I don't like giving a negativereview, working in retail for over 15 years, I believe they can put doubt oncustomers and whether to do business with them. Unfortunately, it's the principle thistime and I feel some issues like mine should have been handled better when I brought this to attention. I have gone to the battery world in vestal 3 times to get a battery and all times left satisfied and trusted I got good service, but NOT this time and I am disappointed in the service, disappointed in the response from the owner.  I brought my truck in for abattery replacement and 3 weeks later my truck was not starting up right with the NEW battery. I checked under the hood to find out the issue was they replaced my original battery set-up parts with a different side post terminal that was too short, wrong size and left the cable nut barely holding the cable on-to the battery. Any good experienced auto service technician would have known this seen this and correctly fix it and would have known leaving it the my cable mount this way would not work well in a moving vehicle later and in time. I really dislike when any auto shop like battery world would leave doing a bad job like this and choking-it-up to the customer will never know what we did. this is the fact of what it is.  I called and brought this matter to the manager's attention. He remembered me coming in to purchase a battery, remembers the installation and blaming ware and tear and NOT the real issue of a incorect part was used in place megshift the job. His reply has left me NOT convincing. It Cost me 10 bucks to get the RIGHT part at the auto store, something they could have gone to get and to do a good job from the start. Personally my original part was in good shape and I feel the technician lost the part, dropped it in the motor compartment and? because I have done that and you need to look for it.  Businesses have to be put on account, ifyou find you don't carry the right parts for every installation, to do theright job, the right thing and let the customer know and try to make it RIGHTthen tell me instead and make it RIGHT and NOT do the shabby work.As far as I am concerned, the customerservice they used to offer has eroded. It is unfortunate because I prefer toshop and go to small businesses to give my business to them, but my experiencethis last time with battery world has given me a different perspectivewhether to do business with them again or having to recheck their workbefore leaving. read more

"Mike Slavic is about as helpful as a Blind Bank teller" I seriously don't know how this place got 5 stars because their Customer Service is horrible! And the Manager is a moron. This has to be the most incompetent business in Vestal NY. I have a registered LLC as a Film Studio and am a Film maker right here in Binghamton. 2 years ago I had 2 Camcorders that are 4K Ultra. Unfortunately they only came with 2 batteries and no charger. I decided to go to Battery World to to buy 2 backup batteries and a Recharger. The Clerk took my information and placed my order. It took nearly a month (3.5 weeks) to get a call saying my order arrived. I went back to the store, paid for my 2 extra batteries and Recharger and left. About 2 years later last week I went into Battery world to see if they still had my order on file because I wanted to buy additional batteries for the same cameras, as I misplaced them. As I was walking into the store a Customer was cursing out what looked like the Store Manager and the customer was furious. I walked pass them straight to the Clerk and this was about the dumbest idiot I ever met in my life. I told him the situation and I was quite professional about it, more than the customer cursing out the Manager. The Clerk then asked for my name which I provided. He then told me that he has the charger that I ordered on file but no recollection of the batteries that his store ordered for me? And to be honest he looked like a frustrated drug addict waiting for me to leave so he can take his medicine. He looked special. I asked him to check his system again and he got frustrated like it was calculus equations or something. I left the store with a business card. I then called the store later that week and asked to speak to the Manager, Mike Slavic, another dumbass. This dude is about as bright as a box of blown lightbulbs. Mike Slavic is about as helpful as a Blind Bank teller. Mike Slavik takes my last name and pulls up my file from 2 years ago. I explain the situation and he also finds the Battery recharger, but again, does not seem to find the battery # anywhere in his system that his store found and ordered. He then tells me the dumbest sh*t I ever heard in my life. He tells me that each Battery recharger is NOT UNIVERSAL and the battery charger is only for that specific battery. I repeat the same thing that he said to me back to him and then asked him to find the battery for that specific charger that they have on file? DUH! Mike then flat out tells me that if I don't have the battery, then there's nothing that he can do! So in other words he said " I love my paycheck but I hate working for it. So don't expect me to do anything that even remotely looks like work, because you're SOL (sh*t out of luck). DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE, EVER. THEY ARE SUPER IDIOTS. read more

Best battery price and service ever. BatteryWorld recently sold us a battery for our 2003 Toyota Truck & John Deer mower/plow. We then bought AA and AAA rechargeable batteries for our mobile radio, flashlights, etc. He removed the Toyota's old grounding cable, replacing it with new & connecting it to the new battery. He did not charge us labor either! WOW! We will buy all of our batteries here & are grateful to the friend who told us about this place. We never knew that it existed! Easy access. This review is LONG overdue, but the customer service at the Vestal Battery World in Vestal is phenomenal! I came in with a battery that had died, so I thought I need a new one. The manager offered to test the battery for me and give me a temp for the weekend before selling me a battery that I may not need! Sure enough, my battery tested out great and I was so grateful for their service that I bought a small, portable battery jump starter which will solve any dead battery problem I may encounter. I went to battery world to see if they have a battery for a 2016 Toyota Tacoma Sport. Sure did. After looking around at other places , Battery world was much cheaper than any store I went to. I couldn't believe it was only 100.00 compared to advanced auto and auto zone. Giving 5 stars to the person who installed my battery and giving me a awesome price. They got me as a customer for life. read more

I went to have a new battery installed after Autozone recommended I go here. The staff seemed put off by the suggestion autozone couldn't accommodate me, and grumbled "that's not true". He did take me in right away, and changed my battery in record time. Everything was great until 2 months later when my battery caught fire and shut down my car on a busy interstate several states away from home. I had to be towed, and rent a car to get to my destination. The dealership confirmed the battery was installed incorrectly by Battery World. It cost me close to $1000 including tow, rental and repair and hours of extra driving to have the car repaired at the dealer. My insurance is going after Battery World for reimbursement, but I had to make a claim, therefore I gear my insurance rates will increase. I would run not walk away from this business read more

Have purchased several batteries here, from small lithium cells to deep cycle and various SLA batteries. Staff always courteous and knowledgeable. The guys have spent considerable time looking up odd items for me, at worst it takes one day to get items from the warehouse. Prices are very good, and you get fresh batteries that haven't been sitting on a rack for a year or more. read more

I called Battery World this morning, on the Vestal Parkway in Vestal. I ask the person that answered if he carried cell phone batteries. He said he had some in stock. I gave him the cell phone model --- SGH-T401G. It is an older phone that Net10 and Tracfone uses. He said, 'What's the battery number or model?" I said, "The phone was dropped and the battery popped out and was lost. Therefore, I don't know the number." He said, 'What's the model of the phone?" I said "I just gave it to you--- SGH-T401G". He said, "nothing is coming up. I need the battery #" I said, "You need a new system that cross references batteries and cell phone models". Ok thanks anyway. What kind of business has a computer with a database that doesn't cross reference associated part numbers and model numbers of the products they sell?? Don't answer that. "Battery World" doesn't know how to build customer satisfaction by offering solutions for their customers. They probably have the battery I wanted; but they can't figure out that sometimes a customer will need a battery that the customer don't know the number of. I don't recommend this place. read more

Stopped by, spoke to Mike, he looked up the battery for my car, said he had 3 in stock. He drove my car into the bay, took out my back seat as the battery is under the back seat. Took all of 10 minutes to pull the old one, install the new one, put the back seat in, I paid (GREAT PRICE) and drove off. Super service!! I HIGHLY recommend this place. read more

Great Service! If you know what you need (model/year of car, boat, atv... what type of engine and battery ports). They keep a lot of batteries for motorized vehicles on hand but they can special order and get it within a few days to a week for most batteries. read more

It's Tuesday afternoon,,about 2:30,,,just got back from Battery World,,,to say the counter person was not helpful is an understatement,,,he might as well have just came out and said he didn't want to help me out,,,,it wasn't rocket science,,,I gave him the dimensions of my battery box,,,he went out and came back with a battery where you had to add the acid,,,I told him that I wanted a sealed battery,,,he told me they didn't make that type,,,,well on the counter was a motorcycle battery the size I was looking for,,,I asked him about it and was told that it was factory programed,,,what ever that is,,,he plain and simple just didn't want to help me out,,,his attitude needed a little tuning up,,,,the only thing he's good for is some bad advertisement,,,I wouldn't go back there,,period,,,,an attitude like his isn't very good for business,,,I wouldn't hire someone like this to work for me,, read more

Visited the Vestal store and got a quote for a new battery for my Mini Cooper. Price quote I thought was low and it caught me by surprise. Attendant says "you want it or not?" I said ok and pulled in the bay. Attendant has trouble finding the hood latch which didn't supprise me because I sometimes have trouble finding it. Popped the hood and attendant says where the battery. I show him where it is and tell him that a panel will have to be removed. He says "I ain't doing that." Won't be going back there again. read more
