Very fun place! We saw this at the Zoo and thought we'd visit the original location. Very convenient, similar to an ice cream shop set up. Lots of choices tho, but they make it easy to make a decision by walking you through the steps. Small was big enough for each of us. The picnic tables were thought-through with the cut-outs to put your bowls in. Very fun and the flavors are very pronounced. If we were closer, we'd visit more frequent.

    Menu as of 8/2022.

A nice change of pace from ice cream! Refreshing and very flavorful! Stopped by on a hot day last week for the first time. Ordered a small shaved ice for $4.99. I chose the Front Street combination, which is orange dreamsicle, strawberry, and mango. Sat at the picnic tables outside that have custom holes for the shaved ice bowls. Shared with my boyfriend. Really good and what we needed on a hot day!

Blue and red is cherry and vanilla and the other is the front street. These are both size large with snow cap.

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this for a long time and we finally stopped! Neither one of us have ever had shaved ice before so we didn't quite know what to expect. I had my mind set on someone snow cone like- hard and icy. This couldn't have been further from that! We both got a large- he got cherry and vanilla and I got the front street. I have to say- his was A LOT better than mine. The flavors in the front street were strawberry mango and dreamsicle. After eating it- I'm still not sure how to describe what dreamsicle tastes like. I was expecting an oranges and cream situation- but I have no idea what this actually is. This is pretty much how I felt about all of my flavors. None of them were distinct. My boyfriend's, on the other hand, at an awesome cherry flavor and the vanilla came through well. He agreed that his was much better than mine and we had a good laugh about it! We both added the snow cap with mixed reviews. He loved it- I wouldn't get it again. Just too sweet for me- but it was good! The best part of this treat is the texture- it is so cool. It's almost soft and creamy while being light as air at the same time. This isn't my typical sweet treat so I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but it's a nice spot when you're in the area or on a hot day!

This was my first time going here with my buddies. They had been previously and raved about how good it was. I love ice, I love shaved ice, I love snow cones. Sounds like a match made in all the Heavens! We got there and there were OPTIONS! I looked at the menu before hand so I could know what I wanted BUT it's Shark Week and they had Shark Week themed ones! I stuck to my original choice but I will try a different one every time I go! I got a wooden spoon with mine. It was so good and soft. I got the Banyan Tree which was Lime, Lemon and Sour Apple (my fav). It was tangy, sweet and delicious! You have the option of adding other goodies too like vanilla ice cream but I no like vanilla ANYTHING so I hard passed on that. I didn't think it would be as soft as it was. It was like fluffy cold clouds. So delicious. If you're looking for a cold treat and are in the area (or in one of their other areas), stop by. You won't be sorry!!!

This is my new obsession and I'm so sad it took me too long to find it. Even more sadly, Queenie T and I visited on their last weekend open. 808 Shave Ice is only open seasonally and is currently temporarily closed for winter as of October 2019. 808 Shave Ice is an authentic Hawaiian shave ice stop. This isn't one of those stops at the fair where they basically pour sugar flavor over ice. I had a lemon and lime combo and added mochi. It was the most oddly satisfying dessert I've ever had in Northeast Ohio. It wasn't a sugar bomb, but instead had a refreshing flavor. If someone would have told me 6 months ago I would enjoy eating ice I probably would have laughed at them. From their website: "Shave Ice is a dessert made by shaving blocks of ice into a fine, snow like texture. The ice is then coated with our house made flavoring that absorbs into each and every bite. Shave Ice differs from snow cones in terms of texture, as our ice is shaved, not crushed. As a result, the flavoring is absorbed evenly throughout the product. Our flavors are flown in directly from Hawaii and hand mixed daily in our shop. Most of our flavors are made from fruit purees. We proudly pledge to use only pure 100% Cane Sugar." Fair prices, unique concept, and super cute place to bring friends, family or a date. I'm in love. I'll be back!

I've always been a chocolate over candy kind of gal. I figured the same would apply to my frozen treats--always ice cream over popsicles, slushies, shaved ice, etc... until today. Wow, on a hot day this was the most perfect and refreshing treat. I chose the Front Street which was a dreamsicle, mango and strawberry concoction and it SLAPPED! ...Not cloyingly sweet but fresh and full of fruity flavor. I don't know how they get the consistency of the ice so smooth and light but somehow they do and I'm not asking any questions! All I know is I'll definitely be back on repeat this summer. The complimentary pup bowl was also a nice touch that my pug appreciated greatly.

808 Shave Ice lives up to its billing, this could be the next big thing to start popping up all over. Located on Lorain Road across from the Fairview Park library is a cool looking shop with rough cut timber siding. The parking lot is very small and triangle shaped so it is hard to navigate, plus if you arrive at the wrong time the line can be very long, but it is worth navigating these issues because the product is that good. You order at the window, there are small and large sizes, with a plethora of flavors; you can pick your own combination of 3 sauces or use one of the combinations they have created. The ice is shaved from a circular block that is spun around and results in a light fluffy ice that most closely resembles powder snow; a vast improvement from the old school sno cones. They pack the shaved ice into a large ball in a colorful dish and then pour on the toppings. I tried a small Lahaina Luna which has Pineapple, Coconut and Banana flavors, plus I added the snowcap (condensed sweetened cream). The light texture of the ice and bright colored syrups results in beautiful looking treat, one of the prettiest desserts I have seen. I ate inside where they have acrylic holders that elevate the treat to a perfect height. Because of the way the ice is shaved the syrup is distributed evenly and the air in the snow results in a cool, but not freezing treat, perfect on a hot day, but still enjoyable when the weather is cooler. The syrups are all distinctive, with different bites having different flavors; you can identify each fruit flavor, the sweetness level is there, but not overwhelming. At the bottom you get to the well of extra syrup which is a nice finish to the treat. I was extremely impressed with 808 Shaved Ice and will get back when I can. This is a great alternative to ice cream, although you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom for an extra $1, I would strongly recommend 808 Shaved Ice to everyone.

My boyfriend and I found this place last summer and went every week! We LOVED everything about this place. I tried almost every flavor on the menu!

Tigers blood, tamarind, guava. We got it snow capped with ice cream on the bottom.
    Lin H.

I'm intrigued and I would return! It is reminiscent of a cold treat I would eat while in Taiwan. This is the closest I have come to experiencing that again in Ohio. It's not the same thing but it's good enough! I loved the tamarind flavor option. Getting it snow capped meant having sweetened condensed milk drizzled on top. Yummmmmmm. So as far as I can tell, the flavors and combinations are great. It is a little pricey but I guess that's just the cost of having the novelty of Hawaiian ice

Something new and unique for dessert. Shaved ice is popular out west but having a local spot in Fairview Park is great for the community. I'm not a shaved ice fan but tagged along with family and of course tried theirs. The concept is easy. Pick your size. Pick up to 3 flavors. Choose ice cream on the bottom, or not. Choose a topping, or not. My husband picked a pre planned flavor combo in Ohana which was cotton candy, vanilla coconut and pina colada. My son chose to pick his own flavors: Blue raspberry, peach and sour cherry. Stopped in at 7:15pm and the line was short. You must order outside, then you can sit outdoors or inside. The indoors is cute with a focus on Ohio... absolutely love the Ohio shaped tables. The colorful shaved ice and the fresh authentic flavors make this a fun choice when compared to a traditional ice cream spot.. which they are not. They also sell bags of loose leaf teas. Currently on sale for 50% off as they plan to repackage. My big complaint is lack of a system to assist people who do not want to purchase shaved ice. For example I stopped earlier in the day to purchase a gift card and was told I could not purchase it from the inside that I had to go outside and wait in the long line of people ordering shaved ice because they only have one register. Place is clean and workers are friendly and nice.

808 is the bees' knees! I've never had shaved ice that is so smooth in texture and delicious. They have so many different flavors so there is something for everyone. The world needs more 808 shave ice places!

Let's be honest, I was skeptical about this place. I mean, syrup dumped over ice? But a friend recommended I stop here after a hike one day and I am so glad I did! I went with a small shaved ice for $4.95. I chose tiger blood and pina colada for my flavorings. The price might seem high, but the small is huge! Definitely something you could share. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty this refreshing treat was. The ice is shaved and not crushed which really made a difference in texture. And the flavorings didn't have that too sugary artificial taste to them either. Perfect stop on a sunny day! My friend says if you add ice cream it's even better.

    Queenie T.

Absolutely delicious! I have always been hesitant to try shaved ice due to past bad experiences, but 808 restored my faith. The customer service here is amazing and the menu is even better. There are so many flavors to choose from (lime is the best!) and free refills for syrups if you wanted more. So glad I found this place!

Each person was pleasant and smiling. However, speed and efficiency were not their concerns. During my more than 15 minutes of presence, I witnessed duplicate orders, confusion about what was made and what was pending, and a sense of general uncertainty. Also, they did not use sound covers to minimize the noise. I pointed out this was to protect their ears. Then, I caught myself, deciding to place this here. The ambiance was clean, with a mix of music and a slow trickling of people (and when you look for me in the footage, I'm in the pink dress). I ordered an 800-lb gorilla sans frozen yogurt, substituting almond milk for soy and soy protein for whey. I also added kale, a medium beet, carrot, orange, and ginger juice. I appreciate that each time an employee presented an order, they apologized for the wait. They were all very nice, respectful, humble, and incredibly kind. It's just as slow as molasses on a cold winter day. LOL I walked out at 2:01.

I expected the usual bright, smooth, and naturally sweet flavor of fresh orange juice. Instead, the juice I received was bitter, highly acidic, and frankly unpleasant. When I asked about it, I found out they don't use the proper machine that extracts juice from peeled oranges--instead, they simply cut up whole oranges and toss them (peel and all!) into the juicer. This might sound harmless, but there are several problems with this approach: * Orange peels are extremely bitter and not meant to be consumed in large quantities in juice form. * The peel contains essential oils like limonene, which can irritate the stomach and make the juice taste harsh. * Most citrus peels--especially on non-organic oranges--can carry wax, pesticides, and other residues, which are definitely not what I want in my juice. * The high fiber content from the peel can make the juice gritty or pulpy, especially if the juicer isn't designed to handle it. Honestly, this felt like a lazy shortcut, and it really affected the quality of the drink. If you're looking for clean, smooth, naturally sweet orange juice, be cautious when ordering here. You may want to ask how it's made before spending your money. I've had great experiences at other Pulp locations, but this one missed the mark--especially for something as basic as orange juice.

I was excited to see the curbside option because I am still wary of going in establishments given the unpredictability with the pandemic. I will say my excitement went down with each leg of the experience and I will tell you why. The first thing I noticed was no prices or ingredients on the menu. I didn't think *too* much of this upfront because I expect a nutrient focused product to be more pricy then say a tea at a local chain. I was bothered by the lack of listed ingredients. I think they rely on the look of their product on instagram. They will post a delicious looking shake, call it half-baked, and rely on your mind wandering to delicious treats by the same name. When I seek something health conscious, the first thing. I look at is the ingredients. I did throw this out the window, though, and decided to try tea anyway because it was a super hot day. I called to place my order, like it says online, and someone answered the phone and said "hello?". No "West Park Nutrition" no "How can I help you?" nothing. This threw me off because I thought I called the wrong number. I said I wanted to place an order and she simply said "text me and I'll get it ready for you". Red flag number two, but I simply attributed this to being more of a young, new school kind of place. I texted my order and then texted the same number when I arrived. For all other curbside experiences I've done in the last few months you notify them when you get there. I got a response after about 5 minutes that said "did you come in? by the way, we don't have one of the flavors you ordered". This is a big red flag number three for me because I would not have ordered if I knew I had to go inside. I assumed curbside and carry out meant that curbside orders were brought out to you. Nevertheless, I went inside to follow through with my order. I adjusted my flavor and worked with the guy behind the counter who was very nice. He was apologetic about the miscommunication between flavors that were in stock and I assured him it was no big deal. He handed over my teas (I ordered 2 large teas) and I found out at check out that my total was almost $20. I will say I can't imagine any other instance where I would pay this much for 2 teas, let alone ones where I didn't know the ingredients. Our teas were tasty enough, but they were almost reminiscent of a pre-work out kind of taste. While those can ne "tasty" for a pre work out, they aren't something I sip on for enjoyment. I drink aloe daily, and that's not the flavor I was picking up. I wanted to love this place, and I may return in the future, but definitely not at this location. It was unclear if you order tea as a pair to a shake, or if they are priced separately. If they come together as a package, I was not advised of that when I ordered or when I said I had never been in before. The whole process was confusing, disjointed, and way over priced in my opinion. If you are looking for a potentially "healthier" option to like a traditional shake, this may be your place. It's hard to say given the lack of ingredients. I would say don't be drawn in by social media and the promise of curbside like I was. Go in, ask questions, and get the information before you go through with an order. I would do that differently knowing what I know now!

Coming from California, where the food scene is extremely competitive, it can be hard to find places in Cleveland that consistently deliver fresh, quality ingredients, but this spot has been a pleasant surprise so far. Grand Opening was on June 2, 2025! Frappe Artesanal has another location in Kissimmee, FL, but ours is better! Why? As I learned, CLE location combines Paradise Cakes and Frappe Astesanal (double the sugar and fun!) Here's the scoop! The atmosphere at this cafe is very festive! Latin music is blasting outside! This cafe is a little humble takeout destination. There is very limited seating inside. There are pops of color in its menu and on its walls. Funky cupcake walls are so fun! The cafe is bilingual (Spanish-English) in terms of the menu and customer service. All guests at the cafe were Latin and super excited about this concept! Pricing seemed very reasonable compared to other similar eateries (although there are strange charges on the receipt). Customer service was friendly, they answered all of my curious questions about the new concept in a friendly manner. The cafe has many fun food and drink options - bowls, frappes (multiple categories including those containing coffee, fruits, chocolate, cookies, candy, and nuts), cheesecake bowls, Van Gogh drinks, and even keto smoothies! More importantly Dubai chocolate options - bowls, smoothies, and cups! CLE location sells a variety of products from Paradise Cakes. Those include tres leches and other sweets stored in the coolers. I learned that Paradise cakes are famous Puerto Rican treats around the city (also sold at Save A Lot and other locations). You can order right at the counter, the orders are prepared in the kitchen and available fairly quickly. My order: -Dubai Frappe ($8.63 with $1 processing fee for credit card use) - The base was strawberry slushie which seemed too watery and bland. I don't think that real strawberries were used. The ingredients were fire - chocolate lining, real pistachio, and pistachio base. The frappe was delicious. It gets even better at the bottom of the cup when you taste pistachio paste and pistachios. It's not a frappe (meaning coffee) in its traditional sense. I can't say that this was the best Dubai chocolate I've tried in our city, but it was very good. -Paradise Cakes Quesito Pastry ($6.49 with $1 processing fee for credit card use) - Flakey, glossy, super fresh pastry with cream cheese. It is beyond amazing! I could easily have many of these! The box had 6 pastries, so they're shareable. Very reasonable price! Cons: - No bathroom for customers to use - No outdoor or indoor comfy seating to sip frappes - Very overwhelming menu, so many choices. Check my photos of the menu or browse the menu at their FL location - Challenging parking in the area - No dedicated website for CLE (except Facebook - Frappe Artesanal Cleveland) - Confusing item charges (each of my receipts had 3 different taxes - 5.75%, 1.25%, 1%) As far as hours, I confirmed the following hours with the cafe: - Monday to Thursday 12:30-9:00pm - Friday and Saturday 12:30-10:30 - Sunday 12:30-9:00 Overall, I plan to come back to order more quesito pastries and try tres leches cakes! I also want to experience Van Gogh drinks! Oh, and more vibrant drinks!

They have a large menu for breakfast and lunch. The menu includes many vegan items. The vegan item up charge is very minimal compared to other places I have been. I would recommend the breakfast Sammy. We had both the vegan option and non vegan option at our table and they were very good. The sandwich is totally customizable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As with many Lakewood establishments you do have to park on the street.

I bought some Guardians Cold Brew, which was good, but not necessarily what I wanted... But here is my review on the items that they could actually control. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite for lunch, we were pleasantly surprised to be able to walk right up to the counter to order our lunch as no one else was at the counter at lunch time on a Tuesday! I order some kind of egg white sandwich on an everything bagel, and he ordered a Pesto Chicken Sandwich on a GF Tortilla wrap. 20 minutes later.....we received out order: My egg sandwich was ok - but because it was only egg whites, I discovered that I really like the yolks! The bagel itself was ok, but tasted like a plain bagel. I had never heard of the place they get their bagels from (Bialy's bagels) so I looked it up and discovered that they are closed Monday-Tuesday, so wondering if my lack of flavor was because these were older bagels from a Sunday delivery?? My husband's Pesto Chicken Sandwich did not have any Pesto - so he inquired and was told that they "ran out" of Pesto, but they offered him some kind of chipotle sauce, which he enjoyed. Being GF, I feel he always has to settle - but he did not settle here - he LOVED his sandwich and cannot wait to go back.

Besides smoothies, they sell ginger shots, snacks, energy drinks (but the natural ones), and salads. SMOOTHIES -- If you love health and wellness then you'll like their smoothies which are all made fresh, in-house. So far, I believe I've tried either the 'Total Energy' ($6.50) or 'Total Energy Plus' ($7.50) and ' Carlos Detox' ($7.50). The ingredients are clean and simple (greens with fruit or just fruit alone). Some smoothies have peanut butter, almond milk, orange juice, and even coffee in them. PARKING -- Park in the shopping plaza parking lot where Chipotle and Marcs grocery store is located which is just across the street from this Juicery. Although, it's easier and cheaper for me to make my own green smoothies at home, I can definitely see myself coming back at some point in 2023 when I need a quick drink. **** - 6/150 total reviews in 2023 - 557 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 January 2023
