Some things they were right about others they were wrong so in short I wouldn't go back again! They told me all my brake pads were gone. When we took them off there was more than half the pads left. When I thought I could trust them. I went there for quite a few jobs. read more

I contacted them at 3pm to see if i coukd get an inspection sticker today. the person said open until 5 and not a problem suggesting arrival by 4:30. steady all day but not too crazy busy i left my job arriving at exactly 4pm where i was rudly told they " were full up" and no more inspections I explained just an hour ago told something completly different and could i please wait. " nope , like i said full up" there was no i am sorry, alternatives to help. i have never been dismissed so rudely and will Never return we can all have bad days, but thus was beyond rude!!!! read more

Paid 350.00 after they rejected my truck and they snapped a glow plug and weren't qualified for this task,do your job put a sticker on it Massachusetts bs.don't take my money if you leave me with a vehicle that was worse off after I picked it up! All I got was cheap talk for 350. And still have to deal with getting a state inspection sticker. read more

buyer beware!!!!!!! i had my brakes done today and they quoted one price last week and after they finished today they charged a completely different price and it wasn't a small amount the price difference was over 100 more than the original quote....i am so disappointed and disgusted by this place, mostly because they were the only place i trusted and they screwed me over!! read more

I have been going there for 24 years; since Steve Sr. left it has gone downhill. The front desk person was rude, not helpful, and doubled and tripled down on trying to answer my 2 (quick), specific questions and refused to have a mechanic who worked on it help with clarification on the notes on the work that was done. I was told that they were short staffed due to the owner being out for 3 weeks and a mechanic would call me back. I left 2 more messages and never got a call back. I waited the 3 weeks, called, and got the same attitude again, from the front desk lady who is "quite knowledgeable" in her own estimation, it appears. I asked her to have the mechanic call me back and she kept insisting on giving me the same generic answers. When the new owner called me back he was even ruder than her, so that's the way they treat people now. Too bad, because it was such a nice place. I will be going to a new place that my friends recommend. read more

This place gets a 5 star rating. My kid's car broke down on Cape Cod while he was playing a show in Wareham (he's in a band). We live 2-3 hours away (depending on traffic). I had no idea who to call, who to deal with. I wanted a place that could tow AND fix. My son found this place and I called them with the details and they acted immediately. They have two major bonus points I came across... First of all, my son's car had a failed alternator. I had already replaced the alternator in that car three months prior. The garage I used the first time was one I don't normally use, but it was close to where the car broke down that time. The car limped to that garage and it was highly recommended by my bro-in-law. My bill at Access Auto Too was LESS than the one I used closer to my house. This guy had every opportunity to overcharge me because, technically, it was the vehicle of a tourist. Far from home. Easy target. He did not. His bill also included a $75 tow -- which my original bill didn't have. Second of all, the car was being covered by a warranty. They were not aware of this when they wrote out the bill. The alternator was almost new and the parts store the 1st garage bought the part from was covering the cost under warranty. He was being paid directly, I was not reimbursed. Every inch, from tow to labor. He seemed perplexed by the fact that he was being paid directly by them, but ultimately, trusted me. That means he allowed me to take the car off the lot without getting a dime from me, but believing that he would be immediately reimbursed by the parts store within the one hour timeframe. That's some guts. He was wicked personable, a real nice guy. I was impressed that he was closing his shop for an "Employee Appreciation Weekend". He actually takes his employees away to his vacation home. Man, I can't even get my company to pay for a Christmas Party. We get some sad cold cuts in the break room and a brief, weak handshake. I don't know about anyone else, but he seems like the real deal. I give him props. read more

This place is awful... My car broke down right outside this shop and is the only reason I went there.. I needed a new alternator which they did replace... About a month after it being replaced my lights kept flickering, which I found out it was my alternator (which was brand new)... I found this out through my dealership... So I went back to get it fixed and they claimed it was a faulty battery which they charged me 120 for and said that "fixed" it...I couldn't really noticed the flickering anymore but it was definitely still there... A month after that "fix" it started flickering just as bad as before... This place is a scam and they clearly don't know why they're doing.. read more

This place is great. I had an emergency situation where I needed the car fixed immediately. Called several places and these guys moved around their schedule to accommodate me. I used to be a mechanic and know quality work when I see it. They took their time and did a great job. Price was very reasonable. Honest group of guys. I would highly recommend this place. My husband has been using Access Auto for our cars for years. My husband really likes them but recently I've been suspicious they are recommending service not needed. This week my husband brought my car in for an oil change. Access recommended a tire rotation,too, during which they said my brakes had to be replaced and that they had "2 weeks left". Surprise-they could get the car in for the repair within 2 weeks. Now my car's brakes felt fine to me. So I took it for a free brake inspection at a chain that afternoon. They said brakes not needed for at least another year or 20,000 miles. My suspicions were confirmed. NOT returning to Access Auto. read more

I initially spoke with the elder Steve who apparently started this business. He does seem very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately all my work was supervised by his son Steve. .I made an appointment to change a timing belt and water pump as part of regularly scheduled maintenance. I was told this could be done in one business day. At the end of the day the younger Steve called me and told me there were problems getting the bolts free to access the timing belt and it would take another half day. When that time expired, I got no call from the younger Steve and I had to call myself at which point he told me it would take another full day of work, I really had no choice but to agree. When two and a half days had elapsed and I received no update from the younger Steve, I called him myself. He made no mention of his promise to call me or if his promise that the work will be done after 2 1/2 days. He said it was just about done and I could expect it to be ready after lunch. He never called me back later that day and I finally called at the end of the three day period. He said it was ready, I should come in to pick the car up. When I did pick it up at the end of that day , he chose that time to inform me that they had discovered a small leak in the radiator. He told me this very casually and gave me an attitude that it was my problem to fix and had nothing to do with the work they had done. I've owned many cars in my life and I've had timing belt changed many times and it is very common to discover a leak in the radiator and or water pump gasket during this repair, in all other circumstances the mechanic has done his best to solve the radiator leak before considering the job done, there is of course additional work and an additional charge, which I have always paid. Fed up, I paid the bill. I noticed that younger Steve asked me to pay the bill without ever providing any itemized bill for me and even when I asked for itemization he declined to give it to me and told me it would be provided after I paid in full. Overall, I felt as if once they had my car in the shop they would do other work, tell me they were working on my car while they worked on other cars and then clearly worked on my car at the last minute , discovering this important problem at the last hour and then dumping it back on to me. So now after three days in the shop I'm off to find a more responsible mechanic shop that will assess my radiator and hopefully in a timely manner. Overall a very poor experience. I suspect this shop has great reviews due to the hard work of the older Steve. Very unimpressed with the younger Steve who has reminded me multiple times today that he is the boss now. I wonder how the shop will fare in the years to come? Beware. read more
