You can go there with questions or to look for an obscure fit, anything out of the ordinary and they will be your best bet. I needed parts for a project and the other two stores in the area really didn't know how to cross reference or match a certain belt. Douglas should have been my first choice. It was nothing at all for them to find what I needed. They are worth the extra five minute drive for me.

Last visit they charged me $100 to top off air in my tires, something my diesel provider does for free. $800 to repair a crack in a shower skylight. It would have cheaper to just replace it, and I now still have an old, patched skylight. Serviced the furnace and created a gas leak due to a loose fitting. I had to return ( 140 mile round trip ) and a day out of work to have it corrected.

I was able to find just the part I wanted, but couldn't tell entirely if it was the right color/fit from the photos available on Robertson's website. So I called, and discovered that there was no problem coming down, going into the yard (just need to be sure you're wearing closed-toe shoes), identifying the part and then pulling it with my own tools. The staff helped me bring it back out of the yard. I don't think that Robertson's is usually a U-Pull yard, but the point is that if you call them and are reasonable I think they'll work hard to help you out. Just what I'd expect from any service-oriented family business. Finally, I'll just add that they have A LOT more inventory than what's posted on the website. This is a huge place. And to respond to the other reviewer who's complaining about the lack of weekend hours...well, I've found that most salvage yards and old-school businesses like this are not open on weekends. That may be a bummer, but it's the industry norm, so I wouldn't take it out on this place in particular.

When ordering I even asked the rep if the motor was working and she said yes. Once I ordered, I never received any timeline as far as when it'll be ready for pickup. I called to get an estimate and was told that it should be ready in a few hours but someone will call me to confirm. I waited all day with no one contacting me. I called the next morning and was told that it was ready for pickup. Mind you it's about a 42 minute drive to Wareham from my house. Once I arrived I got the receipt and went down to the shop for my order. The guy there brought out a manual sliding glass. Immediately I told him this isn't what I ordered and he basically told me to go talk to someone upstairs and complain there. I went back upstairs and was told that they sold me an incorrectly inventoried part and that they never actually had a power sliding glass. They did provide a refund but basically said sorry there's nothing else we can do. I gave this place a shot despite the existing bad reviews and had a pretty bad experience. If you live nearby, might be worth checking out but if you have to drive 30+ min, I wouldn't bother in the likelihood you get screwed. Look for alternatives, if possible.

My wife and I drive two Subarus, a '24 Solterra and a '19 Outback so we've worked with Karoline on several occasions. She's always been pleasant and very efficient. Yesterday, while working with a different advisor I witnessed her patient, problem solving approach with a woman who was very adamant about not wanting to spend extra money on a recommended repair. Karoline explained the reasoning behind the repair and handled a difficult conversation beautifully. Last year I had a problem with the passenger side window on our Outback. Previously I had taken it in to service for some attention but had to return it because the fix didn't last. I talked to Karoline about it and she asked if I would be okay with her looking at it. I agreed and she went out and fixed the problem for me. I was impressed that she would go out of her way to do that for me. At any rate, I thought you should know. I bought a 2018 Rav 4 limited that had just been traded in. Car was immaculate with low mileage. After I bought it they notified me they were putting 4 new tires on and front and rear brake pad before handling it over. I thought the existing tires looked good and never noticed the brakes needing anything. They could have easily gotten away without doing this and I would have not known. Overall I had a great experience and this is the very first positive experience I've ever written about a car dealership. I spoke with a Chris, and asked him about doing the rebuild. He said sure but that he would be busy over the next couple days. So I asked if I waited a week and brought it down then would he be able to work on it. He confirmed that he could, and I set up a drop off time. I show up at the drop off time and walk into the shop. I wasn't sure if I was at a business or the mall, as it seemed to just be a hangout for 15 year old kids. I asked to speak to Chris and told him who I was, and he had no idea who I was or even remembered our conversation about my ATV. I was weary about leaving it with him now, but I did so based on the recommendation I was given in the first place to go there. I asked for a time frame and was told "a week or so". I gave him a $100 deposit to begin the work. A week goes by and I hear nothing. I call and leave a voicemail, and get no response. Two weeks go by, no calls. I call and leave another voicemail. Three weeks now and no call. I call repeatedly for a few days until I get an answer, and finally Chris answers the phone, and he says he just started pulling the ATV apart. I asked him why just now since I made the appointment for him to work on it 3 weeks ago. The only answer I received was that "something came up". He tells me he is going to need a few more days. Another week goes by, no call. I call them, and Chris answers the phone, and he puts the phone down, and I can hear him and another guy talking to each other in the background saying, "you tell him, I'm not going to tell him". He finally gets back on the phone and tells me they have done nothing further with the ATV. Since there is nothing I can do but be perplexed at the extreme unprofessional nature of this "business", I tell him I will be there tomorrow to pick up my ATV. No apology, just an "ok" followed by a click of the phone. To top it all off, I have to drive a half hour down to pick up my ATV, and it's now dissected and given back to me in boxes. I get my ATV, boxes of random parts, and $100 deposit, and then a week later, I get a call saying that they forgot to give me a part. So now I have to drive back down there again due to their incredible incompetence. This place takes the cake for not having any clue on what they are doing. Do yourself a favor and take your motorsports to a qualified reputable shop and skip right over these kids.
