you can think of ice cream wise. They have lots of flavors and toppings. Their fudge topping is probably the best I have ever had. It is hot and made from their chocolate. You can order it on the side or on your ice cream. They also give you pretzels and a cup of the hot fudge to start when you order and eat inside. The pretzels dipped in the hot fudge, O-M-G!!! this is my favorite thing and I try to redo it at home and it just does not compare. The store has lots of chocolate items, gift boxes and such. You can also purchase chocolate covered pretzels, which we also do every time we visit. This is an absolute must visit when visiting Cleveland. Not only sit inside and order ice cream but also take some chocolate home with you. read more

I've always enjoyed this "old school" ice cream parlor, but was sad to hear they no longer have Spanish Peanuts to top a classic Tin Roof. They have apparently been replaced with crushed peanuts. The staff insisted they were crushed Spanish Peanuts, but.... Change is sometimes unfortunate. read more

Highly recommend having ice cream here with kids. Sit on the carousel that turns while you enjoy. After you are seated they bring you a menu of ice cream options and a bowl of pretzels. Keeps the kids entertained while you wait. I highly recommend a simple hot fudge sundae since you get to pour the fudge on your self. Malley's is know for it. If you buy a chocolate bar before your visit they have coupons for buy one get one free hot fudge sundaes so double bonus. Great service and fun environment! read more

If you grew up in Cleveland, then you LOVE Malleys Chocolates like me! Whether you sold crunch bars for school or begged your parents for a ride on the carousel Malley's had a special place in your chocolate loving heart! So this past Saturday was Sweetest Day if you live in NE Ohio and that means one thing, chocolate covered strawberries. But...not just any strawberries, strawberries from Malley's dipped in rich milk chocolate and a whopping 80 calories per bite! I woke up early, waited for the officer y to o waive me through traffic and I was in. The smell of chocolate covered goodness hits you when the door swings open, rock candy suckers, chocolate foils, Malley Ohs, billy bobs and more...and ice cream! There is so much to choose from so run don't walk when you need to get someone a special treat, mail it to them, the counter girls will wrap it up in Malleys signature wrapping paper and don't forget the iconic pink and green bags! read more

Visited five Malley's locations and this was the only that was fully stocked in everything I needed for gift baskets for Easter. Inside they had closed the ice cream parlor and seating area due to Wuhan Coronavirus. The staff were very friendly. The parking lot is tough to navigate and I saw two patrons almost crash rushing in off a busy Lorain Rd. Price wise they are very expensive. Quality is there but you pay a high price for their quality. That's why for our family it's limited to one visit per year, usually being Easter as it's the most important holiday in Christian faith. read more

First time here. This place has a very unique vibe to it. It's almost like stepping back in time. It's a pink paradise. This location has ice cream. The menu is large, lots of ice cream sundaes to choose from. They offer you water and pretzels. I tried the original hot fudge sundae because I wanted to try Malley's homemade hot fudge. It is delicious. It's not too sugary at all. The whip cream tastes homemade as well and doesn't taste sugary either. The ice cream is very creamy and thick. It is definitely a treat. The only drawback might be price. Everything for a regular sundae is charged separate, including whip cream. read more

SORTA RECOMMENDED This place is run by a lot of teenagers. There were about 8 of them in there and never anyone to help you. When someone did come over though he was very polite. The (3) bowls of ice cream we ordered took forever. It was good ice cream though. The candy is really good too. Overall we had fun, I just wouldn't run there. read more

OMG! OMG! I've been here a few times in the past and haven't thought anything more of their ice cream than ordinary. And then... I discovered their Bordeaux sundae. OMG! OMG! The menu describes toffee ice cream with almonds, crushed bordeaux chocolate candy, whipped cream and chocolate fudge until your heart's content. I was like, "okay, that sounds good." Then the server brings this HUGE punch bowl of ice cream heaven with a side of warm chocolate fudge. Look at the photo! Crazy! I could've shared this thing with the whole family and everyone would've been stuffed. Drizzled it with the warm fudge, untucked my belt and off I went. WoW!! I'm getting this from now on every time I come to Malley's. The 5 stars is really more specific to the Bordeaux sundae than everything else they served... of course, coupled with the great service (they start you off with an appetizer of pretzels and dipping fudge) and the carousel, which is just such a hit with the kids. Definitely a fun place to take the family... or maybe a date. read more

So excited to try Malley's ice cream. I had a coupon for BOGO hot fudge sundaes from the back of a candy bar. I decided it would be fun to try it. I got a chocolate chip cookie dough and my friend got Oreo and we both had hot fudge on top. Portion sizes were good and hot fudge is served on the side. They also give you complimentary pretzels. read more

What a treat! If I was local I would probably buy gifts here often. You can order gift boxes or lots of individual items. I took home a bag full for gifts. And don't hesitate to ask for samples! The fudge, oh my!! Malley's began in 1936. It was the middle of the Great Depression but Mike Malley dreamed of owning a chocolate business. He borrowed $500 and several years later, there are locations all over Cleveland and surrounding areas. This is the only one with a carousel (located in North Olmstead right by the airport) where guests can also enjoy ice cream, which is also very beloved. read more

This place used to be amazing but now its not even worth going to. The ice cream menu is pathetic now with no specialty sundaes and half of the flavors are crossed off. Even the candy selection isn't as good as it used to be. Don't waste your time, just go to Mitchells or Webers for ice cream instead. read more

I believe the universe balances itself out. For all good, there is bad. Well, for the Pink Nightmare that Aunt Clara unleashed on Ralphie, Malley's Chocolates is the Pink Dream to even it out. Whenever I enter the door, I instantly become the biggest kid in the candy shop. Delights for one and all exist here, (yes, even for those who can't have sugar!), and they're well worth it. The chocolate bars are sensational - from the basic CLE bar to the chocolate pretzel. This location is particularly cool - the carousel is very old school and sitting on this rotating stage gives you a chance to show off your amazing sugar haul to the entire store. (Make sure to also give your best "royalty waive" as you slowly spin around!) On top of it, it's a proper soda fountain with great ol' timey drinks, tasty ice cream, and adorable candy-laden sundaes. Malley's is also great for birthday parties and fundraisers. ($1 chocolate bars? Sign me up. Bet you can't eat just one!) read more

An Ohio treasure! We popped in right after I stepped off of the plane. Sweet Nancy was incredibly helpful with samples and sweet words to help us select some delicious treats! I cleaned house. Actually we visited this store twice because I was so impressed. They have every combination of chocolate treats that you could ever green off. Stock up here because I spotted some of these treats at the airport- super pricey! Wonderful place! read more

Always a favorite! They have the best chocolate in the world! Recently, their hours were cut and they have much less variety in the store. I hope they manage to survive this terrible COVID year that has hurt so many small businesses. Their chocolate covered Oreos and raisins are my favorite. Their chocolate covered pretzels and French mints are delicious as well. If you have out of town visitors, you should pick up chocolate from Malley's and really impress them! read more

Malley's is a Cleveland staple! There are so many good things here, it is hard to recommend just a few but here goes. Must try: Their fudge sauce: oh my gosh, it is chocolate heaven, I can eat it by the spoonful! Who needs ice cream! Superman ice cream: It was my favorite as a child and is still one of my favorites now (not to be used with the fudge sauce, I've tried it) Pretzel bars: who knew something so simple would be so good! Chunks of pretzel in dark or milk chocolate... Yum! All of these things can be found at any Malley's. What makes the north Olmsted location the best?!? The moving carousel, makes you feel like a kid in a candy shop ;) read more

Malley's Chocolates - A giant pretzel crunch bar! Could it get any better?!? - Chocolatiers & Shops Near Me - North Olmsted, Ohio

An absolute Cleveland institution for chocolate (CHOC); Malley's Chocolates provides some of the best chocolates the city has to offer. The North Olmsted location (along with Bay Village, Lakewood, and Mentor), however, also offers Malley's ice cream. At 45, there's still nothing like heading to Malley's, now with kids of my own, and sitting on the carousel enjoying one of their guilty pleasures. The Black & White sundae is my personal favorite, but I can vouch for all of them; they're delicious; each and every one. If you're from the area, you probably don't need to read a review to know that Malley's is great, but if you're new to the area, or happen to be passing through town and looking for some chocolates or some ice cream, stop in at Malley's. I'm sure you will love it. read more

Certainly smitten with the Mallys ice cream parlors. This one in particular. Lots of fun with the young ones sitting in the Mary go round. Malley's Chocolates - Chocolatiers & Shops Near Me - North Olmsted, Ohio

Had such a fun time with my family going to Malley's for ice cream. It is adorable inside and features a slow spinning carousel with tables. It reminds me of an old fashioned ice cream parlor. The menu was extensive and had so many delicious options; it was hard to choose! I ended up going with a frozen strawberry ice cream sundae with a side of hot fudge and whipped cream. It was delicious! My only complaint is I wish it came in a larger bowl because it was a bit hard to eat without making a mess. Three of my family members got the brownie sundae option with cookies and cream ice cream and hot fudge with whipped cream. They loved it. The last family member got an ice cream soda. He seemed to enjoy it but thought that some other places made them a bit better. Definitely would visit again!! read more

This place is always a fan favorite! Went there with the Family after the night out and it was such a sweet treat to the end of the night. (No pun intended) the chocolate and vanilla ice cream was delicious. Just a warning though 90% of the staff is younger high school students so do not be aware if you see all of their friends in there hanging around. They aren't a bother just a younger crowd on weekend nights. Overall love this place and can't wait to go back to get my chocolate covered Oreos! read more

I love you Malley's. Sweet and Simple, there it is. What I would like is for you to update your stores. Specifically this location. PS Malley's even if you don't update, I'll still tout you as the best chocolate....evah!!!! read more

This Malley's location is the most nostalgic for me, with a full-sized carousel to eat ice cream on and walls and tables lined with candy. Malley's makes the best hot fudge sauce, and sells it to take home too. The Bordeaux Sundae is my current favorite of the ice cream selection, and the homemade peanut butter cups (way better than Reese's) are my favorite of the candy. Their ice cream portions are huge; I order the child's portion of the Bordeaux and it's still more than plenty. During peak hours, you have to be lucky to get a seat on the carousel, but there are several other (stationary) tables at which to sit throughout the shop. read more

Best chocolate in Cleveland, prob Ohio. Prices are getting g out of control but that is everywhere. Still worth it.

Not a local-have my favorite shop at home which has been in business for 70 yrs. Malley's did not disappoint. Chocolate assortment was delicious especially the covered honeycomb type candy (big plus that was colored pink inside for Valentine's Day) and the chocolate covered nuts which tasted sweet and salty at the same time. The nuts were crunchy and fresh! Service was fast and friendly. read more
