Sausage, egg and cheddar cheese (in egg) on a biscuit.
Sara R.

My sister and I saw a video of the huge pancake on social media and thought we'd give it a try. It's right across from the Fredericksburg National Cemetery (battlefield), so we could make an afternoon of it. It was a fun experience! The big pancake was tasty, as was sausage, egg and cheese biscuit I ate. My sister was happy with her omelet and we got a big pizza box to take our pancake home, which we barely dented. Our server, Cindy, was knowledgeable and fun. Loved 90s classics soundtrack. Note: no tipping on your card and checks are paid diner style.

Very cute "local" establishment which is a stones throw from the Fredericksburg National Battlefield. Service was excellent and breakfast was reasonably priced. The food came out quickly. The Mrs. ordered eggs (2), bacon, home fries and pancakes. The server as if she wanted a large pancake or smaller ones. She ordered "smaller." I ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy, home fries and eggs (2) over easy. We saw the server delivering a large pancake to a nearby table. LOL It must have been a minimum of 12"!!! Crazy big. Both choices were $13.99. Keep in mind, that includes coffee so we thought the prices were very reasonable. We both enjoyed it a lot. After that big breakfast, no lunch was required. I'm deducting one star because my eggs were cooked beyond "easy" and the potatoes in the home fries were diced to small for my liking.

Our Scrapple.

Sunday's are usually our morning outing for breakfast at Battlefield Restaurant, the service is usually good and the owner is really nice, but we went a couple of times when she wasn't there and it wasn't so good, so we brought it to the owner attention about our serving of scrapple that was paper thin and the people eating next to us scrapple was very thick, we are African American and the people next to us were Caucasian after three times of seeing this we started feeling some kind of way, issue was not fixed, and the apology was not sincere we will not be going back.

This is the only place I know that has scrapple and makes it nice and crispy. I love it here. Service is friendly and the food is priced correctly. The environment here feels very neighborly.

Heard about this place for a while and finally stopped in on a weekday morning... Service was great! The place is like an old style, neighborhood diner... I definitely loved the vibe. The menu is loaded with all the normal breakfast and lunch items you'd expect from an American-style (not Greek) diner. Prices are very reasonable too! But take cash for the tip, as they don't add tips to their credit card receipts. I tried their corned beef hash omelet and found it interesting to learn that they make 2 or 3 egg omelets, and the ask you which you want when you order... I've never seen this before, but I liked it... having a choice is nice when deciding how big your omelet will be! I also ordered a cup of sausage gravy with it, as it came with a biscuit. The omelet was really good! Their house-made shredded potatoes were excellent, especially with onions added! And their sausage gravy was great! The biscuit was also perfectly done. In all, this was a really nice, tasty breakfast!! Highly recommend stopping in!! Plus - you never know who you might see here... A recent national celebrity was there the morning I went... Someone who recently won "The Voice" was just having breakfast and socializing in a very chill atmosphere... Awesome!

Love this place! They are one of few places that offer turkey bacon/sausage as an option (up charge). They have the biggest pancakes I've ever seen if you decide to get those. Love the fried potatoes as well. They staff is always nice as well. Today one of the staff assisted me with carrying my food to my vehicle bc I had purchase those huge pancakes. Definitely a must try

We were seated right away on their patio, which was very cozy with heaters and fire pits. The menu sounded great and they had a lot of featured brunch items that were a little fancier. I went with the sausage, egg, and cheese on English muffin with a side of cheesy grits. Our food came out pretty quickly, but one of the sandwiches was wrong, which they fixed right away. The sandwich was basic but tasty, and adding hot sauce made it even better. I loved the cheesy grits - they were more coarse than other grits I've had but I still really liked them. I had a few bites of Nate's sandwich, the New Jersey sunrise (Taylor ham, home fries, two fried eggs and American cheese), which was very hearty and tasty. Service was decent, they were pretty busy so we did have to ask for a few things, but we had a nice time. I'm putting this spot on my list of places to revisit when we're back in the area.

My friends enjoyed their meal as well and they do also have cocktails.

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!

They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.

The brunch menu has a nice assortment of delicious items to choose from. They also have a full brunch cocktail list (Bloody Mary, Mimosa, etc). I was interested in a Bloody Mary, but service seemed to be a little amiss while we were there as the bartender wasn't there and the server wasn't able to tell us about the Bloody Mary (do they make their own mix, description, etc), so we just opted for water with brunch. The brunch items we got were all amazing! Their sausage gravy is made with chorizo, which adds a very nice, smokey touch to the typical biscuits and gravy and it came out with a pair of perfectly poached eggs. Their burger was beautiful and perfectly made and the beef was a very tasty, nice blend. The buns was incredible! Their fried chicken sandwich was excellent as well. Great batter, tender and moist chicken, and the toppings were great too. French fries were piping hot and flavorful too. So, the food was great, but the service was amiss. Would we return? Most definitely! I just mark up these services issues to having freshly opened for the day and maybe being a little short staffed. Hopefully the next visit would hit on all cylinders.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. First, let's start off with the wait. I'm used to waiting for a table at Sedona especially on a Saturday, but today the wait was extra long. Once we sat and ordered appetizers it took over 40 minutes to get our apps. To make matters worse our nachos came out with the cheese not even melted and with barely any protein. Seeing as this was not the first time I ordered nachos I was extremely upset. To address the issue I had to leave my outside table and walk inside to the hostess to see if they could locate my server as she never came and checked on us. We didn't see her for over 50 minutes :-/ The only star of today's lunch were the Thai glazed wings. My husband ordered the land and sea and steak was overcooked. My devils pass pasta was okay, but extremely greasy. The manager did stop by to offer something for the nacho issue which we appreciated. Sedona you need to work on hiring more staff to make things run smoothly. You seem to be understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning for a long time. Also forgot to add that the strawberry tres leches cake is extremely dense and flavorless. Did not enjoy and do not recommend.

Our waitress passed our table four times without stopping to provide an update on our food or apologize for the extensive wait time. We were finally able to get her attention and politely asked about the status of our order. Without an apology or acknowledgment of our experience, she responded that she would tell the chefs to "rush" our order. We never asked for our food to be rushed -- we simply wanted an update because we had already been waiting far longer than expected. When our food was eventually brought out by another staff member, it was cold after nearly two hours of waiting. At that point, my husband asked to speak with the manager because not only was the wait time unacceptable, but the food was also cold. The manager eventually came to our table, apologized for the delay, and offered to discount the meal. My husband thanked him for the apology, but by that point, we decided the experience was not worth salvaging. We told the manager we did not want the cold food or watered-down drinks. Not only was our Mother's Day celebration ruined, but the lack of accountability from the staff and the poor customer service made the entire experience extremely disappointing. Service: The first impression was a little mixed. The hostess wasn't very welcoming when we asked about a booth for our family of five (two adults and three younger kids) and didn't seem open to exploring the option. Thankfully, our server, DeQuandre (Deq?), completely turned that around. He was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. We appreciated his visits as he was energetic and very hospitable, highly recommend asking for him when you visit. Food: We started with the buffalo dip. It comes with chips, but Deq was awesome and add some pita, which was a great call. The pita was slightly crisped (almost lightly fried) but still soft inside and paired perfectly with the dip, which had great flavor and good chunks of chicken. For burgers, we ordered the Spicy Wrangler (March 2026 Burger of the Month) and the Whiskey Burger. The Wrangler had a lot going on but the flavors worked well together. The Whiskey Burger was delicious, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but the bacon was excellent. Only critique would be the burgers were slightly underdone even for medium, but still enjoyable. The onion rings were a standout, though the breading-to-onion ratio leaned a little heavy. The fries were decent but nothing particularly great about them. Atmosphere: Casual and open, but fairly loud. Even though it wasn't very busy for a Sunday lunch, the music and bar noise made it a little difficult at times to hear others at our table. I wouldn't consider this a date night type atmosphere, more casual open dining. Drinks: Solid beer selection with enough variety for most tastes, plus a small cocktail menu and a selection of wines. Overall: Harry's Downtown is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're in the mood for a good burger, or consider yourself a bit of a burger enthusiast, it's definitely worth checking out. This visit was positive enough to plan another visit to explore other delicious sounding menu items. We'll definitely be requesting Deq when we return! Thank you!
