You have an air machine. We put $2.25 in and the machine does not work. We walked inside to get our money back and were told "this doesn't belong to you, contact the company." I looked up the company name and it says they are permanently closed. Why do you have this machine and allow people to lose money in it if it doesn't work and the manufacturer is non existent? You should at least put a note on the machine saying it does not work so people aren't wasting their time or money. read more

I will never come here again. First time I came, I purchase gas and a wash at the pump--supposed to get $x off a wash when you buy gas. I didn't get the discount. Customer service offered me a free wash because I was overcharged. Great, right? Wrong. When I attempted to get the free wash, staff told me that I was being dishonest, that they don't give free washes, and treated me as if I was trying to rob them--for a $12 car wash. To top it off, one employee was not wearing his mask correctly and then, when it was time for him to talk to me, removed his mask completely. The other employee (near the tire side) was not wearing a mask, did not have one on the desk, and even walked through the shop with no mask on. This is in January 2021--after 10 months of being required to wear face coverings you would think they would have figured it out. I took my 2004 Cadillac to get a safety inspection. The technician decided to fail my inspection saying that my car has a transmission fluid leak and I needed to pay 400.00 to get it repaired. Needless to say I did not get anything done to my car. He said you will not make it home because all of your transmission fluid is gone....not true. I told him that my car has had expensive work done on it at Karen Radley GMC in Manassas. He decided to tell me that I should bring my car there for repairs. I thanked him for the information, but I would never take any car there for mechanical work since I believe they are not honest. As I was waiting for my car the manager came and starting talking to the technician in a foreign language. It was at that time once again the technician said he could fix the leak for 400.00. I don't drive the car, it's been parked in my driveway or on the street at my home for years. There is no remnant from a leak in either the driveway or on the street. I will be submitting my complaint to the government agencies (FTC) as well as BBB. read more

Took older car (1999) in because it had an engine oil light flickering. Repair shop replaced the oil and filter and I went on my way. Went to Costco to shop 30 min. Upon returning to vehicle, it turned but would not start. Made an appointment to bring it back to Shell for a $189 diagnostic. Recommended replacing plugs, wires, induction service, air filter bring my total bill to $686. And was assured that this would end my problems. Approve the recommended service and paid the bill. Received the car and within an hour of driving, experienced the same issue again. Bought the car back for an additional follow up and was told that they don't know. I'm out almost $700 and they just walk away. I am really disappointed and dissatisfied with my treatment but not sure what else to do. I am not a mechanic. I feel that I went to the professionals who charged me, took my money but in the end just walked away. Somehow this doesn't feel fair. At this point, all I can do is share my experience with the public. Any recommendations on what else I can do is welcomed. read more

I stopped in here on 5-15-2022 while I was visiting a friend of mine who was back in town with some framing work for me. Gas: $5.629 per gallon. The total cost for 10.011 gallons was $56.35 and that's with the $0.03 rewards discount. The parking lot had a bit of trash swirling around, but it didn't look like a dump. The entrance was a bit convoluted, but I managed. It seemed to be connected to a hotel that was adjacent to the gas station. I did have to go inside to get a receipt because the receipt part wasn't working at the pump. For those prices, I'm getting a receipt. This was a one-time thing. I can't say that I will be back UNLESS my friend happens to visit again and stays at that same hotel and I need gas. Suggestion: Fix the receipt function at the pump. read more

I used to think I could trust the shop here for my safety inspections but I won't be back. They tried to tell me my car needed all four brake pads and rotors replaced. Replaced brake pads myself and took elsewhere for the inspection and passed. I can't believe they tried to scam me out of $900. Horrible. read more

This has been my go-to gas and service station for over 10 years. Gas/inspections/emissions everything. I called before heading over to get my emissions done to see what time they closed. Whoever answered their phone was a righteous knob-goblin. I didn't even get the question out before they launched into a sarcastic condescending tirade about how he couldn't tell me anything. I bought a Groupon for an oil change here at the service center and I'm very unhappy with the service I received. The mechanic who drove my car into the garage actually popped my front tire from driving into the lift. No one apologized to me or communicated if they were going to fix it. A 1 star rating for this Shell station is 1 star too many! This was by far the worst service experience I have ever had. I took my granddaughters car there yesterday to have her low beam headlight bulb replaced. It's a very simple job that I easily could taken care of myself but I was scheduled to get my covius vaccine shot and I didn't want to take the chance that I would be late, which I made very clear to the manager on duty. From the time the mechanic opened the hood to the time he finished replacing the bulb, it was almost 40 minutes later! The charge was over $50 to diagnose the the bad bulb and $20 to install it, unbelievable!!! I paid without a word and left for my appointment. I was going to return after my appointment but I really didn't think it would do any good. This is the first review I have ever written and hopefully it will save others from having the same future experience! I obviously will never do business here again and I strongly suggest that the owner of this Shell franchise fire the entire crew and hire a crew that understands what good customer service is all about. read more

Trash. Waheed Tried to charge my wife $5 for putting a few pounds of air in her tires, she tells me about it so I call the station. Khan (forgive me if I didn't spell your name correctly) picks up the phone and I ask him about this charge which he knew nothing about. So Khan tells me to send my wife back and the money will be returned. So I send her back and Waheed wants to have an attitude with my wife like a child because he was caught stealing from the company and tried to get one over on my wife. Don't get your car inspected here - rude staff who will reject you for stupid stuff like "the amber in your light bulb isn't yellow enough"

Had a groupon and was trying to do an oil change. Called probably 8 times just to ask if I could come in for an oil change. When someone finally answered they said call back in 15. Called back and no answer. 4th time calling the guy transferred me and then it went straight to voicemail. Called again and then the guy was like "what do you want?" And I said how I've been calling for literally an hour just to ask if there was a line for the oil change and he finally says "ok you come now." I came and I was next in line. Since the time they took my car in and the time they finished took over an hour and a half. My car finished probably 40 minutes in but they were too lazy to move the car behind my car to let it out. Not to mention the hidden charges they gave me. read more

I went for an annual inspection of my BMW X3. The inspector claimed my right fog light was not operable. They wanted to charge me $45 to replace the bulb ($25 labor and $20 for the bulb). I said no. Went to Autozone, got a bulb for $16. Before I swapped out the bulb, I decided to test the lights and it worked. I switched it on and off several times, just to make sure. I went back to the gas station to complain and demand they pass the vehicle. They refused. The manager told me that I had to come back the next day because a long line of cars was ahead of me. The inspector said "I don't have time for this", "It was not working when I checked it," and "I don't know what you did to it after you left". Needless to say, I lost this argument. The service manager tried to gaslight me into believing that a speed bump must have jostled the solid state led bulb somehow brought it back to life. Unbelievable! I think the real reason for the inspection rejection is more simple and obvious. More people probable fall for it than not, but I am not afraid or incapable of working on my own vehicle. I own a small business. I believe in small business and I try to support small business whenever I can. I I ran my business like this, I wouldn't have a BMW X3. The customer at this place is terrible. I will not be returning. I didn't bother to report the inspector, although I read the statute and identified several bases for a complaint. Inspections are only $20 and I am sure this guy has to generate income for the shop. In a word: sucked read more

Very upset customer. I went to the Sudley Rd location for Manassas Auto and Tire at Battlefield Shell yesterday at 8:15 am to find the service manager was not there and probably stuck in traffic. At 8:30 he ( Mr. Kahn) walks in with no good morning, thanks for waiting, or sorry I was late. I had worked 12-7 the night before and was assured by the state inspector who was there I would be the first customer. No one else was waiting. The state inspector comes back in and had a service clipboard to Mr. Kahn with a customer behind him. Mr. Kahn completely ignored me sitting in front of him and had the car from the customer after me have his car pulled in the bay and the technician began to work on it. I sat there speechless. Then, Mr Kahn addressed me and I explained I wanted my front brake pads replaced. I showed him a coupon your company is running currently for $50 off new brake pads with a limited warranty. Mr. Kahn told me he could not honor that coupon because it was not in his computer. I said your company is offering this, he then said there was nothing he could do but he would give me $30 off if I did the pads and rotors. At this point my car is on the lift and the technician has one tire off and brings my rotor in to have Mr. Kahn tell me they need replacing as well. So, now I am being told the price went from $180 to $385. I was upset with the process so far I told Mr. Kahn to have the technician just put the wheel back on and I would go somewhere else. At this point Mr. Kahn's customer service skills went into overdrive in such a bad way. he told me I would have to pay $35 to get my car back. I told him no way that was going to happen. I told him I did not feel like a valued customer since the moment I walked in the door.He kept saying I was not getting my car back and said I was wasting his time and had to pay for it. So, maybe I wasted the technician's time but Mr. Kahn was behind a register which he would still have to do if I was not there. I told him I would call the police if he did not give me back my car. After 5 minutes he told the technician to pull my car out front and for me to get out. None of this would have happened if Mr.Khan had any customer service skills. When, I brought up I was waiting first and was not asked if I was a waiting customer and he took the other guy in first, Mr. Kahn said-It was a minor procedure the other customer was having done. He was getting a rear tail light put in, where you have to go through the back of the car-15 minutes. I told him I worked all night and he did not appreciate my time. So, I wasted my morning, my car is not fixed and a manager from a place I am trying to do business with yells and threatens not to give my car back. read more
